Hi Zach, thank you very much for sharing your unbiased thoughts! We definitely love to further collabs with you, if you're still interested in others or the future upgraded version in our wireless lav mic lineup as you have thought of. It's also good to get your suggestion for the trade-off between the noise-cancellation feature and the upgraded bit rate or the better battery life. We will dig into the internal recording as well since not just from your review, we also noticed from the comment under other wireless lav mic reviews that there're quite a lot of users are in need of such a feature, especially for those models that don't have the longest range and the most stable transmission. Anyway, it's good to have you checking out our M9, appreciate the hard work!

I got a free set of these from tiktok shop affiliate. Was super excited. But no matter what i do when it comes to settings it sounds terrible... but yet alot of reviews im watching seems like their mic sounds much better than mine. Very weird.

The stuff I’ve seen has been hit or miss. I got a “decent” set, but some have reported awful audio and some report “usable” audio. Seems to be lacking QC.

If compared with neewer cm28,,, which one would be the best coiche... Please

Based strictly on features, I'm leaning towards the CM28 by default. Internal recording, lavalier input, and magnetic mounting. Sound wise, I haven't tested the two side-by-side, but I'd believe they'll sound similar.

Interesting mic. It's likely better to get the Godox Magic albeit at a higher price. The one recommendation I can give you is that these mics are meant to be clipped to your clothes and positioned in the chest area. There's a chance that it would sound much better if positioned correctly. I know there's a trend where tiktokers hold these mics in their hands but that makes all of these mics underperform.

I’d probably agree with going for the Godox XT1. My looming concern with this M9 is the fact there’s no magnet, so you’re clipping it to your collar (may have better luck with a button up), which is now picking up the rumble from your throat region, which I’d think is arguably worse than hand wielding it. I’ll do another test (short form) with it clipped to try again, but I just don’t believe these are the best mics…

It is strange that each reviewer of this product ends up with a different sound. Some sound great, some sound mid, and like yours sound awful. I did notice the ones that sound slightly better aren't talking directly into the mic, it is clipped to their shirt under their chin as intended.
Edit: I personally use the Hollyland Lark M2 or the Godex Cube S but have the FiFine on the way for testing.

I’d read on another channel he thought he was sent a defective set. I think the quality control on these wireless mics from FIFINE are just subpar. Definitely hard to use this mic too when others, for similar costs, include magnetic mounts whereas this one only offers a clip-doesn’t work great with a t shirt.

@@Novice-Media I definitely prefer the magnetic clip, they certainly missed a great opportunity with that one.

@@Novice-Media Not sure if you will see this or not, but I received my review unit. And like yours, the audio quality was awful no matter how I set the volume or where I positioned the mic. I reached out to my contact at FiFine and they informed me to use USB-C from the phone to USB-C into the receiver (if you are using a phone) and after a couple tests that drastically improved the audio quality for me. When using it with a professional camera I'm not sure what would improve the quality.

@@RealRSmokinJoe a bit disappointing to hear a microphone intended for multiple uses should work best for phones via USB-C. Maybe it needs to be pitched as a smartphone microphone that has compatibility with cameras? Glad to hear you’re having better luck than me, maybe I’ll revisit this mic at some point.

Since the M9 is a bit more on the highs for the clarity, even with the wind muffler on, it's a bit hard to eliminate the higher frequencies blowing into the highs-sensitive capsule. That's why it doesn't sound good to you when it's used directly in front of mouths, and it's also true to some users. Thus it's better to keep the M9 clipped on the shirt or even set the volume level at the middle level.
