I've been switching back and forth lately, it depends on the mood I'm in, silly I know. I have the white label Tosicam Moliada wireless, the Rode VideoMic GO II, MOVO VXR10, MOVO VXR10 PRO ( haven't unboxed the VXR10 PRO yet), and a few more that I forget the names of. Lol!!
No I fully understand! I love my little VideoMic, I've always wanted to compare it to it's other siblings like the Movo, Diety, etc. but you're right, there are a lot of them. Really depends on the mood :)
@@Novice-Media I'm still trying to find a shotgun mic that sounds good and is short enough that the lens on my Ace Pro won't show it. The only thing that solves that issue for me so far is using the Malaida wireless system. (Subbed!)
Thanks for subscribing! If you've got a cage on your Ace Pro, or if the microphone is mounted to a tripod/selfie stick, look into a shoe-mount space (I believe Ulanzi sells them) and that could always offset the mic to keep it out of frame too.
Wireless does sound more convenient if you're moving around, but what is your recommendation on getting a Wireless mic that records audio separately as well as to the transmitter, like the dji mic 2?... do you think that is a good backup to have incase of interference ... I don't know if I should get the dji mic 2 because of that and the screen on the transmitter, or get the holyland due to its small form factor??
Solid question! The CM28 (as shown in the video) can record internally, but should be addressed as clearly a budget microphone. The DJI Mic 2 would fit the bill for what you're looking for as it can hold 14 hours of recording and it's 32-bit which is amazing if your audio were to peak. Alternatively, for a little bit less, is the Hollyland Lark Max which is a good comparable but for $100 less! A third option would be the Rode Wireless Go (1 or 2) but the transmitters are quite bulky and personally deter me from purchasing either just for the aesthetics alone.
@@Novice-Media Yes, the RODE VideoMid GO II is bulky and the lens on my Ace Pro pics it up when I'm vlogging. But my voice sounds better using that mic than any other I've tried, and I've compared quite a few.
Rode makes a great mic (I love both of my shotgun Rode mics!) but they're definitely large/cumbersome on smaller cameras. Maybe look into that spacer I mentioned on your other comment? It could help! Or go wireless haha

@@Novice-Media Hmmm, shoe mount space huh? Never heard of one before now.
Yes! Here's the one I've used in the past (and since unfortunately sold...) - a.co/d/2fcfjKo This isn't an affiliate link, as I'd have to disclose it.
I like to plug the Rode Video Micro into the wireless transmitter. Voila, a wireless shotgun mic for recording!
You sir... are a GENIUS. How did I never think of this?!
