    Hi Mike! I suggested for you about "keynotes". And it was a really amazing video. It was the first video relating keynotes with phases that i saw. Thanks a lot!

    Hey Mike, I'm Alex. If you can make a detail video about different Sheets creations required for Architecture & Structure Projects with required annotations, it'll be a great help!
    Also i wish to learn about Quality Assessment & Control in BIM from you.
    Thank you for making such amazing content! You are one of the best mentors i have met in the industry!

    Hi Mike, I’m your latest fan! I love this video and shoutout to the individual who requested for you to do this tutorial. I have some questions after watching this video.
    1. When we show a demolition and renovation plan on a sheet, we differentiate the keynote using a diamond shape for demo and a square of the renovation plan. Can the these be created to differentiate the keynote symbols?
    2. Our firm does not show a “D”1 to identify it as a demo note. Just a “1”. Is there another way to filter this?
    3. This question doesn’t apply to this video, but I’ve been meaning to ask you this. Is there a way to plot the revision cloud and delta as red and everything else black? One caveat is that we don’t have to change the colors of the MEP elements (yes, i work on the dark side, HAHA)

    Mike, you are amazing. I learn and laugh with you at the same time. Keep going man. Fantastic work. Hey, can you make a video of this very same topic but keynoting detail items? I wonder what would be your advice for adding keynotes to standard details.

    Thanks for the video on this. I do like this method, but people in my office thinks it’s too difficult. I’m not sure why. It’s a very good way to do them. Also, it’s easier if you do this in Excel.

      Lot's of people don't like to use Keynotes. But if they only make a few, they will see that it is quite easy.

    Is there a way to have the key note show the box on the sheet within the legend on the sheet?

    Hi , have a doubt regarding text height .. as in autodesk they mentioned text height (annotation element) is relative to scale of view ,it should work(maximise & minimise) bassed on scale vary but for some scales its not working like that...for example text height is 2.5mm for scale 1:50 &1:25 it will work nice but for 1:100 & 1:200 text look bigger in view ,so any option is there to set same text height for any scale ?

    Hi Mike, is it possible to put a shape (circle or hexagon) in the keynote key value?

    • @miketaylor8211
      @miketaylor8211  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unfortunately not... I've tried different ways of doing this like adding an IMAGE, but it's not successful. I usually place an example of the shape up at the TOP of the schedule... so people will know which shape (circle or hexagon) goes with this particular schedule.

    Hi. We are facing some problems regarding to change Survey level after creating building model. How to manage NSD level into the existing building model. Pls advise or request a video for that

    • @miketaylor8211
      @miketaylor8211  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      What I have had to do in the past is: Select all the 'levels' and move them to the correct location. That will take ALL the geometry with it and not the survey point.

    Isn't it more error-proof to use Keynotes Numbering by Sheet rather than filtering keynotes? I understand if we want to have Demo Keynotes Legend with all keys. But what if we have hundreds of unused ones.

    • @mikedsjr
      @mikedsjr 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Any unused keynotes will not show on the legend. Also, if you happen to remove a all keynotes on the plan of a note, say D2, your keynote legend will have D2 in it. It will have D3 after D1.

    • @miketaylor8211
      @miketaylor8211  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree with Michael Schirmer's comment. Also... most companies create a NEW list of Keynotes per project. It may sound smart and fast to make one gigantic one for all projects, but it tends to get too big. So a new shorter one specific to the project is a better way to go about it. Inmyhumbleopinion.

    Key notes are good but kind of complicated and hard to remember all the steps. Revit programmers should try to make things easier for most of the drafters who are not very intelligent and brainy!

      I agree.... keynotes are amazing, but they are definitely complicated. Hang in there, once you get the hang of it you will look back and say... Oh.. that was easy!!!
