I'm brand new to this channel, I subscribed yesterday. I am enjoying the golf course taking shape. In my years of playing one of the most important people besides the owners is the head greenskeeper/course superintendent. I suggest (if you don't already have someone) you get someone who is highly trained. They need to be part of this process as their perspective will be invaluable to the success of the course changes.
Finally... get to see some work. This is a couple weeks old.. so by now the grading should be complete on the tees, and irrigation installed....and ready for top soil.
This is such a cool process to watch. I'm excited for you guys! Hopefully one day it'll be a destination course to come play after seeing the full process.

This is why I subscribed. Very interesting. It seems like their is a LOT of room to easily lengthen the layout. (Up here a lot of courses suffer from 'MIdget Design Syndrome' jamming 18 holes in a small space. Why bother.+) The copious room tells me that your course was originally designed to be the length you are taking it to but maybe they ran out of money and wanted less golf course to maintain. I would love to hear about the problems encountered and how you resolved them. Would also like to hear about the compromises worked out between what was originally wanted versus what actually happened. Great content.
Course design looks great and excited to see it take shape. Do you have any plans to plant new trees to make up for those that have had to come down? You have the means to build in areas to support nature and the environment. Golf must surely play its part in the drive for biodiversity and sustainability.
Yep, would love to see this factored in... I mean I love golf but this kinda opens your eyes to what's involved in making a course... This is a cool opportunity to figure ways to make golf positive for nature, before it gets harder and harder to justify to folks looking from outside..!
Cant' remember where I played but one of the coolest things I've seen on a tee box is a putting area just off to the side of the tee boxes ... seems weird but it was really cool especially when you had to wait on a group, you could just chip and putt right there while you waited ....
Love that you're bringing some PGA length to the area. Tbh it always seemed like you guys had driveable par 4s, or flip wedges into most 4s and mid irons into most 5s on your local matches. Cant wait to see the finished product
I absolutely can’t wait to see what y’all do with Indian River golf club. Last time I play there I ended up leaving. Please say this is a public course too. I can’t wait to play it. Live right around that area.
