Okay but for real, can you imagine being a member of the Mythic Dawn while Camoran is about to give some sermon, and out of goddamn nowhere the fucking Grey Fox jumps in, clocks Camoran and his guards in the jaw, snatches up the holy tome, and runs back out, beating absolutely everybody unconscious or dead on his way out?

It could have been super interesting if the factions were tied to the main quest. You would pick just one guild to join in the beginning, and then that would alter the main story. It would give players incentive to do multiple playthroughs, instead just maxing out their edgelord murderhobo crusader arch mage mad god

Yah know…the idea of various important/high level character going through the main quest of Oblivion is cool. Like the Grey Fox, the Listener, the Grand Champion, or the Arch Mage being the hero of Kvatch is actually super neat.
I’m imagining an avenger’s style team of these guys. Using their skills and abilities to help stop the oblivion crisis. It’s really interesting.
Yeah! Wonder if there's a parallel universe with an Oblivion multiplayer where you can do just that!

Nick Fury- Jauffre (I can totally see the likes of the Blades acting as a sort of Shield like entity in this timeline. And all the major guilds/factions providing a champion or hero of sorts)
The Hero of Kvatch being some guy/lady no one knows prior but still rising above and inspiring the nation I feel fits greatly. As they’re the only one of the Elder Scrolls’s protagonists technically not decided by fate to act on this journey.
Except it's all one person...
I just completed oblivions main quest for the first time and didn't start it till level 30.. at a high level Martin septim is frustrating as hell, he can even prove incompetent on the lowest difficulty. The enemies are just too strong for him lol. (In hindsight Martin should level up with the player forever)
Can you beat Oblivion while keeping the Adoring Fan alive? You have to get him as soon as possible, he must always come with you, and he cannot die or you lose.

The infamy system pisses me off just because the Dark Brotherhood missions give it to you even if the target is guilty of several crimes moral and legal and then no one likes me and I lose the Divine Crusader relics
Those relics can be lost pretty easily and I don't think there's a person that actually went on a second Pilgrimage to get them back...
Also, the system could use some improvement but I still missed it in Skyrim...
@@ThatsCoolDude I went on the first few DB quests after finishing the main quest. I killed: A pirate, a serial killer, a terrorist warlord, a pedo necromancer (unless that was for Meridia); I helped a guy fake his death and still got infamy
Reasons I did the Thieves guild first. Shove the cowl on for the quest completion to get the infamy there instead. Peeved me off that I always did things with perfect stealth where noone saw and somehow *still* gained infamy. So rude.

The new Gray Fox. The cowl suits you. Me? I am much happier without it
You don’t need to wait a day when tar-meena says she’ll see what she can find. You can just go to imperial gardens at noon and activate the map. Tar-meena is only there for if you can’t figure out the admittedly conveluted secret passage in the books.
i like how you get 500 bounty by being the gray fox, meaning if you kill one (1) guy you gain a higher bounty than the most wanted criminal in the country
Plus - All you have to do is run away and you can just take the cowl off once guards come close to you... it's like nothing ever happened.
Grey Fox's hands are rated E for everyone.

Pure nostalgia. I remember the first time i played the MQ in Oblivion. The fight before the Bruma gate i was wearing the knights of the nine gear, accidentally last hit an ally, couldnt use the gear, proceded to do the gate completely naked. Never had so much fun in a MQ before or after that😂

And the only one I felt bad for was the poor horse. Love that KOing essential NCPs acts as a reset button. Perfect IT-based logic!
(BTW, you don't need to wait 'til the next day for the shine map, just read all 4 books and go there direct once you've talked to her the first time. Shaves a little time off the run. :) )
Reseting essential NPCs worked numerous times for me as a bug-fixer!
I always figured you can just skip waiting for her and find the map yourself, but having those quest logs from her just helps with my OCD! But yeah, it would save time and enegy dealing with those guards...
You know technically the hero of kvatch is the grey fox, the arena grand champion, the listener, the archmage, whatever they call the fighters guild leader, another unnamed champion of cyrodil, pelinal whitestrake, and a demon lord

Not sure if you know this but you can get 3 cidual stones from the 1st oblivion gate and there are a few you can get 2 if you press the button fast enough

I've actually wanted to do a 100% playthrough of Oblivion with zero kills, the easiest way to make it possible is getting this staff called the sanguine rose staff from a daedric statue, and it summons monsters, but there kills don't count as your kills, compared to the normal summoning spells.

Oml I had no clue what I was doing and somehow ended up fighting those daedra at lvl 1...
I had the midas spell mod back in the day with the mushroom cloud and attacked leyawiin.. my highest bounty ever in oblivion was like 25K, as i killed every non-essential NPC and guard that came at me (i had godmode and i was doing it to see how high i could get before it crashed. it was like 25,356 gold)
