Mike, I would just like to say that as a New person working in the world of design. Worked in the field as a plumber/pipefitter for 17yrs and have decided to move into the VCD department of the company that I am working for. Your videos are amazing, very easy to listen to and learn from. I have spent many hours watching your videos and learning from your content. Just wanted to say thank you for your page and material.
Welcome to the Virtual side of the community. I too spent many years (25+) on the design side as a practicing Architect (and I'm still registered).. .but then I flipped over to the BIM Management and VDC side and absolutely love it. Probably love it because I understand the industry and what we are trying to accomplish.. and we use Revit as a tool to get us there.
During my internship in Architectural firm in Uganda, i couldn't go further to do working detailed drawings except just modelling any child can do with clay. 🤣However, what makes a better draft man is the ability to produce readable detailed drawings. working with scope boxes and sections boxes, got unleashed for me in your tutorial. Thanks a lot.
Mike ... #1 fan here....Looking for facia and shingle mold on complex roof. I asked a few times now... maybe it doesn't work good? Maybe I need to merge geometry? Thanks man!!!
Send me an image or something that I can use to get a full idea of what you need. My email address is on my website! I do have a video about fascia.. but it must not cover your specific need!!! :)
Great teachings. Thanks so much. Could you show how to create an isometric view, of an interior wall showing the studs; so I can represent my waterlines inside? I am a New Revit user Revit shows me that walls, like two parallel gypsum panels; filled with liquid wood.
Hahaha... Revit does show the two parallel gypboard panels and it's filled with liquid wood. Never heard it explained that way, but YES.. you are correct. Revit shows the area where the studs 'would be' if they were there. Bogus, I know! The best way to do what you are suggesting is to make studs as a separate family and place them in the walls. Sad how Autodesk doesn't give us any 'stud' options.
Great tip ! Video a bit long, but hey, you're doing a great job. For multiple future renovations you could name the future phases with the relevant project number.
Hi Mike...nice way to explain such things...could you pls do a video on working in Revit Central model in Cloud by two or three agencies....like Xref in cad....and thanks for the videos... 💕
Dear Sir i have learned Revit by watching your videos.. So I want to say Thank you... May God bless you with all the happiness...
Makes me feel like a pro from what I've been learning from your videos. Thanks Mike
You must be a very good teacher...
Thank you

This is great 👍 thanks Mike !...greetings from Christchurch New Zealand 🇳🇿
New Zealand!!! That’s great! I’ve heard your country is sooo beautiful. I’ll have to visit someday!
Definitely the most elaborative video on this topic. Was struggling a lot with these concepts and thanks for making it easier to understand. :)

Thanks Mike, an other fanthhhhhastic tip. From Argentina always follows.
Thank you Mike... as usual ....you are the man...keep sharing.....
Hi Mike!
This video shows a cool way to create internal perspective view. Look at 6min 13s.

Great video thank you again.can you also make a video about aligning various revit models in Navisworks
I don’t use Navisworks too much since I line everything up in BIM360 instead, but I can look into making a video! Navisworks is very powerful.
Great teachings. Thanks so much.

Can you change the colour of the scope boxes to make them easier to find and tell them apart ?
Great Work. Thank you for doing that, very fun.

Thank you for video, Mike. Are you talking about section box or selection box?
Section box... I will try to enunciate better next time... Thanks for the reminder to speak more clearly.. I hope this helps.
so how can we use Scope Box effectively for 3D views then? Can we not find a workaround to adjusting the height of scopeboxes in 3D views?
dear Mike, can we delete scope box without any plugin apps?
what if scope box is greyed out in a plan view?
This is great 👍
As always... Great tips
Outstanding video, thank You!
how to adjust the grid and level extents from scope box
You still have grips for the grids and the levels when using a Scope Box. I guess I don't understand the question. :/
Hello Mike , do you know of any app that can Atomize office fitout layouts in revit
I wish. I think everyone would like to see 'possibilities' and then pick one.
GREETING FROM MEXICO! VERY USEFUL
the icon in Modify is called selection Box not section Box.
Thannnnk you
In properties I see Section box. On the Ribon when you click command I see Selection box but you pronouns Section box. Do you mean that's same thing?
I must have been talking too fast... sorry. :)
Selection Box - Section Box - Scop Box
