I wanted to be a Navy SEAL since I was 8 years old. When I started high school, I talked to a Navy recruiter and told them what I wanted to be. They got me in touch with a Former SEAL who trains people who want to do the Special Operations jobs in the Navy (SEAL, EOD, SWCC, etc). I trained with this guy for 4 years, busting my ass nonstop. While other people were partying, I was swimming miles in the ocean, running miles with a 50lb rucksack on, getting "wet and sandy" doing PT on the beach. After graduating High School, I joined the Navy and passed the SEAL PST with flying colors. 5 month in I started having seizures and was kicked out of the Navy... My dreams were *CRUSHED.* That was the only thing I ever wanted to do... Maybe in another lifetime :/

I had the opportunity to sit around with a bunch of guys who were deployed during the Afghanistan war and just sit and listen. When guys like this get together they open up to each other so much more than with a guy on the street. I was a "fly on the wall" for an evening with 4 guys who were in Fallujah / Baghdad listening to them just talk about what they did, saw, the camaraderie with these guys was jaw dropping. I could have sat there for days...silent and in awe struck. Man some of the stories were hilarious, some brought tears but man what an awesome experience.
All ima say is the government sends these people to fight, these people all have family friends, and things they wanna experience. That's there own right. Where the government goes wrong. Is dropping fucking bombs onto civilians, and pushing across the world. They keep there power as close as possible to enemy nations. The USA is in a fucking whirlwind right now. Everything is going wrong. So why do you think you can fix other nations issues when we cant fucking fix the issues going on in our country. Love and peace is what achieves resolution. The new wave of people are rising. Ones that dont have bias or racism. If we continue to spread this meaning we can work together. Work through your own mind find the place that makes u calm and bring you're best everywhere u go

The constant high praise from men like these for Marines speaks volumes. As an Army MP, one of my best days during my deployment was when a Marine Gunny told me that he wished he had a whole platoon of me. Thanks, Gunny. That meant a lot.

Learning technique or tactics is always useful and entertaining; however, there is tons of that stuff out there and it's impossible to film a video on those topics that are 100 percent unique. Set up a camera press record and now you have a video that is completely unique, there is not another video on the internet that is the same. Being able to virtually pull up a seat around the fire and listen to you guys shoot the shit is rad. I love these videos and I know they are some of the easier videos to make that don't require tons of prep or research. As many of these videos that you put out, I will always be watching!

I couldn’t stop smiling listening to these guys cause all of my own experiences came flooding back. I was in the British Army for 13 years but was medically discharged after having my spine shattered and crushed and I miss my time every single day of my life. It rips me apart talking to my buddies from back in the day because I want to be back there and would do anything. Mind you apart from my spine being held together metal, At 47 I am too old to go back, but the best days of my life and the friends like I couldn’t even wish for.

I read Marcus' Book because Chris Kyle said to in his book. Before this vid, the only time I've seen Marcus was in a motivational speech vid on youtube. You talked about"the access" we have nowadays. I never served. I regret it now. I wanted to be a comedian and have been ever since. Because of "the access" that people like me have, I can learn an incredible amount of valuable things, not just skills, but determination, integrity, maturity. Thank you for your Service and for this opportunity.

I met Markus in Hawai'i at the MCX in Kaneohe Bay. I told him, "It's an honor to meet you, and just to let you know... I am nervous to be around you." He replied: "No way man, I am nervous.. you are a Marine!" we both laughed and hugged. He then signed my 8 point cover and took a photo together.

Even when things sucked and we were in a bad way, my brother Hack always had a joke that would lighten things up, and if you can laugh while your either hurting and in pain or you got zips going by your head then you can conquer anything in your "normal" life.
