I know it's obvious but the quality of the video even through that cheap capture card is great! So much better than the $200 or $300 luxury webcams. Those things are really useless except for having a small size. The big sensor and nice lenses of a proper mirorless camera to llivestream or zoom is so much better!! And it costs the same amount if you buy used!
Maybe you know the solution - when i plug mine into the hdmi cable and into my capture card, the back LCD display just flashes from black to screen and no output is going into the capture card - the capture card supports up to 4k/30 or 1080p/60, i have tried both and both act same :/
Try connecting just the camera to an HDMI monitor. If you see the signal then it’s capture card issue , also try a different cable to see if it’s not the HDMI that’s broken
@@slaypuft Yes I ended up getting a different capture card (a cheap $20 one from amazon) and it works fine, yet my more expensive capture card just flickers...
Hello yes it does. You can also use to live stream and record at the same time with the HDMI connected. Worse case scenario use a phone to monitor and control the camera with wifi
Beautifully made video! Thanks a lot for your efforts. Just a little question by curiosity, how did you film the camera settings plan from 3:19-10:55, really clear-cut!

Great video, thanks! Quick Question - is it possible to use this cam with apllications with specific effects? For example with Snap Camera? I often use filters during online meetings, so thats important for me. Thank you in advance!
Glad you enjoyed it. Yes as long it’s connected on your computer with your favourite capture card, any conferencing or streaming software will see at as webcam. You can go head and apply effects as you wish
The camera has a built in mic that you can use it’s sound however it doesn’t support an external mic ( has no mic input) so for better audio I would suggest a separate mic
@@Music_Light_Show in that case you can use an external mic connected directly into the camera. I would work as long as you have a mic that connects directly into the camera
@@LiveProductionTips thank you for replying! I am searching for a m43 camera for live streaming that has continuous power and clean HDMI. Looks like the GX85 is quite the choice.
my camera keeps shutting off and then back on again when I try to use the HD60 S+ 4K Utility app on the laptop! it works fine connected to the monitor when NOT using the Capture Utility. But then when trying to use it Im getting the error message again and the Camera starts cutting off and on.
Hi there. I got this video capture card, and it seems to work fine. I connected it to my nintendo switch and it works fine. My Lumix GX85 directly to a monitor through hdmi works fine too, but my lumix through the video capture card to my computer doesn't seem to work. Are there any changes on the lumix I need to change?
Hello you are not getting a signal at all ? Check your frame rate make sure it’s in full HD 1080p 30fps. It should work. Also try different applications on your computer ( OBS, Zoom, etc) it could be the settings in the app you are using)
@@LiveProductionTips Thank you so much for the reply! I'm leaving some details here in case anyone sees your video and has a similar problem: I tried changing all the settings, the FPS and the resolution. Sometimes the menu shows on 1080p but not always. It cuts in and out. My HDMI cable works fine going from my Lumix to a monitor. My video capture card works on other devices like my nintendo switch. I tried OBS, Quicktime, and some other software on both Windows and Mac. The issue ended up being the cable for some reason! I bought a new cable which supports 4k video and for some reason that caused it. So if anyone has tried absolutely everything and can't figure it out, try a different HDMI cable.
The best video about connecting a Panasonic camera via HDMI to a PC for Live View or Streaming. Thanks so much. Greetings from Brazil.

Yes it does. Tap on the area you want to focus on through the App and It will lock the focus on it

Ya they should

Can the Lumix G85 be used for the same purposes in the same way or no?
Definitely yes. Probably even more options with the g85

Yes it would have the usual same record limit. Keep in mind when recording in 4K you get a longer recording time.

Not for the moment because I don’t do long streams but yes a dummy battery would be ideal for longer streams .

Yea you can take pictures with it. It won’t probably give the best high res pictures but a lot of people use depending on the type of photography
