Of course was covered in the video, but I just wanted to expand on it: I think what a lot of people fail to realize is that the reason a lot of these manhunt clips seem so fantastical is that there are a lot of outtake manhunts that the viewers never got to see, because they weren't good enough content. Dream confirmed as much himself in the same video the clip from 14:25 is from, that sometimes there are manhunts where he just has nothing all manhunt and dies in 10 mins, and of course that never gets uploaded because it's boring. Same goes for anticlimactic deaths: think back to all the times where Dream fell off a tree in the nether or burned for a while and lived with only half a heart. Well, there are certainly a bunch of times where Dream took half a heart more damage and died, for another boring video. As he said in the voice clip from 14:25, usually he needs some crazy luck to be able to win in a lot of these manhunts, and since a lot of the bad luck is cut out, this is why a lot of Dream's manhunt luck seems so crazy -- Dream's success in a video (and therefore the chance the manhunt is uploaded) is proportional to the number of crazy clutches he pulls off.

basically, they act purposfully stupid for the content, but get angry when called out. got it. noone cares about how legit it is, people care if you lie to them. just shows how immature the dream crew is that they dont understand simple facts like that.
I might be onto something, but Deram and hunters entered in like 5-7 seconds perioud, so if there was a trap, dream would die, so they mightve also went in, coz they knew there wasnt any traps, other wise he wouldnt entered
4:05 (boat clutch) it's called Gamer Adrenaline, It was essentially a do or die moment and it would be remembered in slow motion, He knew exactly what He needed to do before he knew what to do and performed the necessary actions perfectly at super speed.
I’ve noticed every 5-10 years the internet chooses to hate on a particular person because it is cool. When I was younger it was Justin Bieber, then the Paul brothers, dream, and finally Ishowspeed. So what if he fakes or doesn’t fake his content he is entertaining the next generation of gamers and we could have a lot worse
With Justin Bieber, imo it was pure jealousy. He was a talented kid, but the target audience was not mature, and the internet was becoming a thing which made hateful voices much easier to hear. With the Paul brothers, I haven't watched their stuff but from what I've seen, it's uncontroversial to call them dicks. Not evil or anything like that, just extremely insensitive and unaware. Not good role models. With Dream, what I feel is that he doesn't come across as a genuine person. Maybe he wants to be good, but also was raised by a narcissist or something. These issues always keep popping up in his wake, cheating on his speedruns, scripting his manhunts (which imo he is totally within his rights to do but the issue is if he did do that, he subsequently lied about it by saying he didn't), the accusations of underage grooming (which, again, he's managed to skirt around but it is still worrying). And every time he offers his excuses, they come across as trying to skirt around the issue and save face instead of being genuine apologies or explanations. With ishowspeed, seems to me like he just has a personality that isn't everyone's cup of tea. He's outgoing, bold, but he doesn't come across as a bad person to me by any means. Not the kind of person I'd make friends with, simply because I couldn't handle his energy, and his content is not my cup of tea, but the little I've seen of him outside of his content (doing interviews and the like) he seems like he has a decent head on his shoulders.
@ yeah I agree with a lot of what you said. With dream I wasn’t aware of the grooming accusations and with the speedrun cheating accusations we can never 100% know if he did it intentionally but at the end of the day if I was in his shoes and I could be rich and not have to worry about money ever again and all I have to do is fake a couple of speedruns and have a few scripted videos your damn right I would do it and 90% of the people would do the same. Yeah it would hurt my morals but it’s not hurting anyone but the difference is at the end of all of it I would be honest and say yeah I faked all that shit and disappear like a fart in the wind
To be fair, dream fought Tecno, and he almost won, which does mean he's a really insane minecraft player, and his voice sounded legit but daquavious is so fake

I love how you actually break down the reasoning for the stunts instead of just naming them as fake like every other youtuber that does these. Thank you for that.
Back in that version strenght potions were purple and not orange, they became orange in 1.19.3 and he was not playing that version. Maybe George didn't regnognize the potion but he expect it to be a strenght potion like last time.
Honestly, I don't care much if it's fake or staged, it's still entertaining! There's a reason why Wrestling is so popular; it's fake, but it's also very entertaining
the boat clutch was definitely done with a lowered tickrate. like they just slowed down the gamespeed to do it, or they just reset and did it over and over until he hit it
What about the Soul Sand boat jump in the nether? A TH-camr "masterwyatt" made a shorts about it and I haven't seen an explanation as to it not being staged, so I was wondering whether there is?
Dream's overarching explanation has been that he and the crew just record tons of them and he edits and posts the best ones (even editing in reactions and dialogue from unused takes). He's a pathological liar though so I don't know how much to believe that. A channel called Banana & Bread has shown that it is quite easy to script these and edit them in post to look real.My theory is that 1 and 2 hunters were real, but beyond that were scripted as they gained traction and the odds became basically impossible to beat genuinely.
Playing on a server does not give you more crafting time. The packet for the server to realize that you are far away enough from the crafting table to be kicked out definitely does have a delay before it reaches the client, but the same time is applied to having to OPEN the crafting table, which cancels it out. You can try it in game, which is why when you are lagged out you are unable to open a crafting table. On top of this, there is also a packet delay for the boat to appear in the crafting slot because crafting is also server-side.
Why are like half of these accusations just the hunters making mistakes? Is it really so hard to believe that those stooges would make a poor judgement sometimes?
"People say this was faked. We asked Dream, and after investigating himself, he found it was not fake. Also he doesn't have the seeds so please stop asking him for the seeds."
Any gamemode that isnt homeless level poor uhc needs strength to work otherwise it does 0 damage. A full smp kit without strength is half a heart with a low chance of 1 heart crits, with strength 2 is 1.5 hearts with a 20% chance of 2 heart crits, you are yapping
There is a difference between scripted and staged, scripted literaly means everything will go the way he wants to, but staged is different, staged how he said in the video, looked for a seed before the manhunt, dont let dream die too early and stuff like that, he does this so you can get entertained, its a staged manhunt, not scripted. Scripted like a movie, they wat it should go, and staged as in like in an airsoft game, setting the area, having some rules. Im not sure if i used the airsoft as a good example for staged, but you get the point.
I think the fact that all manhunts that end early don't get showed is enough of an explanation for all early ones. if he missed the boat clutch, bucket throw clutch, etc it simply wouldn't be showed. a sort of extreme selection bias. analogy: anyone would look good if they already had 1k hours in valorant and recorded 5000 games. if they picked out 10 clips of them pulling off a 1v5 ace, you would think they're goated. you would think they were less godlike if you saw all 5000 games. it does take skill to do them in the first place, but also you only see the cherry picked end product, not the thousands of deaths and fails. he doesn't seem to do these extreme clutches midway though the video bc he knows if he misses, thats a very bad end to the video. or he's smart enough not to try them later if it is scripted. ig its the same problem with cheating in a speedrun. if you only see the WR run with crazy luck you just assume its legit. if you saw 100 hours of crazy luck fallowed by the WR run its obviously fake, but it would be impossible without the extra footage. these manhunts would feel much more real if we saw all the
I hate comments like these: "Even if he did fake these..." No, he didn't fake these, there is overwhelming proof that he didn't fake these, and channels like these just make clickbait titles and thumbnails to farm views and then make videos that don't support their title at all
I hate the fact that people gets so immature if you actually believed his stunts are real. Its not a religion or anything be adults or at least argue maturely. Additionally, Dream explained his side of the story perfectly, without any really controversial ideas. So it's believable. From my point of view, this is a really talented Minecraft player with some not so talented friends. Both Dream and the hunters learn from previous games and improve. I really don't think this stuff is faked, at all. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure they've recorded manhunts where Dream died in a really stupid way and they decided to rerecord as it won't be a good manhunt if he just died in lava in the first 5 minutes... I think people need to sit back, relax, chill out, and just enjoy the content given to us, staged or not tbh...
Watchers really seem to forget one crucial thing when watching these: they have the luxury to be stress-free, while the players have a lot of things to worry about. One thing that is not touched upon in the video is, the runs that are uploaded are the runs where Dream makes it to the Nether. Dream says there have been a lot of runs where he dies in the opening chase. What we got is the result of few of these runs. 1. The Fake Potion: With the habit of Dream destroying them with a simple Strength potion, you can bet your ass the hunters are not going to fight Dream with a massive disadvantage. When Bad warned others about Dream taking a Strength potion, the others would not question it, because to them, "Dream has Strength" is the equivalent of "we're screwed if we engage". After that, it's easy to guess they are not going to think further on the matter. 3. The crafting table boat clutch: Again, this is a situation where it's do or die - if he died, this Manhunt wouldn't have been uploaded. Dream isn't just a speedrunner, he is a great Minecraft player, playing all sort of games in it that require skills, which have the side effect of being useable in manhunts. 4. The Invisibility potion: I shouldn't have to explain that one? The whole point of the stunt is to confuse the hunters. For the rest, this is little more than your standard magician's magic trick. Shuffling with Bad is meant to make it hard to tell them apart. As a viewer, you see who is Dream, but from Sapnap's POW, you're going from fighting to figuring out who to fight. 5. Interdimensional TNT: So uh... The thing about continuously doing Manhunts is, both Dream and the Hunters are learning from their mistakes. If it feels staged, this iss because Dream learns more traps and trap counters so he has a chance of winning. Essentially, tell yourself that Dream and the Hunters needs to have a better understanding of Minecraft than your average player. 6. The End Crystal Trap: Essentially, this is the kind of trap that works reliably the first time, but drops in success chance afterwards. 7. George killing Sapnap: I've watched the streams Dream mentionned a while back. It's pretty accurate behavior, from what I've seen. Also, half of everything is luck, and when you're fighting alone against multiple numbers, the times you make it out tends to be those where you are lucky. 8. The Nether Roof escape: Look, I could fall for it if I was under the belief I was invincible from that full Protection 4. Never underestimate the power of arrogance and overconfidence. Was it an obvious trap? Yes. Did the Hunters stop to think about it? No, they were dead set on following Dream. And Dream only made that trap because he heard George mention his Flint & Steel broke. 9. The Water Bucket: Again, never underestimate the power of overconfidence. Dream lost a lot of manhunts before reaching the Nether, which should be happening when you're alone against five people. You need a bit of luck and capitalize on the other's mistakes... AND also be really goood at what you do.
Ill give him this on the strength pot situation. Those hunters have to go and recover their gear every time they die or get NEW gear. As of such I could see them running to prevent losing all their stuff if he drank a str pot.
I think the real culprid behind these lucky lucky moments is george and sapnap's colective braincell that infects any other hunter they play with and make them pretty dumb
Not all manhunt go as he expects most of his manhunt never are posted on yt, like if he just dies in the first five minutes he restarts. If he ever does a live manhunt it will be very boring with all the pacing and stuff. He makes manhunt to entertain us not to get wins against his friends
@@kinggalaxy2875 That's why I only mention it once. I understand it might seem boring, but Dream has already faked his speedrun. @kinggalaxy2875 he literally has a random minecart spawn in an end portal room and doesnt save the seed. if he doesnt fake stuff, he is a master at looking guilty every time while being innocent. i dont think the devil in his place could look more guilty, thats how bad dream is at it.

Your assumptions are hardly going to prove anything People literally have no lives and dig down on 3 years old videos to find out problems when there is hardly any.
My take is, I don't really care if they're staged. The manhunts are really entertaining, and some of these moments are impressive irrespective of whether you took the time to set up and practice a bunch beforehand or needed multiple takes, IE his MLG buckets, boat saves, etc. Plus, how do you fake jumping off a huge mountain and landing perfectly in a crop field? Or placing a tiny piece of ladder on a single block and landing perfectly on the side of the ladder so it kills your momentum? What about jumping down and cutting a leaf block with shears at the perfect time so you can plunge into the water below? Even if those moments were somehow faked, the amount of skill those moments took is impressive. And if they are scripting videos, they are DAMN good at it.
Didnt they already say in the past they do multiple manhunts before they upload one thats like past 10 mins and has good stuff? Its definitely not scripted, but they handpick it from multiple manhunt sessions. And ofcourse, with multiple games, sometimes they get lucky and make those insane plays. And from the whole accidental cheating thing (Just watch Karl Jobst's video on it, no need to argue), we know that they use a luck modifier to make the games go on much faster to record as much as possible with less boring downtime. People are just hating for the sake of hating at this point
Also I think the moments that seem fake or staged are just caused by how many manhunts they do. Dream said himself they do a bunch of them for a good video. At some point in a run hes gonna have a crazy clip.
I like the neutral stance of this video. You present the evidence and you present his response. Sometimes Dream makes them sound pretty legit but other times his defense isn't great.
BTW with the boat clutch, there is a small cut in the video (even in the uncut version) when he is building his small platform, so it is very likely faked
6:51 come on bro. He goes into 3rd person to get a better look at the lava above his head too. He had a water bucket and blocks out. Yet somehow he reacted slower than getting knocked off the edge. So obviously faked
He was drinking a Gatorade can and once he realized there was lava above him he tried flinging his hand back to his keyboard and accidentally enters F5 he reacted normally but didn’t have his hand on his keyboard
@frankitob11 it's so goofy bruh. Wasnt he trying to win? Why would he look up at the lava? What would 3rd person do? Other than give us a better look. He could spontaneous react to getting knock of an edge an respond by crafting a boat but not place some blocks above his head? Or ran to the edge an place a block to stand on? I really used to like dream, but I guess all minecraft youtubers turn bad eventually.
@ this was way before the boat craft. As I said he was drinking his Gatorade can and tried to flick his hands onto his keyboard and accidentally entered f5. Why would dream cheat there’s no point like dream is one of the best manhunt players in the world and making scripts would be exhausting

The Paul brothers are legitimate scammers that deserve everything they got. They've never been good role models or people to look up to.

💀💀💀bro
Logan Paul being colorblind sounds more fake tbh, but i agree some bit probably were redone, but the clutches probably aren’t.
Oooooo ty

There is a difference between scripted and staged, scripted literaly means everything will go the way he wants to, but staged is different, staged how he said in the video, looked for a seed before the manhunt, dont let dream die too early and stuff like that, he does this so you can get entertained, its a staged manhunt, not scripted. Scripted like a movie, they wat it should go, and staged as in like in an airsoft game, setting the area, having some rules. Im not sure if i used the airsoft as a good example for staged, but you get the point.
I think the fact that all manhunts that end early don't get showed is enough of an explanation for all early ones. if he missed the boat clutch, bucket throw clutch, etc it simply wouldn't be showed. a sort of extreme selection bias.
analogy: anyone would look good if they already had 1k hours in valorant and recorded 5000 games. if they picked out 10 clips of them pulling off a 1v5 ace, you would think they're goated. you would think they were less godlike if you saw all 5000 games. it does take skill to do them in the first place, but also you only see the cherry picked end product, not the thousands of deaths and fails.
he doesn't seem to do these extreme clutches midway though the video bc he knows if he misses, thats a very bad end to the video. or he's smart enough not to try them later if it is scripted.
ig its the same problem with cheating in a speedrun. if you only see the WR run with crazy luck you just assume its legit. if you saw 100 hours of crazy luck fallowed by the WR run its obviously fake, but it would be impossible without the extra footage. these manhunts would feel much more real if we saw all the

ah why?
For the 6 hunters, just add Rekrap, we need some sort of counter

If Dream didn’t script the Manhunt, he would have shared the seed and done at least one live.
Show us proof that the same isn't true for the manhunt-something more than just 'trust me, bro.' I want to see if this god-like gameplay can happen in an unscripted environment. People literally have no lives and dig down on 3 years old videos to find out problems when there is hardly any.
Fr
Didnt they already say in the past they do multiple manhunts before they upload one thats like past 10 mins and has good stuff? Its definitely not scripted, but they handpick it from multiple manhunt sessions.
And ofcourse, with multiple games, sometimes they get lucky and make those insane plays. And from the whole accidental cheating thing (Just watch Karl Jobst's video on it, no need to argue), we know that they use a luck modifier to make the games go on much faster to record as much as possible with less boring downtime.
People are just hating for the sake of hating at this point

@frankitob11 it's so goofy bruh. Wasnt he trying to win? Why would he look up at the lava? What would 3rd person do? Other than give us a better look. He could spontaneous react to getting knock of an edge an respond by crafting a boat but not place some blocks above his head? Or ran to the edge an place a block to stand on?
I really used to like dream, but I guess all minecraft youtubers turn bad eventually.
@ this was way before the boat craft. As I said he was drinking his Gatorade can and tried to flick his hands onto his keyboard and accidentally entered f5. He also placed his water but since it was in lava it didn’t do anything. He tried to save himself from the situation but couldn’t do it because his left hand was drinking Gatorade
PurpleMatter is gonna have a field day with this
I don’t think bro cheated💀
same i think people are always skeptical nowadays. PLUS its a video for KIDS its not that deep. even if it is faked, who gives a f***. its entertaining either way.

Many of his plays are still impressive. I doubt even 1% of the mc community could do that boat-craft clutch
