    God Bless You!!!! I had a chlorine pool for 16 years and never ever had this problem. We purchased a new salt pool completely new system about a month ago and had it installed. Trying to get it up, before next summer and having a deck built. We’ve dealt with cloudy water after filling the 1st time. My husband farms and had a 1000 gallon portable tank, he cleaned it, and he transported 3000 gallons from the deep well, when we were told by a family member maybe we should use city water because well water isn’t treated. We immediately called the pool company asked about the well water, they said it may have iron or metals in it but they had someone who could guide us if any issues. So, we stopped with well water and finished 11,000 gallons off with city water. Over $ 400 later in chemicals we still had cloudy water. I told my husband it had to be Algae because I saw the yellow fluffy looking stuff in places that weren’t crystal clear, until turning the filter on for the first time. Once the filter was on, the cloudiness set in. Thank you so much for your video. It was algae. Flocculant is taking care! Cannot wait to get it finished. Appreciate this more than you know, it’s saved our wallet and sanity! I should’ve known never to have turned the filter on until I vacuumed. Expensive lesson learned thank you again!!!

    Love it. Will be doing my laminate countertops tomorrow. Love the bold lines... others have been less bold. Very dramatic.

    Looks nice my only suggestion would be to have caulked the gaps between the countertop and the backsplash before coating

      Yes, you’re right. I did it after but should have before.

    Nice work, Selene. Looks beautiful. When you did the backsplash, did you spray more lightly so as to prevent the water from running or does the bottle spray a fine mist? Thank you!

      Thank you! Great question. Yes, you do have to be a bit more careful on the backsplash. I did have some drips after spraying but just carefully cleaned them up with a sponge or paper towel.

    You did a wonderful job! The only question I have is about the holes where the faucet was when you applied the epoxy. Did it run down into the holes and did you have to do something to make sure you could put your faucet back again?

      Great question! You couldn’t see in the video, but I did tape the holes underneath to allow the epoxy to run into the holes slightly.

      Under the title it says"more" for more information. Click on "more". Then click on the links for supplies and tools she used. Anytime you watch a video there are more options under the title of the video.

      Thank you! And yes, I agree the music is terrible! I don’t put music on my videos anymore because it’s hard to find good music that is free to use!

    Can you replace the epoxy with something else?

    • @selenebuildsthings
      @selenebuildsthings  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure what else you would be able to use to seal it so it’s durable.

      I agree. Commercial use music isn’t great. Next time I’m going to go without music.

    That epoxy is gonna chip off that granite. It won’t stick to it. It will seem like it sticks but isn’t. Also the clear epoxy will yellow over next 6 months

      I did this over a year ago in my other bathroom and it’s held up perfectly. No chipping, no yellowing.
