I could see some ancient evil being trapped in a looping race, and then set free when somebody interrupts the person keeping them trapped there. Something like that. Tall pillars could be used to heighten tension, and longer potion effects could be used to take formerly overpowered characters down a notch.
Can't wait for the day when all of the civilizations combine and Evbo becomes the God of parkour, the God of pvp, and the God of whatever else is used to complete his netherite armor set
