Hey, nice video... I am thinking about picking some "dungeon crawl" game/s (solo mainly). What would you recommend me? I would focus on campaign and I would also appreciate good amount of replayability :D my short list is: Imperial assault, Sword and sorcery, Gloomhaven (any other suggestions are welcome). Cheers and continue with a great work
Thanks Matyas! Those are great picks! Others I’d mention are Too Many Bones, Fireteam Zero, Black Plague and Descent would be good choices. Depends on your other criteria outside of just a dungeon crawler. There are a bunch out there!
@@RollingSolo I'm currently determining which one to buy. I like the Star Wars theme but my group tends to get on better with coop games and the fact that the coop side was an after thought on IA is a little off putting where as its a core function of GD. From watching demos GD appears to have a slicker AI (less fiddly AI) and doesn't rely on apps being kept up to date (and its nice to not stare at screens in my spare time). The RAIV cards seem a little less slick and appear to take up more space on the table than GD. Ultimately I want a tactical combat game with minis in a non-fantasy setting and have narrowed it down to IA or GD. What was it that made you choose IA over GD?
@@adebirkby5289 Correct, the solo piece came later which would normally be viewed as a bad thing. However, there are exceptions to that rule and this is certainly one of them. They put a big focus around solo play and due to the multiplayer game being so well designed..the solo play was a natural fit with an app driving the story. They also made some very memorable and cool moments that feel very much like Star Wars while playing. For me, the Star Wars IP has a greater pull and the gameplay is better. I found GD to be dated and I didn’t connect with the backstory at all. That’s just me though!
Hal’s right on! You still need the accuracy of 1. Sorry if I didn’t make that clear. A green die has a minimum of 1 and the blue die is a minimum of 2. So with ranged weapons you’ll always hit that when adjacent unless some effect like hidden or something that directly effects accuracy.
Hey Kevin! Yup, if memory serves I believe they got double activations due to playing with two characters. You may need to double check the co-op rules just to be certain. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for explaining so many weird LotA idiosyncrasies that I could not wrap my head around with the book alone!
Not a problem. Glad to help you out!
Really enjoying this series; looking forward to Part #5 ! Thanks!
Fantastic! I'll see you in the there :)
Sweet tutorial so far Solo! Looking forward to watching the rest of your Imperial Assault content :D
Hey! Glad to here you like it. I had a lot of fun doing this one. Enjoy :D
Best tutorials so far. Great job.

Keep this series going
I plan to Mitchell! Thanks for watching and letting me know your interest. Cheers!

You bet Ian! Glad to be able to help you out. Have fun in your adventures as well! :D

Rolling Solo I will take a look at them. Cheers
Have you had the opportunity to compare playing IA with the app to Galaxy Defenders?
Yes! I prefer IA personally. GD didn’t interest me and I ended up selling it a long time ago. Which do you prefer?

@@RollingSolo Interesting and helpful - thank you! 🙂When you say you found GD dated, was it the theme (Starship Troopers-ish), mechanics or both?
The theme for me. Didn’t connect in a meaningful way.
Question, do you still need to roll a range number even if you are adjacent to the enemy using a range weapon?
Matt 2112 Yes you do. You an accuracy of 1.

The activation s. Move is one activation and to move or attack is the 2nd. You played this as if they had 4 activations is that correct?

9:35 took a shit lol
Rod Boudreau hahaha now that’s a slip :p
Where to buy the laser line
