I’m always really blown away by these little XJ’s, doing almost everything these custom built rigs with 40 inch plus tires and V8’s are doing, maybe not as graceful, but still getting it done.
I have one of these little xj's at the rusty end of its East Coast life. All I need is to find a good body 99 to 01 style? I don't envy much but watching Matt strip that banana and seeing all that gleaming metal, you don't see that back here in the east.
@@dmelson7502 I’ve got a 2000 that the rust is starting to take, I’ve been on the hunt for another for some time, but the prices have gotten so bad. I bought mine 9 years ago and the body was MINT (engine had a knock and I knew it was going to blow) and I got that one for 850 bucks cash. Hard wheeling and Minnesota rust have really taken a toll on my old girl.
@@Durplepurpskin22 mine did some time dipping a boat in and out of the Chesapeake Bay. Various fluid weeps have preserved the front of the Jeep to the back of the front doors, beyond the passenger doors, sadness. And they don't build them like they used to.
@@dmelson7502 the rockers, and rear body panels are starting to go in a pretty bad way, on mine. I’ve also got a good amount of trail damage to the rest of her. New rockers, doors, and rear panels and she’s 99% rust free. After that it’s getting quarter panel armor with fender flares and getting wrapped. I’d like to keep her going for another 10 years.
@@Durplepurpskin22 I definitely feel your pain. I just picked up a 96 which immediately blew but I'm harvesting the 33 1250s, two smittybilt bumpers and other goodies. It pretty well looks the way I've always wanted it to since 03 and I'd really like to get another decade out of it. Lack of cruise control is the main fly in the ointment.
Found you guys n lovin it!!! Miss the sound of skid plates, cross members, tow bar brkts, 3/8 plate, screetches, drags, metal singing, having the sound reverbirate thru you..I LOVE IT..
I am never surprised how well Matt and Paul do, but for the minimal modifications Rudy gets the trophy! It's good Michelle stayed home, she would have had to walk the whole route having a diversion to sheer thousand foot drops! Great stuff...
Every time I watch you guy out rock crawling it make me think of my husband. He would have loved watching you. He would have loved to be able to go out with you guys rock crawling. He was a god shade tree mechanic, wielder, carpenter etc.. Most of all he was a good man with good morals like loyalties to family and friends. He would do anything to help someone who needed it. I think he would have fit right in with your bunch. Keep having fun for as long as you can and I will keep watching. Maybe one day I can come out there and see you guys in person and watch you do some crawling.
First... love Bleepinjeep channel. You guys rock. Second, as a fan of both MOOR and Fabrats loved seeing Matt and Paul having fun. Third, being a XJ owner, I loved seeing Rudy working his. It seemed to me that comparing the Moorvair to Rudy’s XJ was equivalent to comparing Arnold Schwarzenegger to Franco Columbo. Both awesome, but in different ways.
I have to admit that when I saw this I thought that it wouldn't show me much I hadn't already seen on Matt and Paul's channels. Boy was I wrong. This was brilliantly edited to tell a story. Camera angles were chosen to enhance that story. I just subscribed because of the genius of this. This was so much more than either of their great videos. Thanks a lot.
Over the years I have competed in many disciplines of Motorsports, in one way or another they all involved speed. Nothing near the technical difficulties that rock crawling demands. It's obviously a very social sport, by involving your whole family and friends it covers so many basis and you are all pretty competent at it as well. Hugely impressive.
I never had any children, not sure why, but if I had gone down that road all those years ago I would have been more than happy if they were half as nice people as Mat and Jamie's kids. What articulate, well rounded individuals they all are. Well done.
I don't know how I miss this video. I'm going to go to sandy hollow soon, Thanks to Matt's off road recovery I know which trails to take and not. I've a stock 02 expedition with A/T tires. The video with the lady on the honeymoon trail confirms that I get out there. It's all about tire placement and knowing your truck limits. if I do say myself I'm a good driver.
That looks like fun with the friends and family. I have noticed that none of you drink beers while 4 wheeling lol. In Mississippi we say hold my and watch this but we would probably be at the bottom after about a half case.
I would be shitting bricks to drive on that narrow ridge. just imagine doing a recovery on that ridge! OMG. I'm sorry that white jeep needs to be lifted more to be rock crawling.. nice jeep though. it would look bad ass if it was lifted. Matt your MORR vehicle is bad ass.. that vehicle can go anywhere!! awesome.
Love your videos. And what a lovely family u have. Nice wheeling and pro recoveries 💪🏻💪🏻 Keep it rolling and remember safety first 😉 That Corvair is just awesome 😎 🤘🏻🤘🏻
At 12:55-13:07 were you leaking gas out of your tank?? Does the gas cap not have a good gasket and seal on it? Nice work out there. Looks like a fun off-road trail
I was just thinking.. hang on I've seen Matt and Paul do this then I looked at who's channel it was and thought orhh, ok it's not Matt or Pauls channel lol..
got gas leaking out of the gas fill on that hard lean there. not sure if you can get a one way or something to help with that. Great content as always, what a life
My brother with 98 Cherokee tried to go up some steep rock shelves like that and he busted his transfer case in half, I had to pull him out of the woods in my 2wd Sliverado lol. Got that fixed and he was trying to off road somewhere and spun a bearing on the crank probably from not watching temps and over revving, I told him to find another engine for the thing, tired of rescuing him.
I tell you what I'm pretty impressed with the Corvair think and do some Wheeling and man I wish they would do some upgrades on Rudy Jeep he needs some bad he's going to get a bad break one of these days left setting
Great driving, great machines. Matt, do you use Dry Sump Oiling systems to insure lubrication on steep X-Y axis situations? Those 'sidehill gougers' sure make a mess of the cliffs with their dens.
I have been wondering why the tire size on the Moorvair was chosen to be what they are assuming it was several reasons that were considered. I knew some of the reasons; clearance, gearing, surface area. Seeing it in action like this with other body styles and tire sizes shows how good of a job they did with it.
I'm surprised Paul's truck didn't catch a ledge, since his tail hook was aimed down. Unless his truck can fly like a fighter jet and he is keeping it a secret.

Matt goes for a drive. Everyone else has a challenging off road trip
Exception Paul.

That Morrvair is a beautiful brute!!!! Matt has a great family and channel.

Damn, you guys got some wheelin' trails i wouldn't even WALK on. Great views but scary rides! Awesome vid!
Paul makes it look so easy. He always has the ability to know exactly where he is and exactly when to "give her the onion".

Thank you! We try our best👍
We are so excited to come hang out with Matt and the gang again and go wheeling !! And of course we want to come wheeling with you too sometime Colt !

you should try it, you can get the same adrenaline rush at 0-3 mph!
Yes and just think of how technical is must have been for those in the late 1800's with horse drawn wagons !
13:05 Matt lost about a gallon of fuel~!!~ Where is the Backflow valve? ;p
Matt has a very cool Corvair wagon !
Yes he does👍
So cool you were in Twin Falls, I was born the day he jumped.
Wow, that's rad!
the ending cracked me up... ya stand there look at that and think wtf
Pretty impressed with the ol morrvaire. She does good. Definitely the best looking 4x4 car iv seen as well
Paul is so right on that air down pressure, I like 8 PSI also, but I tend to pop beads, 10 PSI works well and the beads stay on.

I did the Rubicon back when in a 1973 Bronco, The Ledges is way out of my world. Matt your channel is great, keep up the great work..
Morrvair is King
The copper topper keeping just fine good job Rudy
Sheeeesh! This is awesome! Colt, Matt and his fam and Paul is what im talking about!
Great to see this trip again from another perspective 👍
Got to see the old saying in action, don't hesitate accelerate!!
Good job 👍👍
Great trip! The thumbnail is spot on
All your hard work is paying off, looks fantastic, well done
EPIC day to climb rocks & hang out with the boys/ladies too. Beautiful place.
Wow that rig Matt drives really shines in the rock crawling. I need to build one of these ASAP
Okay here I am again watching this but still enjoying it! Matt's first then fab rats and now you guys lol love all the dif content!
Thanks!

13:10 Disadvantages of a vented gas cap
During the building of the wagon I paid attention Matt's planning and detail and knew that Morrvair was going to be an awesome beast.
Loved your version of this run with MORR an FabRats.👍👍👍👍👍
this is pretty incredible.....these guys and their toys are pioneers....making the trail look easy....
That jump ramp at the end of the video I was expecting to hear someone say here hold my beer 🤣
Gosh I love that intro music quite a bit.
Good Ole Howlin at the Moon!
I felt like I was tensing up or holding my breath through a lot of this video good stuff man
That MORR-Vair is a beast!
Would a dry sump be better to ensure lubrication on these trails?
I use kevko oil pans that have the trap doors inside them.👍
Rudy needs a front locker already!!! Make it happen!
And a little bit bigger wheels/tyres.
WOW!!! Badass trail you guys did a fantastic job of concurring it! Props to you all 👍
the moorvaire and the taco are such cool ass vehicles
The curve of those pintle hitches work pretty good as rock sliders lol
The Morrvair is one unique rig! Awesome video and awesome trail
What a cool adventure! Paul's Toy and Matt's Morvair are badass rigs. That said, I dig Rudy's XJ!
Great video! Wish I could make it, running about a month behind that date tho. Have fun!
those two kids at 4:46 by far are better offroaders 😉 tnx guyz amazing
That looks like fun with the friends and family. I have noticed that none of you drink beers while 4 wheeling lol.
In Mississippi we say hold my and watch this but we would probably be at the bottom after about a half case.
This is on my bucket list for sure.
What did we learn? That the morvair has the best approach and departure angle
Morvair don’t care! That things a beast.
That’s some crazy stuff!
Rudys xj is the real hero in this video
Colt this was some serious footage I almost fell off my sofa a couple times watching it 😎👍🏽👍🏽
Three different perspectives on the same trail was fun thanks for the video.
That was an amazing video Colt!!
Ultimate Trail Guide 😂
Ya'all live in some beautiful country!
Awesome video!

I want to ride my bike up to the end of Evel Knievel's Snake River jump ramp!
Great video Colt!
Glad you enjoyed it
Great minds at work,, Don't know where I am but I'm making good time
Love your videos. And what a lovely family u have.
Nice wheeling and pro recoveries 💪🏻💪🏻 Keep it rolling and remember safety first 😉 That Corvair is just awesome 😎 🤘🏻🤘🏻
obviously I need to rewatch the build video I miss something important! Thanks for sharing!

Kinda looks like Rudy needs a front locker.
Best video in a while!
I was just thinking.. hang on I've seen Matt and Paul do this then I looked at who's channel it was and thought orhh, ok it's not Matt or Pauls channel lol..
Great video and amazing 4x4
Awsome vid guys! I watch MORR & BJ!

Love how Rudy's always the underdog...😂😂😂
Imagine what skills he’ll have when he’s Matt and Paul’s age learning from the two of them plus all you other guys.
the morrvair is the boom
Bleepin Corvair, I mean bleepin Toyota Oh ,wait. There's the Jeep. That Moorvair is one of the, if not the coolest thing going.
Cole works for horchata?! My man!
I tell you what I'm pretty impressed with the Corvair think and do some Wheeling and man I wish they would do some upgrades on Rudy Jeep he needs some bad he's going to get a bad break one of these days left setting
morrvair was dripping gas

Hello from Sand Hollow Idaho!
🤫🤪🤙
Looks like the Morrvair did really well considering its wheelbase is so loooong.
You folks are certified crazy.
Fun drive!
I'm surprised Paul's truck didn't catch a ledge, since his tail hook was aimed down. Unless his truck can fly like a fighter jet and he is keeping it a secret.
Fun to watch. Thanks!!
I thought you said that the Morvair was too big for this trail and that's why you needed to finish up the Banana ?? Very cool.
@@MattsOffRoadRecovery Nice can't wait to see that video. But this is also a bad ass trail.
Wow, incredible you all.........
13:20 ...is that gas leaking out of the fuel filler cap!?
Record the sounds of the mufflers on Moorvair, and sell it as a ring tone for phones! That would be a really big hit!
Is that gas coming out of Matt's tank at 13:05?
That'll make your palms sweat
That trail seems to have a certain "pucker" factor... I don't usually get nervous watching this group wheel but I had a moment on this one...
The corvair was sure leaking a lot of gas out of the cap, then again they did just finally hook that up
Ledges freak me out, looks like fun but I think I'd need to be a ride along.
Felicidades todos son profesionales en en sus carros en la montaña
Fun to watch but too scary to do!
