This category has been surprisingly competitive lol. The first strat was Redguard with Adrenaline Rush to clip through the left side of the gate, void warp into Valen's cell and power attack him (normal punches don't kill him for some reason.) Then the strat became using female high elf's speed to clip through the wall to the right of the gate with a more precisely timed power attack. Now we have this new strat. I wonder what's next lol.
I didn't even think about that haha Valen only is able to say "My, my, you're..." and by that point the Nord has already phased through the gate and destroyed him.
The idea of a guy breaking space and time to teleport through a door just to grab you and freeze you to death by simply touching you is hilarious and also slightly horrifying.
What I want to know is, in a game riddled with essential NPCs, why is Valen Dreth NOT one of them? Yeah you kill him later on in the DB quest chain, but I'm fairly certain that's a copy, not the same NPC you see at the start.
Yeah killing this Valen Dreth doesn't help in DB, you're right that it is a completely different copy of him lol. His death is completely inconsequential so maybe that's why they didn't bother flagging him essential.
Any chance you need to explain this new punch clip as in what are the possibilities and when will it not work, would you make a vid out of it or is it not that complicated?

This copy of Valen Dreth is actually a completely different one than the one that appears during Dark Brotherhood, so nothing you do to this one affects the questline.

So does this break the dark brotherhood questline or does this let you skip all the guards when you sneak back in?
