I have had hundreds of houseplants. I have successfully grown very finicky plants that require very specific conditions. The spider plant is the ONE plant I can't successfully grow! I'm determined to finally do it!!!
I can’t kill spider plants - one was living on my deck for the last two years without water 90% of the time in full sun and I just wave water at it and it revives. I think of spider plants as being the easiest plant to keep. Maybe it’s because our water isn’t fluoridated
ALLL of my moms plants have FULL light in the south window and SOMEHOW they flourish. succulents, spiders, pothos, umbrella... okay maybe not flourish, but better than mine... so here I am binging your page. I love it, you are super informative and easy to understand
Thanks for the info! I left my spider plant outside all summer, and now that it’s cooler I’ve brought it in and it’s dying on me, and I couldn’t figure out why! I definitely think it’s a lighting issue, now. Unfortunately I live in a basement apartment with not much lighting. Gonna get some lights!
My spider plant has been around for 25 years but it keeps outgrowing the planters amend and it's hanging right now and I don't know what to do help and it also doesn't look good because it keeps squeezing itself against the borders of the planter
.. Boil the water and run it through a paper coffee filter, then let it cool down to room temperature and it's ready for use.. It is as good as buying destilled water and only cost you the time of preparation.. .. Always make sure the water for your plants are room temperature.. Never cold water..
I ordered some spider plants through the mail. I transplanted them and fertilized them, and they did well for about a week now. The leaves are wilting and turning brown any help please
I would love to and wish I could buy a few of your babie spider plants I can’t find anyone or a place to buy them in Ohio and I have grown up with these plants my grandmas is still alive and my mom has it and it’s been in the family since before I was born it older then I am and I’m 37 but mom keeps her babies so no good for me 🫤
Question about having them in a tank. I am having issues with trying to keep mine alive in my tank. No leaves are touching the tank water. The lighting is great, where all of them are. But I'm wondering if it's going to perk up. It's been hanging out with the tank for almost a week now.
They're pickier than I thought. The audacity of that plant to demand rain water / distilled water instead of regular tap water.
Just slap it !!
@@Floppyjos 😂
Right? 😡
is distilled water , also spring or bottled water? I don't have a fish tank?

This video was very informative. Thank you! I will say that I got a bit dizzy with all the moving around, but the info was great!
The one I got from lowes has a lot of brown stems on the babies. They hang high getting direct sun light and tons of water everyday at the store
I thought I was in a plant shop lol wow! What are they called nursery? Trying to grow some plants 💚🌱
Perhaps you could differentiate between city water and well water. We have “tap water” but we have a well. No chlorine or fluoride.
This was really helpful, thank you! 👍
I fill my copper watering can filled with tap water and they flourish
Great tips, and I love your aquarium and plant setup! You have my sub. 👍

What about water bottle water?
How about using tap water that you let sit for a few days to a week?
That probably won't work with the chemicals used today.
