    Very genuine and precise review! Loved it. I had been researching for my first bike for around 2 months while shortlisting the GS310, Classic 350 and Hunter 350 (all different categories I know) but finalised the Hunter as I thought it would fit as a beginner friendly bike, which is great to maneuver in our not-so-busy Tricity roads and pretty comfortable on well-built highways. But still keen to keep looking at what owners have to say about their bikes 😄👍🏻

      If your city has Honda BigWing showroom, then go for cb350...that's way better than Hunter. Hunter is good for city rides but the comfort for long trips is missing in it. After sales of Honda is much better. Less bikes on roads means the service centre is not overwhelmed. They take proper care of bike and most of the technicians in BigWing are usually trained at their factory

      Thanks for admiring the vlog dear. It truly means a lot. One bro has also replied you with a good choice as I totally agree with him. Honda Highness CB 350 is a very capable bike and you would love Riding it. The drive is buttery smooth and extremely light Clutch. Give it a try as they have come up with a retro classic sort of modification recently. And Chandigarh has a Big Wing Showroom so there shouldn't be any issue. Wishing you all the best. 😊,

    Does the battery issue still exists should we replace the battery? also having a black wind shield does that effect when u have go pro fitted on yr helmet?

    • @Ashim.M
      @Ashim.M  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, I haven’t faced any battery issue since my purchase in Jun’23.
      The black windshield is not jet black, it’s tinted black and hence it’s see through during the day.
      However, if one is particular for GoPro usage, then transparent windshield can also be considered

    I see some extra fittings in ur bike, like:
    1) Rear Boot
    2) Side Saddle stay
    3) Crash Guard
    4) 02 Aux. Lights
    5) Mobile Holder
    ...are these from BMW or after market purchase and fittings. If aftermarket, then is it safe to fiddle with the wiring and body fittings?

    • @Ashim.M
      @Ashim.M  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      All accessories are after market.
      I have very carefully chosen them and majority of the installations have been done by myself. The only reason why I did myself was so that there is no wire cutting in my bike.
      I have done connection for the aux lights straight from the battery terminal and same for mobile holder.
      I request you to go with the complete video once again so that you can have clear idea for aux lights installation as well as for the touring setup which I did on my own.
      And trust me, there have been no issues at all so far.
      The crash guards are from Zana and they are majorly supplying accessories (Crash guards, Saddle stays etc) for most of the brands available in India.
      Hope this helps 😊

    Is it possible to tweak with the suspension ? Like lowering it

    • @Ashim.M
      @Ashim.M  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Rear suspension pre-load has 10 stages to adjust according to load. For eg. If single person is riding and there is no luggage, it can be set to default serving which is on a softer side. Vice versa if you have 2 people and luggage so the spring setting can be set on the harder side so that rear suspension can act according to that load.
      But lowering the suspension is not possible I guess which can be electronically done in the higher value BMW bikes like F 850 GS and F 900 XR etc. Hope it helps.

    One for city commuting and long touring
    Less of an off roader
    Gs 310

      I can surely suggest you 310 GS as you would love the suspension setup for long touring. Even, for city commuting, you will enjoy the ride.
      Only downside is the maintenance part which might seem a little expensive to you over period of time seeing the segment it belongs to.

      Brother,
      I suggest you can go with new Himalayan as it is a very capable bike. Following are the below mentioned reasons you should consider this bike.
      1. Bigger engine with more power and torque.
      2. Switchable ABS and different ride modes
      3. Big instrument cluster with Plenty of information available at flick of a button.
      4. Bigger fuel tank to give you long range before you need refueling again.
      5. Pan India RE service network and support.
      6. Very reasonable service cost and Road Side Assistsnce as compared to BMW.
      Do take a long test drive before you finalize. It will help you to take right decision.

      Honda CB350 is also a very capable bike only down side is less service centres(service network) and very low market share. The sale volume of Honda CB350 is extremely low as compared to RE Classic Reborn.
      You can refer to Website Rushlane to see the sales figures comparison of 350 cc bikes segment and you will get the answer who is the winner.

      Comfort is amazing, braking is also good. There is enough bite at the front and the rear Brake also responds well. The Brake pads are from Brembo and I get enough confidence on high speeds when ever I go on a long ride.
      Moreover, the normal servicing costs around 7 to 8k and a major service around 11-12k.
      So if you are comfortable with this amount you can consider as the maintenence is only once a year or 10k kms whichever comes first.

      Hello Dear,
      With lot of new bikes entering in this segment, the decision becomes difficult.
      Every bike has its own Pros & Cons.
      The question is what you like the most in a bike.
      I suggest you to take a little long test drive of all your shortlisted bikes so that you can get clear idea which one suits you the best.
      Every parameter has its own weightage for eg. Brand Value, Style, Comfort, Stability, Performance, Safety and Service (After Sales).
      Out of all the options listed by you, I suggest you Mavrick as it offers superb ride comfort. You can cruise 80-100 km/hr all day long.
      Hero's sales and service network is unparalleled.
      So you should not find any difficulty in aftersales.
      Give all of them a decent try and then finalize.

      @@Ashim.M Is it good as a 1st tourer bike, How's the comfort for rider and pillion, How's the service cost and the availability of spare parts?

    • @Ashim.M
      @Ashim.M  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I will share my honest opinion, as a 1st tourer, it is a capable bike and should keep you happy. The engine performance is great, you can cruise all day long at decent speeds.
      The comfort is decent enough and there is enough space for the pillion too.
      A little downside what I felt was hard suspension setup, may be I felt so because I am used to extraordinary suspension setup of my BMW 310 GS.
      But at the price point V Strom is offered, it’s decent enough.
      The bike is very nimble to handle.
      The service cost is very affordable, and I must say the reliability is great being Japanese brand.
      Your query regarding spare availability is a factor which can sometimes be an issue because of limited numbers this bike does. Usually dealers only have fast moving spares in stock, so incase if something unusual occurs, the wait time could be a little more for parts to arrive.
      If possible, try to take a decent test drive and try to feel the sitting posture, comfort, acceleration, braking etc. And follow your inner voice. You Will definitely get a clearer picture.

    Sir is it worth to buy this bike in 2024 or should i go for Aprilia RS 457.

    • @Ashim.M
      @Ashim.M  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Dear, there could be a lot to discuss as both bikes are not comparable.
      Aprilia RS 457 is a sports bike and the Riding stance would be totally different.
      Having said that, it totally depends upon your taste and likings for this sort of riding stance. That's point no. 1.
      As far as specs are concerned Aprilia RS 457 offers great specs in terms of power and torque which is also not comparable to the GS 310.
      At the price point of 4.10 ex-showroom you get a powerful 457 cc twin cylinder engine which is phenomenal. The figures are quite impressive and the bike is loaded with Features in terms of 3 Riding modes, 5" TFT colour instrument cluster, switchable ABS for the rear etc.
      BMW 310 GS lacks all of these, but still I enjoy the riding stance and the comfortable suspension which is incomparable.
      As far as your question for considering a GS 310 in 2024 would totally depend upon your taste as every bike has its own Pros & Cons. I, guess this bike will soon upgrade with higher specs and features if it wants to remain in the competition.
      The downside for the Aprilia RS 457 currently could be the service/maintenance as that only time can tell. Moreover, you need to check, the ride quality on bad roads, the engine's performance in the city, and heat management.
      Hope it helps..

      That’s true for all the CBU units like the 900’s and above as parts (Components) come from abroad and fetch higher taxation due to Indian Govt.

      For a 310 cc bike service cost is on higher side.

The main challenge comes during off-roading as the surface is uneven and there could be a chance that your feet don't touch the ground properly. There is an optional low height seat available at the BMW dealerships, so you can give it a try. Test drive the bike and experience it before hand to be sure that you are able to handle it or not. However, as of now there is no confirmed news. If the new model or upgraded version is introduced, the pricing will definitely go higher. At the moment this bike has few offers going on due to which I doubt that a new model may be introduced.

    It's a TVS bike except that just BMW logo is on it😂 so we can't expect much.

      Globally G310 GS is not being assembled by TVS india, it's that BMW India chose TVS India to get their entry level bikes assembled in India.
      The quality control, parts, etc are governed by BMW Motorrad and TVS does the assembly part.
      Even, I have noticed that few parts carry TVS badging on this bike which is a testimony that TVS can build parts upto BMW standards.
      India is setting examples for the world that we can also manufacture global brands.
      Lexus Cars are another example, and so many more.
      Thanks for watching bro 😍

      They feel a bit hard in city traffic initially, but I have got used to the shifts now. However, gear shift is precise. When I drive my Classic Reborn, I find a drastic difference between the two as classic's gear shift is buttery smooth.
      Hope it helps.
