Wow. I forget how big my feelings are, when the first 10 mins of this movie plays. Fighting back them tears is always a losing battle.
For sure!!
Just watching the clips again starts the water works .
Defenity one of the best movies intro in cartoon history
I'm a grown dude and "UP" brings a tear to my eye every single time (at least in the intro part).
And I ain't ashamed of it, bc that only shows how well this movie is made. 😃
You definitely shouldn’t be ashamed to admit! Nothing wrong with a man showing emotions!
One of the most heartbreaking yet beautiful intros to a film in cinematic history ❤
I agree I love how him and his wife grew up together
The character Muntz was voiced by Christopher Plummer, forever famous for his role as Captain von Trapp in the classic movie musical "The Sound of Music".
And General Chang
Just like Wall*E before it, the best parts of this movie are the dialogue-free scenes.
Haven’t seen it yet!
@@snackandreact you should correct that.... really worth it...
I love that it made your girl cry on those marriage moments. She s real one. Keep her bro.
Umm I think anyone with a heart would get emotional in the beginning
The beginning of this bloody film! 😭😭😭😭
laughed at the part at the end when you talked about meeting your idol
"Yeah they're douchebags" That came from the hearts haha.
🤣🤣🤣
I’ve wanted to be an animator my whole life. This movie proves in 10’minutes you show an entire lifetime of happiness and growth that ends in pure tragedy. The big boy questions we must ask are: is Carl dead, and is Russel an analogy for Virgil walking Dante through hell. Cartoons are made by adults and usually have vastly deep questions for children, always watch cartoons.
Christ who cares? The real questions are are you happy?
@@user-zw6bv7xb9y apparently you do. Happiness is only one part of the spectrum, people would think me simple if I was constantly happy.
@@DannyBedo didn't mean to come off mean, just wondered if you see the happy.
The first 10 minutes of this movie broke my hubby and me😢😢😢 such a beautiful movie
The Reason Dug Is Able To Track The Bird Is Because He's A Hunting/Sporting Dog, The Others Are Guard/Attack Dogs!!
Dang! How could I be so stupid not to SEE that! Thanks! :)
With the end of the movie the way it is.They can take the blimp back to Paradise Falls and see that his house landed there. They can visit it whenever they want to.Or they can move the house where ever they want to using the blimp.
The real UP house is in Seattle Washington. The house is surrounded by big buildings just like the movie.
Oh wow!! I didn’t know there was an actual house!!
Lol for you see the airnb house version it's so cute you can pay to stay there like a hotel
such a good movie never has a pixar or animated movie made me cry so much in the 1st 15mins
How crazy the opening no talking yet all those feels
I remember watching this movie when i was like 5 or 6 and watching it when im 17 now makes everything in the first few minutes more impactful for me since i can actually understand whats happening
Absolutely!!
Incoming tears
💯
Top tier animated movie. Loved your reactions
Thank you!
@47:00 This part always gets me even more than the opening
It got me too!!!
Hi! At the short story about Carl &Ellie. They wanted to go to Venezuela. You can read on the ticket. The Paradise’s Fall is inspired to the Angel Fall in the Canaima National Park.
I’m so glad I stumbled upon your guy’s reaction. You guys are so cute! I cried during this movie too lol. Your husband’s reactions were funny asf. I’ll be checking out your other videos! ♥️
This animated movie is Pixar's greatest film ever. Great reaction! 👍🏿
well the first 15 minutes of it.....
I remember watching this movie with my Grandpa a while ago, it's always a good time
Anyway I think my favorite Pixar movie is a tie between Toy Story 2 and Incredibles, closely followed by Finding Nemo and Monsters Inc
Oh I can’t even imagine having be able to watch with one of my grandparents. Not sure my emotions could handle it! But would also give anything to do so!!
lol you two are the best. This movie is a personal favorite, watched it growing up so I related to Russel, and now as I enter adulthood the movie opener hits pretty hard. Anyway, always a blast to see what you guys think of a movie.
Bailey
Appreciate you!!
I love that you two watched this!!! 🥰 Such a sweet story.
It was sooo good!
I think the best description of this movie us it is absolutely wonderful. I saw it in the theatre with my mother and an old friend and the experience was incredible.
Yes!!!
Oh wow. Been a min since I've stopped by your channel, your setup has improved so much brother 😮
That scene at the start where the two kids meet. That reminds me of a joke. I have not spoken to my wife for the last seven years. I just don't like interrupting her.

'...the Ellie Badge...'
😢😢😢
What an amazing movie!!
instantly subscribed, really loved your genuine reactions :)
Thank you so much!!
I love watching your reactions for pixar/Disney movies! ❤💙... And don't worry about crying over animation movies it happens to me a lot and even if I have watched the movie and when I see Stephanie or you Devin cry it hits me also 😭😭 nothing wrong about that 😂
Thank you!!
@@snackandreact you're welcome
I was this movie in 3D in the theaters, and when they were fighting on top of the blimp, I was gripping the floor with my toes so that I would not fall off.
You a sociopath if you don't cry in the first 10 minutes.
Elly didn't lose a baby. She found out she can't have babies.
I guess it's a gray area. You don't need to be pregnant to prepare to have a child. Back when people had morals, they prepared for children long before they got pregnant. Which is the time period that this movie was set in.
That's the 2nd reaction channel I see having this interpretation, Idk why, it seemed pretty obvious to me, even as a kid.
Oh ok thanks for clarifying! I think it’s a fairly gray area there. They see a baby in the cloud, decorate a nursery and show them upset at the doctors office. Either way, devastating to endure.
I mean I can see how they would think she lost the baby but I know she just couldn't have any which is also sad
They should just adopt some kids
@@axelgonzalez9958 IKR?!
You guys didn't shed a tear. You've kind of failed the humanity test.
She wrote that in the hospital. Wow
One of my favorites! Cheers! 🍻
It is such a great movie!! Cheers!!
i just realized the reason he had so many balloons was because he worked at the zoo
Most of the talk is about the start of the movie but the entire movie is really good too. The action scenes are very intense to me because I have a fear for heights and a bit for small spaces. It was really cool
I'm only just noticing that when they first land in paradise falls stuck out of the house Russell doesn't have his bag, he left it in the house. But after failing to climb up and having to drag the house around he suddenly has his bag again.
I believe carls end goal in the beginning after taking the house to paradise falls was to just die… 😢

Great reaction to a great movie!
The slight difference is that this is Pixar not Disney. DISNEY just owns them
bad enough
@@Metzwerg74 I don't get what you mean by bad enough
@@tristanrcox bad enough, that pixar is owned by di$ney....
Please consider reacting to "Gargoyles the awaking" - it's 90s Disney animated movie that continued into a tv series.
agreed...
Gargoyles is the best disney tv cartoon ever
Love this movie! My top 5...
Incredibles 2
Incredibles
Toy Story 2
Up
Inside Out
Thanks!!
only inside out, woul make it to my list.... as threre are many better...
52:38 BIING!😂
Your girlfriend might enjoy the movie Life is Beautiful if she likes movies about love and life. It’s sad but an amazing movie.
Thanks for the recommendation!
13:15 BOOMP!😂
Up is my fav Disney movie thing becaz it my childhood
Watched it in the movie theater... When it was new
Hulked out of that shirt
🤣 he usually is!!
I cry every time!!😢
Me toooooo!!!
My favorite Pixar is The Incredibles.
I love Russel 🤣
He’s hilarious!!
There's a theory that Russel is Mr Fredriksons guide angle and that paradise falls is heaven. And that he died.
The guy keeps talking at the tear jerking moments. He needs to learn how to just shut up and feel the moment.
Yes I’m working on that with him! 😩😂
this movie is full of references to the classic 1925 adventure film "The Lost World"
Muntz is in his 90’s while Mr. Fredrickson is in his late 70’s.
Everyone thinks Ellie lost their baby. But the story is She was told she could not give birth. Disneyco. revealed the story when people were confused.
The way they told it is confusing. Most people don’t do a nursery first
@@snackandreact I know. But that is what I read. But its Disney, so who knows. It would hardly be the first plot hole they created.
Yes for sure! Appreciate it!
7:13 Talk about a bitter blow. The idea of unable to have your own child, that’s sad.
Sadly we’re the last generation that went to libraries.
I bring my kids to the library!
Most see me as the bitter lady. Im just carl and I want my ellie back😢❤
Hugs 🤗
@@snackandreact 🤗
I always thought it was a miscarriage. Idk anyone who starts making a nursery before knowing they have a baby on the way
Same 🤷🏻♀️
@@snackandreact glad I'm not the only one lol
in toy stroy 3 there is a poswhat's the movet cared form elile and carl form up it even has there address
U guys didnt cry in the beginning..yall got no hearts i dont trust yall
sometimes crying is normal. This is one of those times. If ya don't cry, that's a hard red flag
those first minute, are a pinacle of storytelling.....
US The Movie
have you seen "Anastasia "(1997)?
People keep saying the beginning but the entire movie bro😢
theyve seen it before
I saw it before, as stated in the intro.
Please watch “The Good Dinosaur” if y’all haven’t 😭😭
Aww that’s such a nice movie. I loved it honestly. I remember watching it when it came out in theatres but no one was there but a couple other people. But I got a good seat!
Noo fucking way..... I lived in place called shady oaks and my grandparents live there
🤣
I think it is interesting that Pixar usually has a major child character, and a major adult character. This way, the parents can also have good time watching the movie, because they can relate to it too.
My favorite Pixar movie is toy story and a bug's life, please react to those movies if you haven't already 😊 please
They kind of hint at why they couldn't have kids of their own. Because of his age when this movie is taking place, their home must've been built before the 40's, meaning the house was painted with lead paint, which might've been what caused it.
First of all girl should be not be a bossil and second how could you marry the older woman it's not good
One can tell alot about someone character in the fist 10 min of up. If you dont atleast go damn.....
You are not human.
This movie should've stopped after he flew away with his house. Everything after that is pure nonsense with too many pointless sub-plots: the kid, the bird, the dogs, the villain... It feels so out of place and unfocused.
Imagine watching Shawshank Redemption and right in the middle of the film, the prison gets attacked by vampires but then Rob Schneider lands his UFO just in time to teach Tim Robbins and Freeman the art of pyromancy, and...
Yeah, this movie is a mess and I really don't get it.
Never thought of it like that 😂
correct... but the first 15 minutes are legend....
Jeez Pronatalist.
Sure this story is all over the place but the main focus was that he finally let go of his house.
