  • The goal is to build a ridiculously fun daily driver that can also dominate on the autocross and road course. So we're installing big 13-inch Baer brakes on the '99 Ford Mustang GT. We're also maximizing the contact patch with a sweet set of new tires and wheels from American Muscle. This is a companion video to a feature story in Car Craft Magazine which you can see here: bit.ly/2Ed5jX1

    Great video👍👍. How does the rear parking brake cable secure to new Baer caliper ? Thanks

      It is a GM style with a hoop on the end of the cable that you put over a lever on the brake. You have to swap out the stock parking brake cables. Thanks for watching

    Great project, the new larger rotors and calipers look awesome. Love the wheel choice too! Say, I loved the Dart SHP 427 build you did. What car did it end up in? Is there a chance of seeing the install and hearing it run/drive? I'm really wanting to do that build for my wife's 1981 Camaro Z-28 with the lackluster 175 hp 350 in it. Her car is a one owner (her) and it's only got 68K on the clock... it looks like new too..... she got it for her 21st Birthday and that motor has got to go...! lol... thanks for the videos!

      Thanks for the kind words! The 427 is still sitting patiently in the shop. The plan was to put it in my '78 Camaro--and I still hope to--but the car has been tied up in other projects and I haven't had a chance to put the engine in yet. Hopefully soon!

      @@TheHorsepowerMonster, I'm anxiously awaiting that video.... wish I could help! lol.... I love that stroker 427 small block idea. Thanks for the reply!!

    Can you show a picture of how the new braided line hooks to the stock hard line?

    I put the Baer 6p kit on my 2004 saleen , I have literally had nothin but problems with drum parking brake system, it wont hold for anything, did you guys have any issues with the bear e-brake hold ? Im gonna take mine apart and try a total re install and see what happens and what I find...

      I'll be honest -- I never hooked the park brake up! It needed so much work to get it properly adjusted, I pulled the old, "I'll fix it later." ... And then never did.

    what seats are in the mustang?

    • @TheHorsepowerMonster
      @TheHorsepowerMonster  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Those are ProCar by Scat's Sportsman Pro seats. I wanted something that held you in place better, and those definitely do the trick. Plus, I cut about 40 pounds out of the car by swapping out the stock seats for those. I did the install in a story for Car Craft magazine a couple months ago. If you are interested, you can see it here: www.hotrod.com/articles/interior-upgrade-for-sn95-mustang/ . Thanks for watching

      i think the gloves are more to keep the oil on your hands off of the rotors
