  • Our epic journey into the Star Wars: Imperial Assault continues!!
    Star Wars Imperial Assault: amzn.to/2Ldpbe1
In this episode of Star Wars: Imperial Assault, Corporal Kish gets a bit trigger happy and attempts to show off. He aims to take down a target in the courtyard and we also get our shot at some target practice!
This is the first campaign (tutorial) within the app to help get a better understanding of the rules for new players and some rule changes along the way for experienced players.
Don't forget to check out my existing Star Wars: Imperial Assault unboxings as they continue!

Late to the party, but your Jyn shot was not valid. You can shoot along a red square or wall. However, to have LOS you need to be able to draw from any corner of your space to two corners of the target space with non overlapping lines. Your two lines overlapped, so she does not have LOS.

Thanks for watching and you’re correct on LOS. Would have to double check to see but good eye if true! :)

    Hey Everyone,
Quick note about Line of Sight:
At the point in the video (9:34) where I wanted to confirm that you can draw a LOS along a solid red line. You can, however, the two imaginary lines I must draw from the source corner to two different corners of the target cannot overlap. So that attack wouldn't have been allowed! There is great section in the Rules Reference Guide for LOS which gives an example of this. Cheers!

Hey Adam, are you sure? From the Rules Reference: To determine line of sight, the player draws two imaginary, nonintersecting
lines from one corner of the attacking figure’s space
to two adjacent corners of the target’s space. Ron: I don't think the lines can overlap.

Incorrect. The two lines may not overlap i'm afraid

Thanks guys, I noticed the spot in the Rules Reference where this example is shown. Somehow I interpreted it differently. The pinned comment has been updated. Thanks for the feedback! :)

Glad to help! That was the aim and I had fun putting these together. It’s a great game. See you around!🔥

Really like the concept, I just wish games like this would explore more dice options in addition to the ubiquitous d6, I think that if you're better at hitting something (if the character develops through the game) it should be easier to hit targets. Having a d12,d20,etc., would allow it, better than a d6.

You'd probably be a fan of Sword & Sorcery then. :) Thanks for watching!

Really enjoy your videos so far!! Looking forward to playing the app with my son for his 11th birthday so i want to make sure I understand the rules completely for smoother (attention keeping ;)) gameplay. Thanks!

This game is a lot of fun with the app. Really feels like Star Wars. Still a fav of mine! Have fun with your son and tell I said Happy Birthday when it comes around. Cheers! :D

Thank you for doing these. Can I suggest that you move the part numbers to the start of the video descriptions as the titles are so long, the part numbers don’t display and it makes watching them in order awkward.

Hey Shane, on my channel page I have a 'Rolling Solo Showcases | In Progress' section. Within that there is an Imperial Assault playlist which has them all in order of release. Also at the end of every video there is a direct link to the next one. Hopefully that helps! :)

I'm confused now can you actually shoot straight from at that red line in this tutorial? She is at line of sight right?

    • @RollingSolo
      @RollingSolo  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Do you mean, can I trace line of sight along a solid red border? If so, yes! You just can’t have both line of sights cross at any point. Let me know!

@@RollingSolo No You couldn't shoot through the tree, your line of sight needs to cover the 2 corners of the target. IN the book itself it shows you a yellow crossed line.

Two issues with LOS: 1. you cannot shoot through a red square, however you can shoot along it. 2. You have to be able to hit two squares in the target square that do *not* overlap. So that was not a legal shot.
