    Hello to everyone. Thanks for choosing to watch my video. Please follow the instructions properly. Buy new fork oil seal from service center cost 250 each and oil of your choice. You need 469ml on each fork. Get T handle and oil seal driver of fz16 from tools shop. Size of T is 28mm.

    Your job execution is way better than done at service centres. I enjoy this type of DIY works and also execute some jobs like drive chain adjustment, valve clearance adjustments etc. myself but have to limit myself due to lack of time as I am a government engineer. Recently I have purchased an FZ25. Its headlight shakes but it is bearable. If possible please show how to remove and fit all the panels as the left rear panel holding the lock for rear seat removal has some scratches which I didn't notice during purchase. Now the dealer agrees to change the said panel. I am never satisfied by the jobs done at ASC. Your channel is very informative. Keep up the good works!

    Thanks a lot for the upload bro! Your explanation is really good and detailed. I changed my fz v1 fork oil seals following your steps. So for all the beginners here are a few more tips from things i faced
    1) the T handle is available at amazon for Rs 300 and instead of seal driver I used PVC pipe of approx 3ft long(ask for 1.5inch pipe) and rubber mallet.
    2)when removing the lower hex bolt make sure you use the hex key exactly as shown in the video, NEVER use it horizontally(it wont go all the way in). I was careless and ended up rounding off the head and had to replace the bolt.
    4) The oil capacity in service manual was 459ml each for v1. Alternatively you can verify the correct level by measuring from top of the inner tube till oil level after filling oil and before inserting spring. It should be 87mm. I used Motul 20W heavy oil and feels its way better than the oe type.
    5) The washer that comes on top of the spring must be placed carefully before inserting the small tube. When dropping in oil it turned over and I couldn't see it in the oil. The top cap almost closed but luckily it didn't and I had to check it again to find out.
    6) If your fork has rust spots on top half, make sure to wet sand it before installing new seal. I used waterproof paper of 1500 first and then 2000 along with wd40. If you don't do this it will damage the new seal.
    Just keep these in mind and follow all the steps carefully shown in this video and you can do it yourself even if you are a beginner.
    Hope this helps 😊

      Get in the tools shop. Say to give for fz. Measure the dia its 28mm. You have to keep searching for it. Best try on tools shop which is near automobile garage or market. If you cant find ask any mechanic from where they get these special tools. No one would resist you telling. This is how i find what i need. The item you need is already there. All you need to think is how you can reach to it.

      Not sure but it should. If you have said to give seal of fz25. Part number change with time. But remain same across all models for common items like oil seal, bearings, bolts.

      From tools shop. Its 28mm. Ask for fork T for fz and roughly measure 28mm.

    Hello everything is fine. thanks for the video, this video was fantastic and very enlightening, here in my country I have not yet found a video on TH-cam as complete as yours about this maintenance on this model of motorcycle, but I still have a question regarding the hexagonal adapter that is part of the T wrench, you posted a link in the description and when I saw this Amazon link about selling this wrench with the hex adapter, it is described in the ad that the hex is 28mm, my question is, is 28mm the width of the hex head? Thanks for an answer, I'm from Brazil.

    Nd what about disc brake, because my disc break is not working after i got repair my forks.

    • @LifeofPal
      @LifeofPal  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is no such thing that it will take time. And have no connection with disc brake.
      Your fork might be bend if you hit accident or pothole anytime before. Bend fork will cause hard to function and issue with brakes.
