Amazing lesson! top 5 al -time song for me, never thought it was possible on acoustic until finding videos like your on TH-cam. thanks for breaking it down!
Thanks man , such a great lesson. I've seen Corey and others play this and tried to get it down but struggled with a lot of the finer details. I'm not proficient enough to get this from someone playing full speed so for you to explain it patiently at a speed i can comprehend is invaluable to me. I see you have the part 2 up as well, many thanks. 👍
Your version suits my playing style more than Mr. Corey Heuvel's does. PLEASE finish teaching this when you have the time! By the way, I love the look and sound of your cherry sunburst Epiphone. I'd like to get the 12-string version some day.
Thanks for listening! Glad you like the guitar. I like it also. it was definitely more in my price range than the Gison Hummingbird version was. I will put up a second part to this soon... promise!!!
Thanks so much for checking it out! I'm glad you found it helpful! Part 2 is out also by the way, if you haven't seen it and want to keep going with the lesson: th-cam.com/video/QlD7WJndQeQ/w-d-xo.html
I remember watching the cover and wanted to play along. I didn’t expect that you‘d make a video lesson. Already a big thank you for the work you put into it. This will be my hardest song so far but I’ll try to play it on my dads birthday.
Thank you so much for checking it out and trying it yourself! Let me know how it goes! You can do it! Your comment inspires me to get off my ass and make part II.
Taking note of your opening vocals - “I did a nickel (?) down about an hour ago…” - I felt the need to comment. I have listened to Jim Morrison sing those lyrics for decades (at normal and slow playback speeds) and cannot accept “just got into town about an hour ago”. It makes me cringe. Whether Morrison originally wrote those words , he certainly did not record them as such on LA Woman. I hear Jim loosely saying “I did (or dig) a little down”. It’s not surprising that the lyrics were sanitized by music publishers and online sources perpetuate that myth. But it really bugs me that virtually all covers continue to ignore the obvious. BTW, I enjoyed the video. Yours is among the best acoustic versions. Thanks !
Hi Lobo, thanks for the work!! I just spent 3 hours playing watching your tips and Corey's video....and it's starting to look like something. Unfortunately I can't sing but it's still cool to play! greetings from France, see you soon for the 2nd part!
@@doctorr2 Oh yeah, thank you in advance! you're good at soloing, it's the penta major that you have to play... I still worked a few hours, I also watched Justin Johnson, by mixing you 3 I should play something! Bye bye and thank you!
Please finish teaching this song. I'm 51-years old and was just diagnosed with stage-four colon cancer. My doctor says I have a 13% chance of living another five years. I'd like to learn your arrangement of "L.A. Woman" before I kick the bucket. Doing so would get my mind off the constant dread and the physical pain I feel. Also, I'd videotape my performance to leave behind for my relatives. I know we all have our problems, but I just want to change my mood from sad to gladness. Thanks for reading my morbid post!
Wow that is a hell of a bit of news to get from your doctor. Really sorry to hear that and wish you god speed and living well past your doctor's best case predictions! In the meantime, as a pretty amazing coincidence to receiving your comment, i actually got up part 2, finally, this past week! th-cam.com/video/QlD7WJndQeQ/w-d-xo.html I promise to get up the final part in the coming weeks. Feel free to PM me if you'd like to some direct help with the song. I think you can do that here on youtube, or my email is lobo (at) em-w.com
@@doctorr2 Thank you for your kind reply. I was reluctant about mentioning/exploiting my medical issues here because I still haven't told my relatives and friends about it. If I learn your brilliant arrangement of "LA Woman," I will share a video of my playing it with you. For now, I leave with you a quote from Kinky Friedman: "May the God of your choice bless you."
Hey Thanks for checking it out and appreciate the compliment! It's mostly all in A, just different shapes and fingerings of the chord. Although it goes down to G a bit in the chorus. In other parts of the song (MOJO rising part) has some C in it, but the part of the song covered here is just in A. I suggest studying the CAGED system, which gives you the power to find the A anywhere on neck. Or, if you want a zoom lesson, send me and email to lobo at em-w dot com.
Corey, is pretty freaking amazing for sure, he has a lot of good stuff. Thanks for posting this, I will work on it.
Thanks man! i'll post the Part II in coming days. It's been too long!
Wow 🎶⚖️🦉

Love to see ya do some more songs in this fashion
Definitely worth more than a dollar🎶

Yes, I remember you now Lobo, good to see you, nice of you to give Corey a shout-out. I agree he is the Yoda of the guitar.

Thank you so much! Appreciate your thoughts on those opening lyrics. You're right. The Lizard King didn't 'just get into town about an hour ago." lol.
Thanks for that. I wondered what the words were.
Nice tuxedo cat 😊 i have a cat with same colors. he like to sleep near by me, while i play on guitar
😁That's Padme, one of six of the cats around here, lol
Very very good loved it
Thank you so much for taking the time to say so in this comment! Appreciate you!

Thank you! 160 BPM!
No way he actually made this. Welp, I know what I’m doing this weekend!
Glad you're giving it a shot, bro! Feel free to hit me up with any questions!
Love your video ! Thanks.

WOW dude you're good!
Thank you bro! I appreciate the compliment!
such a great song. great cover.
Thank you bro!
Thanks a lot !
You're welcome! thanks for checking it out!
Sounded great but I couldn't follow your chords. I got the beginning A chord but have no idea what the other chords are. Oh well.
Hey Thanks for checking it out and appreciate the compliment!

Robbie was so cool -
Check out stitch method in the mind of robby krieger La woman he knows exactly what robby is playing
Ill check it out, thanks!
Que afinación utilizas
Standard!
@@doctorr2 suena muy bacano pensé que utilizabas otra afinación. Que bien, gracias x contestarme amigo muchas gracias y que estés bien
The lyric is “well I did a little dive about an hour ago”
That's not what it sounds like he's singing, nor how it's written on any of the lyrics I've seen. But if you say so.
So many annoying douche bags out there huh
Great stuff! Thank you for giving a shit.
you're welcome! thanks for the comment and for checking it out!
FromAustrailia super break down cheers
Glad you liked it! thanks for watching! I will get part 2 out soon! :)
I thought this was Gabe Newell at first ^^
A leaner, younger, better looking Gabe Newell maybe.
