- CreationSpace sent me an early sample of their new pocket E-screwdriver. This Kickstarter product will be available to buy from May 2023. They claim this is the most powerful pocket e-Screwdriver so I decided to put it through it's paces and see how well it works.

I have the wowstick...It's ok. I purchased the Miniware ES15 screwdriver, I thought it would be an occasional use screwdriver but, it has become my first pickup for about everything. Absolutely love it!... I do see the advantages of the drill chuck with this new one.

I have the wowstick. It's on the anemic side but is good for not over tightening screws (and tearing out screw mounts in older hardware)
I wonder if this uses a standard 18650 or 21700. The current fashion is to go fully disposable with non replaceable batteries in most things. This is good for unscrupulous manufacturers but less attractive for end users. Quite obviously, you might not want to wait for it to charge in the middle of using it.

i have some thing of the sort a "Wow stick" very usefull i use it every day, ive arthurightus "sorry spelling" and it saves the day.

Those Y-shaped bits are usually referred to as Tri-Wing.
I have looked at a few different versions of these drivers lately with a view to buy one to save my old hands and there are a couple of things worth pointing out, the main use of this is going to be repair jobs involving a lot of screws, laptops etc. I see a few people obsessed with torque and it seems to me that is one of the less important things to look for in a tool like this, you aren't going to be loosening lug nuts on your car with it.
For me the most important things would be battery life, comfort, grip and the quality of the magnetic bit holder. The drill attachment on this one seems like an odd idea, I can't think of many use cases for it, maybe to quickly clear a hole or something, but I would imagine anything more than that would just eat the battery.
Funny story from back in the day regarding those triangular plastic spudgers, I used to work repairing Samsung phones back when slide phones were the latest and greatest. The place I worked had lots of Eastern European workers with varying levels of English language skills. A new batch of spudgers came in and one of the supervisors walked around the office offering everybody a "threesome", I don't think he ever lived that one down!
Would have been nice to see a grinder for shaving down metal on usb connectors or solder mask I guess could find some somewhere
@@tezraym I think you would be better off investing in something like a Dremel for things like that, something else on my to-buy list lol.
@@badgerfool1980 I have a Dremel (a genuine one) and I love it. It's one of those things I bought then wondered how I had ever lived without it. Despite that I still really liked the CreationSpace Pro. I also have a kinda affinity for the principle of Kickstarter and crowd funded products 🙂
It seemed quite capable of unscrewing in most cases using the low torque setting. It's comfortable to hold but has a tendency to spin out of you hand unless you keep a good grip on it. The battery life is '300 screws' on one charge, apparently. I do like this tool and will definitely be using it on the channel so in a little while we will know how long it lasts on one charge. The drill is quite nice for working on small electronics projects I think, drilling mounting holes in the pcb or veroboard, that sort of thing. For anything bigger I would probably use my Dremel
@@LearnElectronicsRepair I'm with you on crowd funded projects for sure, it's a great way to help clever people with interesting ideas get off the ground, this certainly looks like a pretty decent offering for sure.
I think there is a risk of falling in to "Jack of all trades master of none" with tools and it's down to the individual and how often you will use it whether to go for something that performs many tasks but not particularly well or one tool that does the job really well.
Rotary tools like the Dremel seem to be the exception from everything I have seen in that they do many things really well lol.
I suggest you also show us the shape of the screw driver. Sometimes, screwdriver can damaged the screw head if not have good shape

If I want a power driver I use a cordless driver. But it ain't going to slip in anyone's pocket. They're way more powerful than power screwdrivers are. I even have a pretty dinky one that's not bad. Still too big to pocket. Little power drivers like this one are faster than a manual screwdriver is though. I've thought about getting a power screwdriver but meh.
I see you have problem when unscrewing, its easier if you use device like regular screwdriver, just to loosen the bolt, then activate it to unscrew fully.
Since it has torque to drill, it has torque to hurt hand also.
I'm still holding out for a cheaper copy of the Miniware ES15 screwdriver. It's the Dr. Who screwdriver we all wanted.
Need sharper drill bits would be better great videos
I wouldn't try building a deck with one But for electronics repair it's a power assist screwdriver.
i'm curious to see how well it performs with a full charge.
I'm keeping it for use on the channel so will hopefully know that in a while

I cant clearly see on your video could you please test if it has autobrake - just use it as normal screwdriver and try screw in big screw and tight. Is it slipping? It is essential feature which is never advertised. I bought Xiaomi one it has no autobrake. Cant use it as normal screwdriver :/
Zack Freedman reviewed this screwdriver as part of a review of junk sent to him. I think his conclusion was it is great as a drill to cut out 3d printed holes and make them better or larger, so that works. The screwdriver part was a bit underwhelming and the shape of the body leads to hand cramps after a while. It was good for say unscrewing a LOT of screws in his testing, but he had to push it a lot to screw in a lot. Still faster than a manual screwdriver and the other escrewdriver he was trying to compare it to couldn't even do it. th-cam.com/video/KwI4XkB2uQg/w-d-xo.html is the video, the review for this product is near the end.
It's a Wowstick with an extra button. Seriously, why kickstarter the clone of something that's been already out for a few years? The only useful addition is the drill bit adapter.
I like the fact it is a small drill, the screw driver part on small screws is just a gimic. With the chuck you could put on a cutting disc, wire brush, grinding wheel etc. making it very handy.
The RPM is way too low to use it with any abrasives. This screwdriver sounds like it is going no faster than 300 RPM to me. To run a small diameter abrasive you have to go 100 times faster than that. Like 30,000 RPM That's how fast Dremels go. At 30K RPM a 1 inch diameter disc as a surface speed at its periphery of 7,853 Surface Feet Per Minute (SFPM) That will do some grinding.
Still expensive I'll wait for a cheaper version to come out, us pensioners need to look after the pennies.
When it comes to tools I can be spendy if I really want something. I've just never found power screwdrivers compelling enough to invest in. I'm either going to use a regular manual screwdriver or if I want power I'm going to go right up to a cordless tool. I escalate quickly. There's no happy middle ground for me.

If I just hear "kgf", my brain switches off. That took only 1 minute 56 seconds.
"kg" is kilo gram. That is MASS. Mass has nothing to do with force, mass is the same all over the whole universum. "kgf" is utter nonsense. There is no such thing as "mass force", that's what the "f" thinks to make it out off. "kgf" would require gravity to make some sense. About 5 decades ago, there was "kp" standing for kilopond, that was the force generated by 1 kg with an acceleration of 9.81 m/s^2 (earth's gravity). But this too was utter nonsens. Force is measured in "Newton" or "N" and that's it. No gravity involved, true in the whole universum. Torque is measured in Nm (newton meter). That is a force of 1 N with a lever of x meters.
BTW: "kgf" is an US-invention. They wanted to get international, but they just screwed it up even more.
When will they ever get the SI (Systeme Internationale) right?
