    We had a Volvo V40 loaner and i got pretty much the same feeling and conclusion as you. You cant get away from the fact that volvos always feel so special in their own way.

    This may be a old platform, but this Volvo structure is very stiff. It feels more solid then most cars riding on brand new platforms. It feels heavy but I like that because it shows how well built and safe Volvos are. Volvo 4 life

    This V60 has gotten a complete redesign for 2019, I’d definitely wait for the new models unless you can get a smoking deal on an older V60

    So many drivers doing that swerve. We need cars to have even better computer control with all of the distractions and cars on the road. One day it will not matter which engine the car has because we will not be able to have much control on how fast or slow you want to go.

    I read somewhere that they purposely offset the sensors in the from due to less false reading. They had issues when it was in the center (or so they claim)

    IMO the start/stop with the t5/8speed is amazingly smooth, I always use it
    in our V40 T5. If you were to have high music, you wouldn't notice it at all since
    there are no vibrations what so ever.
    My dad has a 335d f30 with start stop, and it feels like The Hulk
    is smashing the engine once it starts.

      Same. Very tight construction all through the vehicle. No rattles with or without the stereo playing.

    is there a 5 cilinder v60 cross country? if it is what year?

    • @Eriktheinventor
      @Eriktheinventor 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 2015.5 and the 2016 are the only P3 V60 Cross Country have a proper T5. Like you see in the video, the transmission isn't the smoothest, but I'm a big fan of mine. See @rally_v60 or myself @eriktheinventor for a few 2016s.

    I've owned this gen if Volvo's for years and I don't agree at all that this car inferior to its German counterparts. They are far from perfect themselves.

    this is nice and all, but think you could drive a 2017 S60 T6 R Design (hint: nobody else on the internet has yet, you would be the first)?

    my 2003 Volvo XC 70 has a 2.5 i5 turbo and this 2017 has a 2.0 i4 turbo???? LIKE WHAT?!?!?!?

  • @rickfeng4466
    @rickfeng4466 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    It's a 2.0L 4 cylinder even though it's called a T5.

  • @Towert7
    @Towert7 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    A volvo without a 5cyl isn't a volvo in my book.
    Coming from a 2008 S40, we test drove a 2016 S60 and were disappointed with the transmission. It wasn't as smooth as our older one and we found it did too much gear hunting which we never noticed in our s40.

    Volvo's '60' line is outdated compared to the '90' line. Especially in the interior.

      The V90 is in a higher price range. I see the V60 as a Mercedes C Klasse T Modell competitor and the V90 and an E Klasse T Modell competitor.

    Maybe I'm just old school, but I don't want my car to have an IP address and be able to connect to the internet. I would be afraid of people hacking my car.

    This model is soon to be discontinued. New Chinese owners have dumped the tech and oddities of this model in newer releases. This car is dated.

      The new 2020 Model hits the US Market for orders next month with physical arrivals occurring in July!!!!!
      According to drivers who have gone to Sweden to drive the new model, it far surpass almost any other small to mid-sized car Volvo has made, and is a rightful successor to this car.
      The new 2020 models are BEAUTIFUL, and will no doubt, NOT disappoint.
      Though I will say I do have a soft spot for this car and the older design of the V60 Cross Country. :)
