I know I’m 7 months late watching this good thorough video. But just be careful where you put up your lighted Christmas deco… lol! I do appreciate all the testing you did on this. Now I can make a better decision what to get. I’m not one that likes to buy a tv and try it out then exchange it for another until satisfied with one. What was interesting was when your room was totally dark, one screen looked better than the rest. Then the scene on the screen would change, then another tv would look better. It showed up when certain colors were on the displays. Mainly showing the difference in woled panel vs QD OLED.
How is the depth/3D effect of the A95L in comparison to the G4? That tv (A95L) with xr clear was the first time i noticed noticeable depth in comparison to other TV’s
I'ts a QD OLED with a heatsink and you get Sony's newest chipset and features. Nothing this year will be better by any amount that matters, by any company, if at all. You'll have a high end TV for the next 5 years for sure. By 2028 or so the lower end OLED's like the C series may be at that level with new stuff at the higher end. Until then, it's all going to be small differences. Def enjoy the TV and dont' let yourself have any FOMO. Until it's time to go bigger, you have no need to try and get "better". Do you watch a lot of movies? You are using XR clear and at least some of the motion clarity features right? Some purists don't like these, but subjectively they make the image MUCH better. Motion clarity on OLED's is just very low without help from good processing.
Is it just me, or do both Samsungs appear to have a pinkish hugh to them in most scenes containing bright colours? Can this be adjusted in the settings? Great video KG!
I wonder that myself, I really liked to know that answer also. I find it weird, I mean, that is a huge issue tbh, white is not white, it is purle-pinkish ... not good.

There’s scenes where it stays in line with all of the TVs, of course in the higher grades content it won’t keep up with the G4 and S95D but it stays close to the S90D quite a bit. Sony is not calibrated, none of the TVs are.

Its clear the S95D is the brighter and more impactful TV, I got this feeling at times with the S95C vs S90C but I felt like S90C got closer to the S95C, but I think the S95D is a bigger leap over the S90D with luminance in mind.

You guys have to remember that just bc a panel is Qd oled doesn’t mean it’s going to out perform a woled in every way and you are comparing a Sony woled processor to the S90D Qd oled processor. The A80L will keep up simply bc of the processing.
Its off most of the time in this comparison unless I was testing vivid then it is on, I have figured it out its really just manipulating the picture based on what the AI feels needs to be adjusted you can get a smoothing effect sometimes other times its edge enhancement. There is also this thing it does with skin tones where it tries to get them to be more realistic but I think it hasn't worked very well from what I have seen, ill have a whole video probably about it because it is really interesting the way it behaves.
AI picture pro is huge. It's the equivalent to reality creation on Sony. I keep mine on medium for most content. AI picture pro and varying the sharpness can create a very detailed image with the processing. Medium AI picture pro with sharpness between 20-23 is usually quite sharp and detailed. You get literal "reality creation" as the AI will really start filling things in! It's pretty crazy to flip back and forth and see all the detail it's adding/enhancing
Unlike Brian of Tech Therapy he refuses to comment on upscaling, I've asked and asked if he can look at low resolution of 1080p and see how the TVs processing can handle low bite to 4k....help us all out KG....really disappointed with Brian..as a reviewer that's part of his job ....
That’s not fair criticism towards Brian, you have to understand upscaling isn’t the easiest thing to show as most people want to see content we can’t show you on TouTube I personally won’t show copyrighted content mostly because it’s too much of a grey area, even though it’s fair use anything on tv or streaming usually gets flagged and the video gets removed most of the time, that’s not worth the risk at all for us. If it wasn’t risky I’d show nothing but real content but unfortunately it doesn’t work like this.
Noob question, I heard that S95D default calibration is bad. If I use Rtings calibration, will I have the same result as them or will every unit differ?
Think about it. If it would not differ in every unit, then we wouldn't need to calibrate at all. You can set the correct settings right after manufacturing and all units were "calibrated".
For me most these TV's, at least at mid range class and up, have solid picture itself and with some adjustments will satisfy most anyone as far as overall picture quality. For me the major deal breaker is motion blur, smear/judder and noise. Sony's processors seem to have the best overall control of these issues from streaming services, sports and gaming though still not perfected at ALL. I'm not sure why we don't get much more discussion and demonstration of this ongoing issue with all models of tvs. I feel like it's most easily the most distracting. Even for people who aren't tech freaks get annoyed or point this issue out! The first TV to truly perfect these issues will be king though it also depends on those streaming services getting much better as well.
i keep my lg g3. not worth to upgrade to the lg g4. lg g6 will the big step up! but why you dont put at color range not the setting original? it looks better then automatic detect. colors looks dimmer. if you select auto detect at color range!
Best Hamburger in the world is worth nothing if someone puts nutella into it. Same with TVs, sharp and clear reflections destroy every glossy coated TV picture. Some people don't even realize that their picture turns into BS if sun is out or someone turns on a lamp. They even brag about their new super-TV and I am just stunned cause they don't even care about the huge reflections. I am gonna buy the S95D, picture quality is more than good, low to no reflections and it is brighter than any other OLED with its 1700nits. LG doesnt seem to care much about anti-reflection, mirrors no thx! If I want to shave my face I go to the bathroom...
I dont know the G4 just looks the brighter tv and has more hdr pop, and the picture is just sharper. Looking at the lava pic, i think the Lg looks more realistic, and the samsung is more over saturated as usual. In filmmaker the tvs look almost the same and the Lg just looking a little bit brighter and sharper.
That scene the S95D actually looks closer to what it should look like in general, QD OLED nails this better. W-OLED loses color here struggles with displaying this a little bit even if it has MLA enhancement.
Don't count on it LG has been locking peak brightness to off in SDR for years and I complain about it in my reviews each year lol. Saving grace for G4 is if your system supports ALLM it can actually get brighter with barely much addition to input lag. If you are using say the Switch for example though this doesn't have ALLM and your locked to what game mode can do that said its plenty bright for most people I believe it doesn't look dim in person like the I felt the C series looked in SDR game mode.
Yes, Omar it works for you it stands for Auto Low Latency Mode, first make sure ALLM is checked in your Xbox settings and then make sure ALLM is turned on in game optimizer settings on G4 once it is, you are free to select any picture mode like you would outside of game mode.
It's kind of amusing to see RTINGS, that does in debth testing! To have S90D, with higher brightness than 95's by a small margine, but in your video, the S95D is a tone more brighter. Also indeed the G4 is a bit brighter than the S90D! But not as much as you are showing it here! I think you are advertising, and they aren't set on same brightness level. Therefor the result.
S95D look cheap on matte screen ever since s90a nothing improved, that is why the price drops in a few months, i have s90a and last year model, both 65 i dont see any difference,
I seriously can't believe woled is going to beat qd oled(Samsung can’t find buyers for their qd oled tech). Samsung really fumbled so fucking hard. They're really just such morons. qd-oled is by far superior to woled, but for some reason, Samsung really never gave a crap about it. They didn't even want to start selling their own qd-oled TV's in the first place. I really have no idea what's going through their heads. They simply don't have interest in oled, and they never really did in the first place. They have some real smooth brains running things. woled is just so trash in comparison. Regardless of how bright the white gets, qd oled's white is far more pleasing to the eye. Woled has always looked a little ugly. The colors are just so much better on standard rgb displays.
In my opinion there is no reason make stream so long. The main questions should be discussed via live sream are dimming, motion, colours deepth , skin tones, uniformity and few more. That's it. There is no reason to test Brightness on TV. All TV'S are bright enough to watch movies, sporto and ect. If You really care about Brightness, buy LCD ir Mini LED TV.
I'm waiting for the Sony Bravia 9. Enjoy your free burn in on these oleds. All oleds will eventually get burn in its hoiw the technology degrades over time.

@@paulcox2447how do you set it to medium? I only get on or off options on my G4.
He is a tool.
This is why he refuses to state one of the main selling points of the TV.
G4 the best for sure shame you guys don’t have Panasonic oleds because they kick all other brands.👍👍
Last in hdtv blind tv shootout in 2023 😂
I seen with my own eyes 👀
please make s95d vs oled c4 vs oled g4 in games
Over saturated in what mode? I didn't feel like any TV in this comparison was over saturated unless we are talking about vivid mode.
@@TechWithKG No I didn't mean the video the video was great, That pic of the lava, maybe it's the difference between how the tv's process the image
That scene the S95D actually looks closer to what it should look like in general, QD OLED nails this better. W-OLED loses color here struggles with displaying this a little bit even if it has MLA enhancement.
The future is for 8K TVs so I will go for a monitor
qled-mini led qn900d/65inch
I hope there will be an update so SDR game mode, so it can get as bright as the S95D
Hello what is ALLM and when do I use it ? I have the G4 and my Xbox series X so ALLM works for me?
Yes, Omar it works for you it stands for Auto Low Latency Mode, first make sure ALLM is checked in your Xbox settings and then make sure ALLM is turned on in game optimizer settings on G4 once it is, you are free to select any picture mode like you would outside of game mode.
Thanks very much KG
The top right TV looks poor and washed out
Le le g4 est plus lumineux que les autres modèles sur la vidéo.
Lg g4 is the best tv of the world 🏆🏆🏆🏆📺
It's kind of amusing to see RTINGS, that does in debth testing!
S95D is brighter and more impactful than the S90D. S95D is using a 3rd generation panel. There is a reason why it’s more expensive
S95D look cheap on matte screen ever since s90a nothing improved, that is why the price drops in a few months, i have s90a and last year model, both 65 i dont see any difference,
Does it support Dolby Vision HDR ? If not ... move on.
Simples ...😊
The color green doenst look good on G4 imo. Samsung better in that regard. Used to be the other way around.
For me 95D is better
Loses brightness too fast.
There's nothing a Plasma will do better than Oled.
Obrigado por esta boa comparação, você fez um ótimo vídeo. Todas as imagens são boas, mas prefiro o G4
I don’t start my day off by saying I’m going to stream for 3 hours and 45 minutes 😂 it just kind of happens…
Sony looks so bad
I'm waiting for the Sony Bravia 9. Enjoy your free burn in on these oleds. All oleds will eventually get burn in its hoiw the technology degrades over time.
Burn in whats that's?
LCD has more problems than OLED
