What a great trip and video. You know what I love about you guys? No manufactured issues, no coincidental multi-car time bound rescues, no world ending bogs that just happened to be on the beach with the tide coming in... Just 3 gents having a great time, being smart and having a yarn. Loved it, thanks guys :)
Also, they didn't need to drag an 8m fishing boat, 2 jet skis, thundercat, tinny, beer trailer, and a caravan each and race around like headless chooks 'ticking' off every corner of the island with as many instagirls as they could find. Just a handful of mates respectfully enjoying the island and each others company.
A tip for keeping the sand out of your swag/rooftop: leave a clean dustpan brush in there and just give your feet a quick brush as you get in bed. Had the same rooftop for 2 years and never had an issue with sand doing this 👍.
So surprised there were no by-standers at Ngkala Rocks. Usually that is packed with people watching 4WDs cross. What an epic trip boys. Thoroughly enjoyed that. Thanks for sharing.
I very much can appreciate dan not wanting to do damage, regardless of how old or new your 4wd is no one wants damage but I rekon a good idea for a video could be dan making himself a rear bar ! I know that blokes got some ideas stored away in his head. Cheers boys another great vid 🍻
Been watching your videos from the start but this would have to be my favourite so far. Watching you boys ripping around Fraser was awesome. Genuine fellas having genuine fun times. Keep it up legends 👍🏻
1. its "parmi" short for "parmi"giana. 2. that fresh water lake looks absolutely amazing. 3. im certainly not a fishing person, i just find it boring but that drone footage of the casts and fish chasing the lure was pretty bloody cool. 4. im with ya on the sand... avoid the water but yea, there is still salt in that sand. after every beach trip i do, i'll do a fresh water crossing a few times to wash out any sand and salt on the way home. crossing is going to get everywhere i cant with the hose too.
Boys, one thing I learned about salting the chips, or anything fried, take about 20-30 mils of water, add salt in it and mix it well. Once mixed, put the salty water on top of the frying stuff carefully (while it's still in the oil)... The crispy salty taste is out of the world! Do try this and see if you like this taste...
Thanks for another great video. As has already been said, no hyped up mega recoveries or searching for vehicle wrecking lines. You guys simply enjoyed the island and yourselves and it filmed really well.
What an awesome trip, even better that nothing went amiss or blew up!! LOL Fraser (K'gari) is an amazing place, went a long time ago, when you could still walk in amongst the Satinay Trees, which were so amazingly tall. Such a magic place!
Welcome to qld life guys. K’gari Frazer island is my local. I’ve been going up there since before they even stopped logging and still every time I go there is something new to see.
Great trip. It’s definitely easier driving when the islands had some rain. I think it actually makes it a better trip. You can do what you want to do without having to worry about getting stuck all the time.
I don't understand how anyone gets bogged on the island? Unless taking a trailer over ngala rocks, I can't see how it's possible? Unless you have tyres over 20psi? Maybe there are spots I haven't seen?
Depends. I’ve been there after long periods of hot dry weather and the sand is deep and powdery. Around Xmas it’s totally cut up from every man and his dog and the ruts can be deep in places from bigger vehicles on larger tires. Mere mortals with stocko utes on smaller tires just end up tobogganing on their underbelly. Obviously it’s not on the hard packed stuff, more seen trouble running in the deeper sand at high tides, beach exits, some of the inland tracks.
Good to see you guys are keeping it real unlike some other TH-camrs who started off doing touring videos similar to yours but have now gone nuts and doing extreme 4x4ing and just braking stuff, I believe most of us prefer being able to drive our 4WD’s home than getting towed home, cheers and beers.
17:35 agree about the sun not being so harsh as Melbourne. I used to live in WA and could be out in the sun all day no worries and never ever get burnt. As soon as I moved to Melbourne, I'd burn so easily. I went to the QLD for a holiday and didn't get burnt at all for the whole time I was there out in the sun
Here I go looking for 2nd hand land cruisers again. Awesome post guys! Looks like you are living the life. Dont have much of this sort of thing on the beach in South Africa but would love to get in a trip like this each year. Will have to look at Namibia and Mozambique.
Well done boys, great trip. Lived in Hervey Bay for a long time so enjoyed Fraser alot. You def right about the sun and also about driving on the sand, its been in the salt water for as long as time so its just as salty as the water itself. Also well done for calling it Fraser Island lads!
Fantastic trip lads. Well filmed & no pre planned drama 🍻 Pro tips: Hunt for tailor in the gutters & around reef with waves breaking over it. When there's a beach/dune track that splits in two then joins back up to itself, take the left hand track lest you come across someone coming the other way. Great work 🤙
Ive been casually following your channel for a while. Gotta say, mate, I love how your channel is coming along, production quality has gone up and up. Really enjoying your videos. Your Hill End vid is on my doorstep, we’re in Bathurst. I reckon I’m going to have to head out and do the Bridle Track, haven’t got out and explored here yet, we’ve only been out here 2 months.
Before you put the foil on the parmas, pour a little bit of beer or water in the pan to help steam things up and melt the cheese. Awesome video, as always!
That was definitely a great trip for you guys ( And Dan's Lady) didn't see much of Her😳 Why? The fishing 🎣 is always great their. Pity Dan didn't pull in that big One😢. Absolutely Great filming ✔️✔️💯💯. A memory you'd never forget. Cape York Next?? See you on the Next adventure.
Absolutely brilliant trip boys (& gal). Ngkala Rocks looked relatively quiet during your visit. No audiences. Looking forward to the rest of your trip. 👍
Uhhh..... that beautiful music at the 27min mark with the drone looking at the fishing going on really hit me, very proud to be an Aussie! Well done lads
Awesome video, so professionally done. Never been to Fraser would love to go one day. Long way from South Croydon Victoria, but still want to get there ..... even if I'm getting on in age, young 56 year old with a toy 4wd. One day hopefully. Liam falling asleep and later all you guys pissing yourself laughing was pure gold. All four of you must've had the best time away. Love your videos guys.
Been so hanging out waiting for this, Awesome, you did what you always do, presented a brilliant episode exposing K'gari at its best. Gobsmacked by erosion along Elli, but it changes almost daily. That west coast, if you submerge yourself in the winter months, the whale songs are bewildering, such a thing to hear, under water song, above water just ripples on surface, chalk & cheese. Guys, go back for 8 days, there's so much more to see. Regards, Wealie. Dan, you need to practise your pebble throwing, line Liam up after that 😮 😅😅.
Absolutely brilliant ep fellas. Love your take on Fraser. Such a great place! Next time you also need to check out Moreton and Straddie Islands. Hit us up, happy to be tour guides!
Sucks to see Dan go, we need more trips with all 3 of you. Very cool episode can't wait for more. I agree with the sun. Melbourne is a lot like New Zealand. A mild sunny day can burn you bad. QLD not as bad or you don't feel it till it's to late. Sadly I've only done Fraser Island as one of them tourist's fresh off the plane from NZ was also just a kid. It's one place I'd love to take my kid's to go see.
Good trip & gr8 ep guy’s. Locals call it Fraser Island & it is the greatest place for a 4WD adventure, you could see a lot in 4 days if your fairly active like you guy’s, but I reckon 5-7 days would be heaps better, there is a lot to see & do. Love the Dingos, they’re just hungry puppy’s.
Guys, awesome video.good camera work, could actually see the difference in how the vehicles handled different terrain. all the work Liam has done on his car sure showed he did it right. cool vid, pretty hard to beat the mateship you guys have. look forward to your next video👍.
Such a great episode I had to come back and watch it again. You really need to get over to WA where there are plenty of beaches to legally drive on. Yes, it's a long drive but worth it. Most WA people learn their off-roading on the beach and dunes. Tyre pressure, gear selection and momentum are the rules we live by - except the committed 40 psi club!
Having the time off ya life's 👍👍 did ya eat any fish you caught they looked good , gee dinner time your eating like kings living the dream 👌fantastic videos
I've found the worst part of going to Fraser over the years, is having to leave. Glad you guys and girls got to experience it. Hope you stopped off at Kennilworth and Glasshouse on the way back down hehe
Great vid, despite poor audio. The further south you go the harsher the sun. Even worse in tassy as Tyler Thompson said when he was there. Tastiest sun in harshest
Awesome video. The best trip video you've done. The format with the three of you (and company) is fantastic. Great content, great production. This is as good as any trip format content on TH-cam. Congratulations, this video is as good as the best on TH-cam, and better than most. Your build, mechanical... and other content is also great. Consider subtlety contributing to the culture of the community by quietly increasing awareness (without making too big a deal about it). Keep respecting the tracks. Maybe pick up one piece of litter or clean up the camping site when you arrive. You don't even have to make a comment. I wouldn't preach because you might alienate some viewers. By increasing awareness and improving the culture of the community you will make a difference and help keep places and tracks open. 😁 Again, awesome video and progress with your channel. 👍👍👍👍👍
Agreed. Also I've seen the boys clean up campsites in other videos and make mention of it to the community. They are on the right track and its great see! Good bunch of young blokes with their heads on straight. Really refreshing content.
Guys, I'm Victorian unfortunately, I moved to QLD when I was 12 and now I've lived in every state and Territory apart from ACT and Tassie and can say that the sun is definitely different between Victoria and QLD
Hi Dan boys love your vid, Dan what roof rack did you use to mount your rooftop tent too? I’m about to mount mine. Feedback would be great. Thank you !
Most take their pickles off their burger. Weirdos. Use wire tracers Best way to get sand off your feet & skin is talcum powder Where did you learn that trick, Liam? Dandenong? Personally I look for a freshwater creek crossing as soon as I leave the beach
You boys do realise there is a blanket speed limit on the island. Just kidding, great video as always. Good friends, vehicles and planning makes for a good time.
Would have written something similar, but you said it. Cheers, All.
Thanks mate! Glad you enjoyed it! We had a blast!
underrated comment.
You just did a description for every 4wd24/7 video BUT people still eat it up haha
Quick jab at 24/7 followed by a knock out punch
Also, they didn't need to drag an 8m fishing boat, 2 jet skis, thundercat, tinny, beer trailer, and a caravan each and race around like headless chooks 'ticking' off every corner of the island with as many instagirls as they could find. Just a handful of mates respectfully enjoying the island and each others company.
Gosh it’s so refreshing watching a 4x4 camping show where they don’t say every 5 minute “It can’t get better than this!”
Proper jab at 4wd action 😂😂
A tip for keeping the sand out of your swag/rooftop: leave a clean dustpan brush in there and just give your feet a quick brush as you get in bed. Had the same rooftop for 2 years and never had an issue with sand doing this 👍.
sock full of talcum powder helps the sand slide right off your feet too
dab it on ya feet and it wont stick like glue
Second this, do the same things and it works a treat
good on you
yay me
So surprised there were no by-standers at Ngkala Rocks. Usually that is packed with people watching 4WDs cross. What an epic trip boys. Thoroughly enjoyed that. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Fatman!!
I very much can appreciate dan not wanting to do damage, regardless of how old or new your 4wd is no one wants damage but I rekon a good idea for a video could be dan making himself a rear bar ! I know that blokes got some ideas stored away in his head.
Cheers boys another great vid 🍻

Been going there for 30 years and it just gets better. Beautiful place. Birrabeen is surreal.
Yeah it's bloody awesome!

Once mixed, put the salty water on top of the frying stuff carefully (while it's still in the oil)... The crispy salty taste is out of the world! Do try this and see if you like this taste...
Well done lads! Really enjoying this series, you guys are pumping out some of the best Australian made 4WD and camping content there is.
Thanks Leeroy, that really means alot ! Cheers
Thanks for another great video. As has already been said, no hyped up mega recoveries or searching for vehicle wrecking lines.
You guys simply enjoyed the island and yourselves and it filmed really well.

the summer sun in qld is no joke especially at the beach
Try Tassie for sunburn 😢

Awesome and outstanding as always. Thanks for sharing and taking us along

Dan, you have to introduce us to Mrs Dan
Some people don't want their relationship in the public eye & some people don't want to be in the public eye.
Pretty simple
Absolutely brilliant trip boys (& gal). Ngkala Rocks looked relatively quiet during your visit. No audiences. Looking forward to the rest of your trip. 👍

Great trip episode boys !
Cheers guys !! :)
Such a ripper ep boys. I reckon it's the best yet! Cheers for the ride along.
Loved it guys, Fraser is an awesome spot
The fishing part was amazing you guys are the only 4x4 channel I watch

Awesome episode, guys. Keeping it real well done
Gday, I gotta say this was one of the best episodes Ive seen in a long time
That patrol of dans is a beauty
Great timing I just arrived on the island this afternoon cheers guys great episode
KEEN! Watching it on the Telly 🤙. No doubt will be of my favourite episodes.

I sympathize with Dan on the fuel. My TB48 in low range just loves the stuff 😁
Such a great episode I had to come back and watch it again.

Awsome episode guys 🤘

Bloody rippa episode guys. Go the vics 💪
The fish you thought was maybe a tailor was a queen fish, good catch
Great video boys! The Ozone hole thing is a myth but I agree Melb sun for some reason burns!

AWESOME STUFF GUYS WHAT A TRIP ... BIG THUMBS UP 👍😃👍
What a great video and great adventure.
Thanks mate! We had a blast!
Awesome video guys
Love the banter of the salt 😂
See you in the next one
Guys, I'm Victorian unfortunately, I moved to QLD when I was 12 and now I've lived in every state and Territory apart from ACT and Tassie and can say that the sun is definitely different between Victoria and QLD
So jealous of this trip looks amazing. Here in the states we have Colorado and Utah but nothing like that place. Cheers to a sick video
My hot tip - Baby powder removes sand before jumping in your tent / swag.
Hi Dan boys love your vid,
Dan what roof rack did you use to mount your rooftop tent too?
I’m about to mount mine. Feedback would be great. Thank you !
Any interaction with the local constabulary? They're a big fan of a GQ with a capable tyre
So good. Looove K'gari
Great video fellas!
Another great episode guys thanks
Thanks fellas fantastic video love watching your channel 💯👍👍👍
nice catch Liam and Dan
Great video lads, keen af to get up that way some day!
Best. Episode. Ever.
haha, once youse go the sandy cape, the editing with the music reminds me of a 4wd 24 7 style vid
Most take their pickles off their burger. Weirdos.
Use wire tracers
Best way to get sand off your feet & skin is talcum powder
Where did you learn that trick, Liam? Dandenong?
Personally I look for a freshwater creek crossing as soon as I leave the beach
Any change to avoid the coffee rocks when low tides?
It was cool the little it’s got a tail like a shiba. So few know them.
Thats the way to do it boys....
On the vbs too...yewwww
West is best 😉 aiming to be there next year 👌🏼 with all the driving around how much fuel did you boys use ?
Thanks lads
Mint ep boys! No kangaroos but there use to be heaps of brumbies
That 80 sounds awsome 🔥
Great Episode 👍
Im amazed how people get soooo excited about driving on the beach. Go bush then youll get excited.
Quality video bois!
Come over to the real West, over here in WA. Love to meet you guys at a meet and greet!
Dan, for your information, here in SA, they're called Parmy's, 😊not Parma's
You boys do realise there is a blanket speed limit on the island.
Just kidding, great video as always. Good friends, vehicles and planning makes for a good time.
Lol lads stop watching ABC ON THE CLIMATE 😂😂😂😂
Cheers young fellas
