The YEPOMETER went off the charts on this one lads. hahaha. Hanging on every word Sean had to say, an utter professional in his field and presented his facts so effortlessly, i learned a lot, thank you.
Oh man, most relatable video ever - talking to a subject matter expert who explains their stuff so well and completely that all you can do is say, "yep, yep, yep, yeah" to show that you're listening because they're doing such a good explaining that you have no questions.
Never sell out. Your content is so good and relatable. There are enough channels sending their rigs off to get top of the line stuff put on them get them back and go destroy them. Not realistic. Also yes for the fuel pump episode!
100%, it's refreshing just watching a 4wd channel without constant sponsorships being shoved down our throats. I've stopped following a lot of channels now that sell their soul.
This might be one of the most knowledgeable guys I have ever heard when it comes to diesel fueling and injection. Great job getting him on the channel and documenting everything - thanks for sharing!
What an insanely informative and interesting episode. I am a mechanic apprentice and learned more about injectors in 40 minutes then in 2 years of Tafe Definitely keen to see an episode on fuel pumps. I've always been impressed with the editing on your videos and today was no exception. Great job guys.
Fuel pump video on the 80's pump and the TD42 pump would be great, seeing the differences between the two and maybe the TD's injectors as well, now that we've seen toyota 80 series direct injection. Makes a big difference having someone who's an expert in their craft. So much to learn
We had a 2.8T rodeo ute and on the way to town it would go from noisy to quiet in almost the same spot every day. I now know exactly why - thanks Shaun
Excellent video. Thank you! Great to keep these old Landcruisers running well. 100% please do a fuel pump rebuild video. I’ve also got a 1HDT manual 80 series.
So good mate. My engine 1HDT has 383000 on it and blows a bit of black smoke on cold start but runs fine and not lacking power, i have fitted a large front mount intercooler but i learn’t a lot. I run diesel power fuel additive every time i put fuel in but great stuff to know. Would be great also to see how the pumps are done so maybe do it if needed. Cheers and happy 4wding.
great video, wicked content, very thorough, great to understand these older direct injection injectors, thanks guys! Common rail is yet to win me over, love the older simpler stuff.
Shaun is incredible with what he knows & his knowledge base is out of this world & I really love how thorough he explains things, which is gold.... a great teacher!.
this exactly the content and info I was looking for!! Just came back from 20 days of desert crossings in Libya where we had very very very bad diesel. Rough startups with white smoke ... have the Patrol (ZD30) in at the mechanics and now looking at having the injectors serviced for sure! 300,000 km on the dot so deffo in for a service anyhow (plus ordering a RACOR prefilter for future prevention) cheers from Italy!!
Awesome video, blows Dan's Master class out of the park LOL.Injectors, who would have thought they could be so interesting, said anybody who watches this video. Keep up the great work.
hi guys. very very informative . i have changed injectors but never even attempted to rebuild them. not a big job if you have all the right gauges etc. and now anyone who watches this will know the difference between direct injection and pre-injection.great job👍
Great stuff with no bs! My hdt is just getting a bit smoky too after a long trip. I was thinking valve stems but this now has me thinking injectors. Love to see the pump vid as well! Keep up the good work of demystifying this simple stuff!! Luv to know approx costs too
I’ve only just finished changing the injectors on my 1HD-FTE. Took nearly a day to get it stripped done to where I could remove the injectors. The 1HDT 12 valve like your looks so much easier. Great video.
You should to start running injector cleaner in your diesel, it really does make a big difference in longevity of injectors and impacts fuel economy. My 5.9 cummins used to haze at cold start idle, then I ran injector cleaner through it for 5 or 6 tanks and haze disappeared completely, my fuel economy went up 20% (averaged 650-670km per 65ltrs of diesel 28-30mpg not towing). Love the land cruisers, those thing are pricy here in canada, I'd love to get a diesel for my 91 hilux.
Very good vid, been thinking for a while my injectors may need some attention, now l def know they do! Thanks Patrick very informative detail from Shaun.
I dare anyone to have drinking game while watching this episode. You have to have a drink every time Patty says YEAH or YEP ! Great watch though boys, thanks
Superb video, just don't say 'right' so often. Seriously though this was really good, well made and filmed and edited and heaps of respect to Sean, or Shaun for taking the time to explain the process and the work. I think most people who have and work on somewhat older diesel cars know about injectors and pumps, and this for me was fab. Would really like to see a vid on pumps, too. The joy of YT is the breadth of material and I've wached how injectors work and the two-stage process, and also somewhat understand the roto mechanical pump from watching some Bosch videos. Anything you could to to add to this, especially the boost compensation system would be really goood. I'm looking to add a turbo to a '92 Toyota diesel and general and specific knowledge is always a good thing. Will be getting my injectors serviced too and this was really helpful for the future. Thank you!!
Superb video.. really enjoyed the brain download from Shaun, much respect! So well edited too, loved the factory manual shots and side by side of before/after etc.. A thoroughly enjoyable and educational episode. Excellent!
Some of the best content I’ve seen on TH-cam mate Good job Very useful and educational I’m having similar issues on my 80 and this was a great help Hope to see the video on the injector pump Thank you
Fantastic episode, best explanation I've ever seen of how a diesel fuel injection system works, Shaun's a legend! Thanks for taking the time to get this organized and film it all.
Amazing video. Superb information. My BT50 scored a piston and the scan tool said it had a leaky injecor condition. This information helps explain the cause and the result in a way an idiot like me can understand.
Great video guys. Yes it’s good marketing for them promoting their business but this was so detailed and easy to understand and really was an educational video Compared to some other channels where on the cover it looks like it’s an educational video but really it’s 5 min education and then 25 mins pure promotion and selling their brand! So epic work guys!
Fantastic informative and interesting video lads 👍 Shaun knows his stuff, I rebuilt diesel locomotive injectors for a number of years so found this great to watch 👍🍻
Great video guys...that man...wow...he is an Encyclopaedia of injectors a lot went over my head but what sunk in, was bloody interesting...well done boys
Top notch episode, I learnt so much. I'll be doing my injectors now as I am currently experiencing the same issues with my 80. I am also keen to see an EP on fuel pumps. Your channel is a good balance of education and entertainment, thanks and keep up the great content 👍
Thank you so much for making this video guys. Patrick the excitement you had of the end result was great to see. Our cars are our legs I say, so why not look after them because when they are gone you ain’t going anywhere. 👍. Regards, Mario.
Brilliant to see such professionalism form Shaun -- he is clearly a South African ( ex ) = = = best in the World -- so good to see him helping his Ozzie mates -- 😜😜😜
Yeahp yep, yep yeahp, mmmm. Ah ok. Yeah yeap. Yep. Yep. Yeah yep yeahmmm mmmm mmm yeeeah right yeah yep yep yep ah righto atomisation yep yep. Awesome episode boys. Awesome information and great to see you guys are still keeping it real. Love your work.
I Just did a change over of 6 injectors on my GU Td42ti down at Patrolspart & it cost $640. Mate she’s starting better in the cold morning & is better on fuel.
This is a stellar ep gents. Subject matter expert, talking common language - just need to drop a bit of Uncle Dan in there for some added subject matter expert gold 😂
Wow. This would have to be the most informative video on injectors. I was blown away with every bit and pieces of an injector, plus direct and indirect. Awesome that you guys where able to see and learn the process, this include myself, plus getting the right parts. Love to see more of these videos'. Cheers
Keen to see a fuel pump video. I'm thinking about a fuel pump upgrade and want to get rid of the 90s electronics from nissan Qd32t seems to still run great but it's really really slow at highway speeds but not every day, sometimes it's fast and runs great
I just learnt soo much! What a great episode, i cant wait for a fuel pump episode. Also very relateable as im about to book my 80 in for a new set of injectors and a fuel pump.... also a front mount and a spicy UFI turbo 🤘😼 i can't wait
Brilliant video thanks. Yeh do the fuel pump that would be interesting. Was wondering about FTE difference in injectors fuel pump etc and the changing of an FTE to pure mechanical timing...
760,000km on my 93 1HD-T. Way overdue myself. Looking at getting pump & injectors done myself. Just been too busy to get to it. So personally I would like to see the pump getting done. Although....... I've also developed a massive oil leak, so am wondering if it's time to bite the bullet & rebuild the complete engine, a little bigger turbo & injectors/pump increase too
The YEPOMETER went off the charts on this one lads. hahaha. Hanging on every word Sean had to say, an utter professional in his field and presented his facts so effortlessly, i learned a lot, thank you.
Was a bit much.
I came to comments to see how much this was mentioned 😂
Awesome episode guys, no stupid loud music or bs just super informative and detailed info from all involved. 👍🏼
Thanks mate !
Oh man, most relatable video ever - talking to a subject matter expert who explains their stuff so well and completely that all you can do is say, "yep, yep, yep, yeah" to show that you're listening because they're doing such a good explaining that you have no questions.
😂😂 pretty much! Shaun was in encyclopaedia on this stuff !!
Sometimes all you can say is that to show you're listening
Never sell out. Your content is so good and relatable. There are enough channels sending their rigs off to get top of the line stuff put on them get them back and go destroy them. Not realistic. Also yes for the fuel pump episode!

Smart dude and very modest. Nice one lads.
Shaun knows his stuff! Nice seeing a guy passionate about his profession. Respect.
This might be one of the most knowledgeable guys I have ever heard when it comes to diesel fueling and injection. Great job getting him on the channel and documenting everything - thanks for sharing!
bloody hell this guy knows his stuff! great vid and very informative.

Have to do the diesel pump next not wait until it’s playing up
We had a 2.8T rodeo ute and on the way to town it would go from noisy to quiet in almost the same spot every day. I now know exactly why - thanks Shaun
Great video 👍🏼 it was awesome that Shaun was willing to share all his knowledge on the subject, he obviously knows his stuff!
Thanks, Shaun was so kind in sharing all his knowledge!
Excellent video. Thank you! Great to keep these old Landcruisers running well.
100% please do a fuel pump rebuild video. I’ve also got a 1HDT manual 80 series.

Another great no nonsense video. A definite yes to a fuel pump video.

Please do a diesel pump vid and include adjustment of boost compensator and fuel pin that would be great
Great stuff with no bs! My hdt is just getting a bit smoky too after a long trip. I was thinking valve stems but this now has me thinking injectors. Love to see the pump vid as well! Keep up the good work of demystifying this simple stuff!! Luv to know approx costs too

Cracking video! Props to old mate from MTQ for a great explanation and demonstration of how to do stuff!!
Thanks mate! Glad you enjoyed it!
Such a great video filled with a wealth of knowledge

I use Morey's in my D-Max have done for years to negate the low sulphur diesels lack of lubricity...
This diesel tech is so knowledgeable and so good at explaining these concepts. Great job capturing this content!
Very good vid, been thinking for a while my injectors may need some attention, now l def know they do! Thanks Patrick very informative detail from Shaun.
The thing about your channel is that I learn something new all the time. Love your presentation in more technical topics like this, keep it up guys ❤

"Yep" "Yeah" "Yep" "Right" Otherwise this was a decent video!
@@ammuka Very annoying, i almost quit the vid because of it. The injector tech saved the day.
Love these sorta episodes. You guys cover everything. But also the camping videos are good as well. It’s a good balance between info and camping.
Thanks bowsa!
Awesome episode. So good to see a practical breakdown of exactly how these things work. Top job!! Thank you.
Superb video.. really enjoyed the brain download from Shaun, much respect! So well edited too, loved the factory manual shots and side by side of before/after etc.. A thoroughly enjoyable and educational episode. Excellent!

Great video. Very keen to see a similar video on the injector pump
Great episode guys, I'll wait until Shaun comes back to South Africa to have mine done 😂
I learned a lot, thank you. We are waiting for the second part.
This guy knows his stuff, nice clean shop cheers.

Cheers boys, I learnt abit today to. And I'm about to do mine as well. Nearly 200000 on the old girl. Thanks for the heads up today.
Record of “Yeps” being said in one video, is right here!!! 😂
Great video I learned a lot. Really good video work as well, top notch.
760,000km on my 93 1HD-T. Way overdue myself. Looking at getting pump & injectors done myself. Just been too busy to get to it. So personally I would like to see the pump getting done.
