Mine does too but I thought if you're actually pressing the button for a few seconds instead of just quickly pressing it that it would work, but nope it doesn't matter how long you press the button it's going to continue cooking for 2 minutes lol
But why would you want to stop it from beeping? Lol I'm confused. I'm trying to figure out if my new one has a setting where I can make it do the reminder beep thing because I'm always forgetting I even put something in it and I could swear on the box it said something about being able to shut off that beeping if you want but not the regular beeping just when it initially finishes heating your food. And we've been using the new one for several months now and I finally remembered to sit down and look for the instructions on how to do that in the manual and there is no mention of even being able to turn it on. So weird.

Mine too. It's so frustrating because I've found countless videos on how to silence your microwave and they all show the same thing. Nothing different in any of them.
Different microwaves have different buttons, but some microwaves don't have an option to mute

If you have Express Cook, and pressing 2 starts the microwave, try holding either the 8 or 0 buttons.
