Its much easier for singles to meet others in Playa del Carmen than Tulum with the bars closing early. In Tulum almost every thing is a restaurant and when 10or 11 rolls around it just shuts down. There is one place called IT that is ok for mingling and dancing. It closes the same time in playa but there are many more bars to got to.
Just watched this.. the ruins added to the uniqueness of Tulum.. Cenotes are really so interesting to explore..hopefully, your next destination will also be as beautiful as Sayulita and Tulum, Martin!
Love the Tulum ruins too because of so many differences. Shades from the trees and the breeze from the sea, offer you a relief from walking under the heat of the sun. You’re not as exposed to the blazing hot than when you’re in Chichen Itza. Actually, Tulum was inhabited by the Mayan people of royal and nobility houses, priests and high society. As you can see it’s fortified wall, was built during the 13th century (not thousand years old yet ) and was still occupied as a working village for more than 50 years even after Spanish colonization. It’s the only seaport archeological site of the Mayan city in the Yucatán peninsula. Most of the ruins in Mexico are inland but this Mayan city was built specifically on a coast as a seaport trading for jade and turquoise. Unlike Chichen Itza, ruins here are not exclusive pyramids and temples only but Chichen is large and everything is big as of ruin structures because it was the major economic power in their time.

Try to visit the Coba ruins next, Martin and Ave. They allow tourists to climb the pyramid though not as high as in Chichen Itza but you still get the over view of the jungle. There, you ride a bicycle to tour the whole village ruins. Lots of shades from the trees.

Try to visit the Coba ruins next, Martin and Ave. They allow tourists to climb the pyramid though not as high as in Chichen Itza but you still get the over view of the jungle. There, you ride a bicycle to tour the whole village ruins. Lots of shades from the trees.
