    I'm watching this video 4 years later but just wanted to say thank you so much for making this video! I have a 2018 model HP All-in-One and now 6 years later the 1 TB Seagate HDD that came with it just slowed to an absolute crawl. I tried reinstalling the OS several times over the years but nothing would fix it from just sitting there churning the hard drive while taking, no joke, anywhere from 60 seconds to 4 minutes just to open the browser. I had no idea how to take this thing apart but thanks to your video I had the courage to attempt it in order to swap the HDD for a fast SSD. Everything went smoothly even if it was challenging to pop out all those tabs on the white cover and around the screen. I got the drive swapped out, everything put back together and the computer is working great now, browser pops open almost immediately. Thanks again!

    Thank you so much for this video! This is the only one that really goes in depth regarding how to take the LCD cover off; good thing I didn't attempt before watching this, I had no idea there were tabs all around it that needed to be pryed apart first.
    Managed to get all the components exposed, so we'll be trying to upgrade the RAM when the new sticks arrive (it only had 8GB) :)

      Coming back to this video 2 years later and to my own comment lol. It was a success btw, but now we're doing the big one (swapping the HDD for a snappy new SSD). This video is still invaluable information on taking it all apart, thanks again!

    I tried opening mine up today to check if the HP Support website was correct about it having a couple of M.2 slots, but couldn't quite find all the clips around the screen. I could see the ones at the top and I'm pretty I sure I got them all un-clipped, but when I looked into the gaps on the left and right, I didn't see anything in there. I will try again some other time, but today I just gave up and put it back together because I didn't want to accidentally break the screen (especially since I really need it working right now to finish some online schoolwork before my school year ends next week!) I got it all assembled again and thankfully it still works perfectly, thanks for the great tutorial!

    When you pull out the monitor cable please do not pull on it like he did. Thw white peice of the connection on the motherboard is a clip. Please gentle pop that clip up. And the ribbon cable with smoothly pull out with no resistance. This will keep Pins on ribbon cable from being damaged. Other then that this is a GREAT tutorial.

      Ooh that sounds really nice, I might try that with mine someday, do you know which one it was? Mine says 24-f1047c on the box, maybe I will be able to do the same if it's the same model.

    • @DuckInGameStop
      @DuckInGameStop 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@fbnmndz I checked the specs for mine on the HP Support website and it appears to have 2 M.2 slots, it doesn't specify whether they're NVME or SATA though. Plus I couldn't find a official replacement SSD from HP on their PartSurfer service, (found some RAM and was planning to get that, but then it said it was unavailable or something) so I guess I'll have to figure out somewhere else to buy an SSD (and/or some RAM) from... Tried commenting on a SSD replacement TH-cam tutorial by the official HP Support channel asking them where I could find one, and my comment just got deleted instantly. I'm thinking it might be more convenient to just replace this computer with a real gaming PC, and NOT an HP one... (I don't know if they even make gaming PCs, but I know I won't be getting one after this experience)

    Look up the part number of the LCD, you might be able to find a replacement cheap enough to be worth it. Or look up the datasheet and find out what signal it uses, then replace the LCD with any LCD of the same resolution that accepts the same signals.
    If nothing else, turn it into a home server.

    So I have one of these HP all in one with a busted screen as well. Is it possible to take out all of guts of the computer and install it in a tower for use with a reg monitor system? The computers are going for $200 used so it doesn't make sense to pay $100+ for just a screen that I'll probably bust during install. Is that possible to do? Thanks for your time

I have issues will falling asleep if I’m not doing something that will keep me from falling asleep, but anyway I had head butted mine twice and knocked it off the cabinet it sets on at least 5 times. Well on the 2nd or 3rd time down I cracked the lover corner with a spot that looks like it was struck by a hammer and there are a few sprier web veins, hardly in the way and the thing still ran correctly. Well the other day on it’s last fall and a hit taken in the upper right corner but a little toward the center which also has a few veins off of it. This time it also knocked the on/off switch popped out, and the thing is still running!!! My last one ended up with hard drive issues which we got a new hard drive for. That things were

    I was moving furniture around and I had my PC all in one from HP and all the sudden it slipped and fell on the floor about 2 1/2 feet down. It fell in his back and it’s open and then a cable came off, so I don’t what is the cable for, know I’m looking for videos and how to disassemble my specific model computer. I bought it on QVC online on those dumb infomercials channels and I paid off in a monthly basis and it’s paid off. I had it for probably five years now and it’s been working great ever since till two days ago, it fell off my freaking desk on his back the screen did not crack greatfull, and also since some six months after I bought it, the mouse or the touchscreen started to scramble to the corners and not working so I looked it up and I found how to turn it off and I’ve been using it like that ever since. Can that be replaced? please let me know. Give me more details about this particular PC. Thank you. My computer model is a all in one HP. TCP-Q032-24
