    This grb spec c is more like family car, than track weapon, because it has no engine oil, gearbox oil and steering cooling system as it was on gd spec c. It also has longer steering rack, bad not supportive seats, soft suspension and no roof vent. It has eco features like intake flaps and recirculation system. Track car? 😢 It is no more special competition as it was before.

      Most definitely a underrated car. Not many people have even heard of the Spec C. The hatch looks bulky in the flesh!

    The spec c was a homologation car for Group N rally and some sort of Japanese GT class, 900 in total, 100 in yellow, the rest were white. All the creature comforts are removed to save weight, 1300kg and change vs 1400 for the stock STi, LSD in the rear, open dif in the front, claimed 0 - 100 is 4.5 sec, EL headers and twin scroll turbo gives the early spool and long boost curve but keeps em really quiet (I miss the rumble of UEL but the power band makes up for it). Recaro's and a bunch of other fruity STi bits were optional in Japan. My tuner reckoned it made more power than a stock STi, when it had its first pull on the dyno. A 3 inch catless downpipe and a tune unleashed it even with the std. exhaust, 220kw atw and 450nm at 22 pounds, you leave the traction control on in the wet...

      That's the one but they did also come in Blue, Silver, black and maybe grey too. Initial production was supposed to be 900 but there were a little more produced I believe.
      The UEL does sound a touch better but I agree, the power and spool certainly makes up for the lack of rumble.
