Bethesda games is a masterpiece
8:28 was the best part
Well, this game is when you become a certain someone. It wa all a preparation! That's why this game is weird!
Oblivion dialogue is like that moment when you say goodbye to someone and proceed to walk in the same direction as them.
Some NPCs do that and still engage in another conversation after that... makes you think.
I am now an Oblivion NPC. I meet people after saying bye quite frequently.
So basically the moment after you leave Helgen in Skyrim.
Or when you bump into your neighbour for the 3rd time in one day and have already exhausted smalltalk
I will literally inconvenience myself and walk in the opposite direction just to avoid that
"Oblivion was broken to the point of perfection" - some comment on another video
These moments make Oblivion unique and interesting!
It's not a bug, it's a feature
Most of this video does not even show bugs what are you talking about? This is 90% just player-npc dialogue
honestly, that's the best way to describe it.
The bugs weren't game-breaking, they were game-making.
Well, usually anyway

I like how the guard is like
"Don't worry buddy I got that fine for you :) SIKE! Your ahh is going straight to jail!"
I remember in oblivion when you are in Castle Bruma after gathering the town guards from all over, to protect the prince, if you go and attack a civilian, or a guard, the Bruma guards will come after you and all the other guards and civilians will attack the Bruma guards, to protect you.
There is nothing more satisfying than watching the Bruma guards get slaughtered by a mob of civilians and other guards.
Sometimes I like to take a break from the epic pretentiousness of Skyrim and return to Oblivion. It’s like a warm cup of cocoa on a cold winter’s night.
Skyrim isn't pretentious

@@zion897And Oblivion isn't?
I started playing Oblivion some 4 days ago, and it's just bizarre how accurate this video is, holy shit.
I tried!
Out of all the hours i put in oblivion i never knew that if you were on good terms with the guards they would actually ignore crimes.
I also learned that later on! Unless you only do good stuff the guards really never like you on that level...
Who else kept a save file from right before that Dark Brotherhood party mission so they could try to complete it on as many ways as possible?
1:16 If only this waited for the next game. "Today is your lucky day! FUS RO DAH!"
This, is, Sparta
I liked how the NPC characters were unique and diverse with their own minds. Obviously there was something buggy, (can't even try to deny that) but I hope they can work with this programming successfully someday
It's something Skyrim lacked hard...
@@ThatsCoolDude For sure!
Currently replaying this for the millionth time and it just never gets old😭 I have so much love for oblivion
I'm happy that you're enjoying it!
GUARDS! IM BEING ROBBED, HELP GUARDS! GUARDS! "hey that's mine." Gets me every time. I love how he just completely changes to a calm tone just after screaming at the top of his lungs for the gaurd.
I always love when you have a high personality with the guards, they will attempt to arrest you and smile through the entire process 😂
This could've just been 11 minutes of the speechcraft wheel and it would still be funny.
7:46 I'm going to start using that. Great line
Very applicable.
4:06 Guard: "How can I help you?"
Me: A fair question, but I'm afraid he's beyond any help at this point... 😂
This is a classic. It was a major part of my childhood. Never gets old 😂
My favourite glitch from my own experience was when I left a shop and all the characters in the Imperial City were floating around an T-posing. It creeped me the hell out.
Thanks for sharing! T-posing NPCs is something that never happened to me in Oblivion or even Skyrim!
@@ThatsCoolDude The Glenmoril Witch's can t-pose when you take their heads in Skyrim, but now I want to search Oblivion for t-posing NPCs.
I really wish they'd release a version of the game with their original npc ai software. sh!t would be crazy fun rofl
The NPCs would have killed themselves off before you got to any quests...
So much personality in this game, hopefully the next game doesn't take itself as seriously as Skyrim does.
Hopefully the questlines are less bland!
Hopefully the next game isn't just another Skyrim
Skyrims world was pretty but the people? Baaagh ugly and cold, typical nords. Didnt even give their hero dragonborn a celebration! _Just pathetic._
To give Skyrim some credit, the game is great if you're able to set your own goals rather than follow the Dragonborn questline. I'm currently doing a heavy armour mace and shield run with no fast travel, I'm currently level 30 with 20k+ gold with 3 level 90 skills with buffs. Did the Markarth questline and been traveling around in that region doing dungeons until I move on to do quests in central Skyrim. I haven't even gotten the Horn of Jurgen Windcaller yet and I'm having more fun playing Skyrim then I ever did doing the questline.
Skyrim feels dry - for lack of a better word. Oblivion oozed charm and soul. Its quirks were kinda like freckles (blemishes that added character).
9:21 Oblivion has quite a lot of fun dialogues with intelligent humour..something Skyrim really lacked
It didn’t need humor. Morrowind didn’t have much humor in it either.
@@VexJinks I disagree. I do enjoy the games but It would have made the dialogues more fun and given the characters more personality. The divinity games do it really well.
Skyrim and Fallout 4 did their humor more environmentally than with dialogues. Like that Riekling cave with the one shack full of porn books.
What happened to the guy in the chair who was saying weird shit
@@VexJinks Even so, humor gives it a bit of personality as well as immersion if done properly.
Looks like you are in some trouble. Since we are friends. Don’t worry. I’ll look the other way and take care of that fine for you.
*Does a 360*
2:03 can't help but think that the Argonian outside is saying all of that while holding his laughter and dancing like Cicero
I wouldn't be surprised... Guess we'll never know...
7:28 I love that he snatched back the mead you were holding 😂😂😂
