      Thanks for watching!
I really believe that the best way to find out what you like is to get out and ride.
Some people are more excited about tires, others about luggage. I am more focused on comfort.
I believe that if you are not comfortable while riding, then you are not safe.
Check out my video on comfort mods.
      Thanks again for watching.
You can also find me on Facebook book, Tiger Coward with the same logo. That page is entirely devoted to Adventure Motorcycling.

You have someone do your tires, so I see needing them both off.
My V-Strom, since I do my own tires, is easy. With the center stand, the rear is off the ground. I change it and put it back on.
The front tire, I loosen the pinch bolts, loosen the axle, remove the calipers, pull the axle out and the front lifts and the bike settles on the rear tire.
My bike has the tire speed monitors, and you have to remember to remove those before yanking axles.
    I've been running the Missions on a DL1000XAL8/2018 V-Strom 1000XT. With the stuff I carry, it's about a 600lb motorcycle
The front was replaced at 9000 miles (14,400K) because it was scalloping.
The rear has 12000 miles (19,200K) on it, and I can see it's only got about 3000 miles (4,800K) left.
I do NOT run my tires down to the wear bar.
And I have to say the tires mileages were about 70% gravel/dirt and 30% street.
On the street, they are almost as good as a Bridgestone Trail Wing. Rain isn't a problem.
On dirt and gravel, they are great. They are not so great in deep mud or deep sand.
They don't have the voids like a knobbie to sling mud under 8 miles an hour or to dig down through sand.
The entire Hampster Ride was on the rear tire I still have on the bike and the replaced front tire.

Yeah, I am happy to pay to have the tires changed and get it done properly. I don't trust myself.
      Thanks for watching.
Btw these tires were great on the Trans Tiaga!

I have the Shinko 705 on my bike and will need to replace them sometimes next summer. Can't say that i'm not pleased with the Shinkos but would like to get more kms out of the tires. Rode 8,000km so far with the Shinkos and i expect about 4,000km more before i need to replace. I heard that the Dunlop Trailmax Mission tires can get twice that. The only concern i have with those Trailmax Mission tires is that the rear tire is very stiff and not dual compound which could mean more slippery on cold and/or wet surface... and living in Quebec + riding in April & October, i need tires that will keep their grips.
So i would like to hear your thoughts about that.
Looking forward to an update concerning those Dunlop Trailmax Mission tires.

My experience has been great so far.
I have ridden on them for about 8,000 km, and I have no complaints.
I rode on sand and gravel on my Trans-Taiga trip and rode in cold rain on the Billy Diamond Highway with no concerns at all.
In early November, I rode from Windsor, Ontario, to my home near Collingwood ,Ontario (400 km). The temperature was around 5° and it rained for the last hour. The ride was quite miserable, but there was no issues at all with the tires.
      Thanks for tuning in!

@@tigercoward Thanks for the update after 8,000km. I gotta ask : 1- if the Michelin Anakee tires are fantastic and you got 18,000km out of them, why change ? And 2- do you expect to get more than 18,000km out of the Dunlop Trailmax Mission tires based on the thread left after 8k km ?

      @sleemanman9188
I loved the Anakees and will have them again.
I bought the Dunlop Trailmax Mission because of the trip on the North Road and Trans-Taiga. They are more aggressive, and they have a reputation of being hard to puncture.
My next trip will be in June on the backroads of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Lots of gravel and the Dunlops Wil be perfect.
After 8, 000km there is very little visible wear on the tires. I expect to get at least 20k out of them.
The only negative is that they are loud.

@@tigercoward I was just there in NB 2 months ago. Folks there are very friendly. Hope you enjoy your trip.
20K km is very good. As for these tires being loud, it wouldn't bother me as i almost always ride with earplugs anyway.
Thx for the replies... and keep it safe ✌😎🤟

just returned from James Bay. The checkin booth informed us the Trans Taiga is un rideable for bikes. They resurfaced alot of it with large sharp rock like gravel. Hydro quebec guys told us they have helped guys with smashed wheels and bodies. Take care my friend

I rode the entire length of the Trans Tiaga.
Parts of the North Road were worse than anything on the Trans Tiaga.
      What are you riding?
