Baja boss at has been the best I’ve ever owned. 7000 pound Denali and tow often. Took them off with 5/32 left out 18/32 and had 104k miles on them. Was great through rain, dry, mud, snow. Very impressed with them. Cooper stronghold at, kumho at, master craft at, Toyo at3s and a2s really can’t compete with the Baja boss at from my experience. The cooper stronghold is also loud and has a late response, doesn’t handle as well either. Pretty surprised at that.
I just bought these 4 days ago. I went up from 275/65/20 Duratrac's to these in a 285/65/20. Mileage went down 3 mpg. I will be getting another custom tune to correct the shift points. I drove in rain yesterday and today and the performed really good. I have a 2011 Ram with long tube headers, cat delete, custom tune, stall converter (3400 rpm) and a big custom grind cam. Even with all that extra power these tires stick to the ground when taking off in the rain. I had them balanced only once at Discount tire and there balanced at 85 mph. Ill give an update when we get snow here in N.E. Wisconsin
I put them on my 22’ 4Runner, 285/70/17 and they are great for daily driving, run them at 35psi. Only 2k miles on them so far and I’m looking forward to some snow soon.
Odd that the Falken AT4W were barely mentioned in the video when according to their own tests, they were better in almost every category except snow and ice.
Which is better in winter conditions: MT Baja boss A/T or Goodyear duratrac R/T? Is the noise level around the same? I had good luck with the duratrac a/t’s in the past 120,000km on both sets.
I’m on a JLU Sport S on a Teraflex lift. Those Teraflex springs are stiff AF and combined with my E rated Ridge Grapplers, make the ride quite jarring. I see the Mickey Thompsons come in a D load rating. How do they ride? Is it worth my time (and money!) or should I stick with C load rating on my next set of tires?
@ oh I know it’s more than enough for the weight of the jeep. But they don’t have a Baja Boss AT in a 35 in C load rating so I worry about D being too stiff.
Just worried about the balancing and longevity of these. Ive been running general atx ,there good but need a better tire for wet roads ,snowy roads and dont really want the falken at3 or at4 because they dont look aggressive at all in my opinion.
Mine develop flat spots after sitting over night causing bad vibration until they warm up after driving for a while. Really disappointed. Should of known better with american brand junk. Wish I would of got the falken at4.

We rated this tire, the best in it’s category
First winter with these tires in Canada and they're handling the cold, ice and snow quite well!
Yup they are simply awesome in snow ⛄️

They compared it with previous version at3w
I bought them last month. Great tire and was on sale. So quiet and lighter than Wildpeaks since I retired them.
Yea they are really awesome.

Baja boss at is not as loud as duratrac
Much difference on the winter performance? And the longevity?

I think C is more than enough

Nitto Terra Grappler G3 vs Baja Boss?🤔

Well to tell you the truth Grabber ATX do last longer, but considering performance Baja Boss is better especially when it comes to snow performance
1/10 to 2/10th of a second difference in Dry Handling isn’t enough of a margin to sell it
Yes but its averaged looking at multiple sizes
Baja boss does noticeably better with p metric sizes

If u r just driving on the road idk why people r even getting a these type tires to begin with . Just get the boring Firestone and get better mpg
@ What kind of un smart thinking is that? Everyone that has AT tires drive on roads. This is not a mud tire. Good lord what a brain u have.
Must be a manufacturing fault
@ Ya. I talked to a guy at mickey thompson about it and all he said was” Thats weird”
75 lbs 😅
👍
