I have been interested in Real Estate Investing for a couple of years now. I paid well over $30k for a Real Estate Investing training in the beginning of this year. Everything happened exactly like it was described in this video. The sad part is that I learned about BiggerPockets after all this happened. I wished I did some research before I enrolled. This has created an opportunity to learn from our mistakes, and to raise awareness for those who want to jump into the Real Estate Investing world. Our business is still moving forward because no matter how little or how much we pay for a training, it is still about us to take action!

This is so right. I am a smart woman and got hooked in this spam. I have always been interested in real estate. I spent over 40K to learn how to give them my money. The booth camp was the same. It did not teach me any information on how to buy, remodel, and sale properties. I received some DVDs on with more sales pitches. I was paying for a private coach but received a group walk thru of a house describing how it could be made over for profit. SO, TO ALL DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!

I went to a 1 day free seminar, then a 3 day workshop I paid $695, then they offered elite classes ranging from $14K and up to $40K , I didn't sign up but, I did buy one individual class for $1500, haven't started it yet, as I finished the 3 day workshop earlier today. Decided what's unethical and what you could use in your own business that could be used ethically. So don't just see it as a Real Estate seminar, see it also as a crash course in sales with some very talented salesmen.

Not Taking Action is the #1 reason people fail at investing! I've been to several of these Guru pitches and they are all somewhat like what Brandon explained. so rather than buying on emotion I researched which one would work best for me before I purchased and training. Now that I have some small success I still go to them and look around. I see the gullible people that Brandon is talking about but their biggest problem isn't that. The biggest problem is that they think it's a get rich quick and do know work program, which it is certainly not. This is why 95% of the people in the room will fail. The pitch is hyped but they do provide all the resources and support you need if you are willing to put in the work. And definitely do your homework and make your own decision. Don't believe every Guru program but also don't believe all the Naysayers!

this past weekend i went to a grant cardone Free seminar. I told myself that i would not buy anything they are selling and I am simply going to observe and learn. However as i found myself passing on the real estate program esp (mainly because they claimed to offer you money for your first real estate deal) i found myself truly getting sold on the marketing program. Outside of all the bs and rara stuff that was getting everyone else, what really got my intrigue was when they started talking about 3rd party selling on amazon and if we went through the course the would set us up on getting started. I saw that as a way to help me get my foot in the door of something i am interested in. SO reluctantly i signed up for the 1200 course (the real estate course came with it) mainly for that shot of learning to market, sell and start 3rd party selling. Not gonna lie i feel every anxious about my decision and i cant truely explain why expect for the fact that i dont really like Grant and plus i feel like i allowed myself to get sold. The money isnt the issue i can pay for it easily and i can simply take off work cuz of my vacation time. Ig I'm just truely hoping that all of this is worth it

What did you wind up doing? My mom and I just went to a Grant Cardone seminar 2 weeks ago with the same offer ($1200 for both real estate and Amazon) but we just went with the real estate one because we had gone to the Amazon one a year and a half ago, hosted by this somewhat shady dude named Tim something (also a millionaire, older, has like 10 kids). Mom paid for the 1st course but we backed out after reading bad reviews specifically after they said they wanted $30,000. But when we went to the Grant Cardone seminar 2 weeks ago, guess who we saw marketing for the same Amazon program? That Tim guy. So I guess he’s best buds with Cardone & Cardone is endorsing him. The real estate one seemed a lot more legit, the guy hosting it seems really genuine and I’m saying that as a person who doesn’t trust people easily. So we’ve begun payment for the lowest tier course which is about $16,000. We’ve paid $5000 down and I was told to apply for credit cards to pay the rest which we almost have but my mom just read an article about some other real estate program with the same exact structure but different name that’s being sued & complained about for duping people so now we’re having 2nd thoughts. They also promised they would provide funding for our deals but the lady we were talking to had a supposed emergency and hasn’t gotten back to us since last week so idk. I mean, we at least have the online education resource but in the week that I was waiting to get access to that I just went on TH-cam & found so much valuable info for free so now I’m starting to feel like the course isn’t worth it for the knowledge but only the funding, but I’m not sure how their funding works because they haven’t gotten back to us yet. *sigh* Right now my mom just wants to give slow payments instead of everything at once so that I don’t have to max out my cards & especially with that article she just read, so that we don’t pay money & then get BS-ed. Sorry for the long post, I’m just getting my thoughts out and hoping someone else who may have gone through something similar may have something to say.

    1. The courses and advise is the opportunity given to everyone, it’s not fair to say these people they would not succeed through these programmes.
    2. It’s not for you to decide if it’s worth it, and the free stuff on the internet is so basic and hypothetical that it’s of little relevance.
    3. Your marketing yourself by telling people to share and save others from an opportunity they may actually excel in.
    4. I’m a product of one of these courses and I’m so glad I never came across you before I went as being sceptical as I am I would have walked away!

there is only two reason why you should pay a lot of money for real estate education.
reason one it is a fomal degree, such as the master in real estate form new York, it is a real degree to get real jobs.
second reason you are rich. and are willing to pay either for a degree or to work with pros, like pay to meet lawyers and cps and contracters, to go over every thing. other wise it is just a waste of money
since people are going to start small, with a house or doplex, I could see a 100 in books, or maybe a class in design one in construction. but main it buy low, fix sell high. and you should not have to pay a lot to learn that. a little is ok, but not a lot. the only way I would pay 30 k to lean this is if I was a millionaire, and I hired someone to work with me on ever step, for a huge project.

I think it's just with anything you learn in life. I can learn to workout and get in shape for free by just doing my research and watching videos, reading books, etc instead of paying for a personal trainer.
Just like how you can pay a personal trainer to reach your goals, people can get results with a guru program but point is you can do it without paying someone a lot of money.

Well, this guy is on point, in fact the majority of people never make money with these programs, but that is the same as to say, if you notice in every field in life, take for instance a person who's majored in Business Administration, probably 80 per cent of these people never amount to more than a job, just like doctors, most attornyes do not have their own practice, in fact 60 per cent of attorneys do not practice in any field relating to law, ME BEING ONE OF THEM, that is like saying that a drug addict would have made conssessions to not be a drug addict in spite of attending rehab. But this guy on this video, who seems to be a great sales' person, seems to be feeding off what people who never find success in a coaching program say on line, that coaches never help you, that is a great strategy because he seems to be aligning with you, and after writing a book....BAM!!!....he is going to sell you his program...in his steps he forgot to mention THE BOOK before the free seminar. Every program has a book, then the free seminar and so on....he seems to be doing the same....a coach is not a wizard, a coach is not a guardian angel, he is there to hold you accountable, to make you ambarressed when you procrastinate, to tell you when you deviate from your goal, not to make you rich, would Tiger Woods be Tiger Woods if he would have said "I am not going to pay 50 million dolars
to Sean Foley" his swing coach,"because coahes are just full of it, I can be the greatest golf player of all times without a coach" ....but one thing you must keep in mind, wealth comes inevitably if you have discipline, courage, and there are 5 elements to wealth..social, mental, physical, spiritual and inevitably financial wealth. And I do not know the name of this young unknown man, but Warren Buffett, you know the 2nd or 3rd richest man alive, has said many times, if you want to expedite your success find a mentor, and if you asked him, Warren, he would tell you to take your money do not invest it in college and find a reputable mentor and you have a 50 per cent more likely-hood to be very successful. Now if you are sceptical of that quote, yes, he said it in a speach he gave at UCLA, find it and you will see, I might be paraphrasing but he said it, if you know him, asked him yourself...you nenver know.

Stephen, if we all had the money to invest, then we would all do it, no? However, these gurus don't tell you where to get the money. That lampshade in the background is driving me insane!! Not only is it on crooked but the pattern isn't straight either.

No. Don't pay it. All the basic information is available online for free. It is getting the money that is the biggest challenge. Can't get it? Too bad. You're out of business.

Is Phil Pustejovsky with Freedom Menotor legitimate? I see lots of good reviews on him and not a whole lot of bad.

I know they're bs, but plenty of people go for the free box lunches & free gifts like $15 apple watch ripoffs. I'm guilty of this but the presentation leaves out a lot of common sense info, so I'm always surprised when I see people sign up

Only difference between these so-called gurus and megachurches is there's no gospel music. But they still want to fleece your pockets in the end. It's horrible.

They're almost impossible to find. No one is doing it for free, and few will wait for their money. See a licensed realtor who has experience. He is paid through the sale. Gurus are often frauds.

Fucking shit I just went to my first day of rich dads “ on “ investment course this whole fucking day was a woman using her life story as a sells pitch. I knew something smelt like a fishes ass.

Complete bullshit. The guru cannot even be bothered to show up to his own seminar. Instead you get his "associate." That alone is a sign to leave.

Just wonderful, been searching for "top real estate programs" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Yiyrianna Tonwen Theorem - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Ive heard some decent things about it and my colleague got great success with it.
