I have a new al in one HP computer. I am sure mine will be a little different. I was a Tech for many companies, including Microsoft. I wish I was still working there. They sold us any OS for $35. And top steak with tons of french fries for $2.50. Bill Gates sure took car of us. Anyways, I am doing to open mine and upgrade the memory. I will add an additional memory card. And see if i have a spot to mount an SSD drive. This was an Awesome video. Thank you for the video.

Doug, I often use an old credit card and slide it along the edges. This will release the clips quite easily often times. I have several spudger tools as well but the cc method works well often once you get it started with a spudger tool. FIY.

Mine is weird. I got the lights blinking when the power cord is plugged but the fan is not moving it's dead, just the light is on. Then when i unplugged the cord, it turns on for a couple of seconds just in the welcome Windows part then it turns off again.

I hate the way they design these. I love the idea of a all in one to save space but working on them is hard. I had a long story about a Dell Laptop. Long story short I had it apart and was unable to get it to snap back. Anyway I would love to see a live stream on repairing the other one.

I have a warrenty on my hp all in one and i need to send it in to be repaired but i would like to know what is going on with it or have an idea. So the other week it was running rfine and i went to church and came back home my hp all in one was no longer powered one i turned it back on and the back light lit up for maybe fifteen seconds and shut back off, I tried moving it to anthor power outlet same thing. I found a third outlet and had it plugged in and it worked for maybe an hour and then powerd back off and i was having the same issue with it powering on for fifteen seconds and then dying. I read it might be something on the mother board can anyone offer any insight on this problem.

My conclusion would be the motherboard has gone bad. One of my active viewers recently had a friend who does motherboard repairs replace a few components soldered on the motherboard that were showing overly hot via a thermal sensor and successfully revived the computer.
Hey Doug! My HP AIO has crashed 18 times already this year! This pc was made in May 2022 and was purchased in August 2022 from Best Buy. It can crash whenever I’m on Google Chrome, (Whole PC Locks Up! I have to push the shut down button to turn off my pc! Same thing happened on Edge Browser too. I’ve tested the Memory, No Problems! And reinstalling the OS does not do anything. All Hardware Diagnostic tests passed. Idk what causes this issue? Very Mysterious! No Viruses or Malware! I really don’t want to take it to the Geek Squad!

I’m sorry I didn’t make it clearer. 1.) This Pc I guess was manufactured in May 2022. I can be on certain websites and sometimes it happens. I did a TOTAL RESET back in October 2022 with OK yes I did it while in the Recovery settings in Windows 11 and clicked on the permanent reset by scratch. So everything on my Hard Drive was deleted. It’s still under warranty until August 2023. I would tell the Geek Squad I had already reinstalled the OS from scratch.

@@LWTdb Ok when the computer locks up, none of the keyboard buttons work sadly. Not even the Caps Lock or the Number Lock Button. Nothing! Not even Task Manager or my wireless mouse. The keyboard is wireless as well but performs just fine. When the pc does freeze I don’t have a lot of stuff running in the background. I mean I have a USB Hub that always plugged in and it has a USB Flash Drive plugged in along with an External Cd-Rw Drive and my USB External Speakers. So they are plugged all the time. Once in a while the USB Flash Drive disconnects and I just have to take it out gently and then plug it back in and it connects again. When the computer locks up, yes there is a power button on the back of the HP All-In-One and I have to press that (Because that’s the only thing that works at the time) down to hold it turn off the computer. Doug, the other day when my pc crashed again THIS TIME I FINALLY got a Blue Error Screen! Actually my Internet had gone down as well because of a outage in the area. I’ll be honest with you! I was relieved to see a Blue Screen for once! I mean of course I’m not really happy, But the Blue Screen in Windows is much friendlier looking then in the past blue screens. Doug, All I know is I NEVER had a problem with Windows 7 back in 2013. It was AWESOME!! No Crashes ever on Windows 7 for me. And now it’s permanently discontinued! 😡 It NEVER FROZE ONCE! And I had 3GB of Memory on it because I was running Vista before I upgraded to Windows 7. Windows 8.1 was ok too along with Windows 10. BTW my BIOS UEFI is up to date! Maybe I’ll try to turn off the Hardware Acceleration Mode in Chrome like somebody said in the live comments. Maybe it will or won’t help. And I didn’t at first think it would happen on Edge But it did! What’s a Mother to do? Lol 😂

For future reference, if you pull the fan, you can access the really small written words on how to reset cmos. If I remember correctly, it’s 3-4

Just curious why you didn't test the CMOS battery since you had it out anyway.

The computer should be able to turn on and access Bios setup without an SSD or hard drive.
