i feel like you missed the point of parkour civilization, and that is because the jumps get harder the higher class you are, sure you have a giant house as a parkour master but you also need to risk your life multiple times to even enter the house. the rich don't live an easy life while the poor struggle, in parkour civilization everyone struggles even when he becomes the parkour champion the only thing he changes is that everyone get more chances, he is unable to question the true cause of the struggle, the parkour, because he as been brainwashed at birth to see it as the only way of life The true solution is to wake up abolish parkour and stop forcing people to risk their life for even the most basic of necessities such as food
i can see your point, i would also consider that the higher levels get better housing/access to food/can sprint which makes jumps easier, have access to more blocks, can make practice courses, and the masters choose to risk their lives to enter their houses a harder way (but will get laughed at for it). since people are also mostly born into their classes based on the skill they start with, that skill means they're probably not struggling with the parkour they're doing anyways- unless they enter a battle or go up a level.
This is my favorite interpretation. His idea of 'fairness' is built completely upon his only worldview. He makes no attempt to flatten the class structure, only to increase upward mobility.
I found both Parkour civ and this through random algorithm stuff after being shown some of the videos with Gonk the stone dude in them. They seemed a bit childish, but had a few funny moments, so I decided to see what Evbo had. Wow, the absolute difference in storytelling and quality is insane. Actual commentary on class structure, using every advantage he could to push passed the failures, and realizing you need to rely on others sometimes to get through the problems. It's basically a Shonen anime made in minecraft. I am glad others can see the deeper themes, and are making videos about it :)
Aventurine studying parkour civilization and the relatability with gambling, as per order from IPC. Aka. "Aventurine can you stop playing Minecraft at work?!"
Made for young audiences-finally, something wholesome that kids can enjoy and learn from. None of the brain-numbing content or toxic alpha male nonsense.
Personally, I did not find the parkour civilization video all that insightful. It reminds me a bit of the that genre of "dystopian" YA books which were all the rage back in the day. (Think like maze runner, divergent and other hunger games inspired books). Therefore, I see it more as a satirical work combining multiple tropes, clichés and characters plots into this weird amalgamate. And that's what makes the video so fun to me, since it's a very unserious setting with a plot more reminiscent of a serious book.
This exactly. But the familiar yet still seemingly strange setting of the story honestly made it a lot more interesting as a concept than serious attempts of the genre
Hey, pretty cool video, you have a nice voice, it'd be cool to watch some more like this, but please get it right next time, this isnt commentary on our current society because everybody works for their place, the people avobe don't have it easier, but they have it harder, just to let ya know though, no bad intentions, make more content :3
