Turtle The Vintage Camper Van Build | Part 8 - Drawers | Cabinets | Headliner Shelf

Slow and steady, the renovation for our 1989 Ford Econoline Coachmen Camper Van named Turtle is coming together. First off we stared with the cargo locker on the back this was attached using unistrut that we still had leftover from the rood rack the locker helps us keep some extra storage outside for oils, hoses and other fluids important for maintaining turtle .We then worked on our cabinets, shelving and drawers as far as we could before leaving on our road trip. We also made our headliner and added a shelf. For the drawers and cabinets we got to a functional point where we had the framework and slides installed and some of the drawer faces as well. We also installed some strong magnets to keep the doors closed. In the front we added a United States map fabric headliner and also a wooden shelf which the original build was lacking. This shelf helps hold our electronics, maps, sun glasses and other items safely in the driving area. We got as much done as we could by delaying our road trip for the solar eclipse by nearly a week. We still didn't get it done 100% but are taking many of the tools and materials needed in order to finish down the road. Stay tuned for updates! Thanks for being a part of our journey :)
