KTM 250 Adventure vs BMW G 310 GS - which one gives a more premium experience?
KTM 250 Adventure mileage test scores are high in the city as well as on the highway.
Himalayan vs 310 GS off road compared
KTM has tried to offer a sensible and affordable adventure touring package with the 250 Adventure. By combining the engine from the 250 Duke to the foundations of the 390 Adventure, KTM’s 250 ADV comes in at Rs 2.48 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), which is roughly Rs 50,000 cheaper than the 390 ADV. But when it comes to sensibility, BMW Motorrad India too has become wise and slashed the asking price of the G 310 GS. In its BS6 avatar, it is Rs 64,000 cheaper than before, now priced at Rs 2.85 lakh. And it packs more features, retains the premium BMW quotient and some attractive paint schemes. However, it would have been a big miss if we didn’t bring along the OG: the Royal Enfield Himalayan. For long, it has been the go-to adventure touring motorcycle in the entry-level space, brushing off new contenders without much stress. So, can the new premium arrivals ruffle up the Himalayan’s feathers? Or is the king still going to reign supreme?

Previously I owned a r15 s and after its purchase got introduced to touring and its a great bike in every aspect, even the riding position was nothing to complain for the most part (my perspective)... BUT that suspension... OMG! it's so hard and it's the character of that bike.
.... And now got BMW g310gs and just completed a 1300km ride and I enjoyed every bit... Especially on the bad roads... Beautiful suspension yet with stability
The 250 adventure makes 0 sense. On a budget go for the Himalayan else you have the gs and the 390 adventure.

In the long run, I say BMW is the most effective one. Being a RE owner, it’s one hell of a job to keep the bike going smooth all the time. Every month it’ll have one or the other issue. BMW for the ones who care about peace of mind, himalayan for the ones who love to take tension and risk, ktm 250 is for the one who has no brain.

Content is really good and has useful information.
Video quality is really good as well as music choice. The audio or voice recording is good but it could improve. Microphone abounds muffled sometimes. No biggie.
The chemistry you guys have is awesome. It feels like you are hanging out with friends taking about vehicles. You guys have a future in tv together.

You only missed one important thing which would be nice to know even via private message but you should maybe add it to your comparisons as well as nobody does it: add the basic SERVICE INTERVAL in kilometers. Not sure about the other 2 but the Himalayan definitely has a lot of credentials around most gruelling terrains around the world. Globally certified to do the job with little fuss.

1) This video covers offroading, or as Mr Singhi says in another video, rough roading, for 99% of the populationI In that sense, the BMW does provide a more premium riding experience. Also, the updated colors and reduced price have made it even better.
2) Surprising to see that the problems in the earlier Himalayans have been overcome and its as smooth (if not more) at 100 kmph!
I would rather save the 80K premium, and spend ~50K on world class touring accessories for the Himalayan, and the remaining on petrol to tour India.
3) Also, if the future holds a Himalayan on the 650 cc parallel twin platform, it would decimate them all!

Xpulse 200 would be perfect choice, its rugged, reliable & very cheap to maintain plus we'll get hero service center in every corner of country.
Himalayan is good but it needs to loose weight, 199kg with just 24ps/32nm.
Nonetheless Xpulse is a good motorcycle but cruising speed is quite low. Hope next gen Himalayan will stand out of the crowd. Finger-crossed!

Maintenance cost of BMW GS is also very high, as good as maintenance of a premium car... around 8000 to 9000 pet service (Aug 2021)

Himalayan is the best bro ❤️no confusions u get a best value for money vehicle with best comfort and performance .far best than dominar in all ways including mileage .king of offroading.service n reliability is far ahead of bajaj.even short riders can ride it and handling is very good a bit heavy that's all.take a test drive u will know y many people loves himalayan.

One more thing to add please change your current home near by re showroom... Because we can't predict which time your bike would have problem s, starting issue reported many pre owners . Re service is bull shit... This re him is best no doubt but expect thire service.

@@kanwarpreetsingh8481 hi, got my annual service done at 10k kms. Cost was 7.5k. Mind you it has a service interval at 10kms or 1 year compared to others which have interval at 6k or 7.5K
