Es una escayola a la que le llaman Exaduro, es algo más resistente. @carlosborras tiene un curso sobre ese material

We used a type of Plaster called "Exaduro"

Tengo Dragonskin 10 Medium para la piel del títere stop motion, pero no tengo una cámara de vacío (aunque dice que es necesario). Acabo de ver este vídeo tuyo, ¡pero no parece que estuvieras usando la cámara de vacío para este vídeo, en absoluto! Mi pregunta es: ¿puedo seguir usando esta silicona sin cámara de vacío?
Si, puedes usar la silicona sin cámara de vacio, pero quizás salgan burbujas en algunas partes de la mano. Nosotros tubimos que tirar algunas que no salieron bien. Si agitas mucho la silicona se crean burbujas (como al montar claras de huevo) tienes que tener cuidado de mezclar la silicona sin introducir aire.
Otro truco es volcar la silicona desde una altura media, para romper las burbujas en el proceso de volcado (Si te fijas lo hago en el video)
Otra cosa que va muy bien es hacer una primera capa de silicona más fina para asegurarte que la capa exterior no tiene burbujas.
Muchos de estos problemas se solucionan con la cámara de vacio, pero puedes hacerlas sin ella.

Hi! It is general Glue. That is just a brand we have in Spain, but you can use others
To all animators do not spin your wire together it will make it weaker and will break faster! Take your wires and bind them together like a bundle with thread and tie or glue the ends together!
Hi Noah! That is another way to do it, but It doesn't mean it is better. I've seen the animators from big companies like Aardman spinning the wires too.
I think it is a personal preference. I personally prefer this method. The thread one seems week to me, and materials don't stick very well to the straight wire.
I think Edu Puertas has a video where he stressed testing a bunch of the methods by bending a joint until failure. Lightly twisted wire lasted the longest but if the wire was over wound it became weaker. (Found it!) th-cam.com/video/sBssoXK5vF8/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
@@thebrownhat1 Yes, that is a great video about it. There you can see how both systems work. I understand your concerns about twisting the wire, but both systems can be used. I personally like twisting them, but you can choose your favourite one. 😊
