Hi from Thailand. My ride is a DC2 maxed out NA setup. Tip from me is to seam weld everything head to toe. and a full cage. Chassis done, move onto suspension works. I use a Mugen setup with a MUGEN FRONT LOWER CONTROL ARM setup and Function 7 rear Lower Control arm. The Mugen front control arm was straight out of the race series my shop had in the back. Reduce as much weight as possible but keep it balanced with the same ratio front to rear. I use carbon fiber. Everything from Roof to fenders and hood and lips to bumpers and doors. Glass is heavy so lexan. Engine just went through TODA cams C2 set and valve trains and springs Pistons CP or Weisco. Over bore is great if your block is beefy. I go with 85 mm pistons. Transmission really made a difference with a 4.929 final ratio with the TYPE R gears. Sure you lose top speed, but acceleration is boosted in all gears. Brakes, are important so try Spoon Monoblocks up front and switch in the DC5 R rear calipers. Wheels go with some Mugen or Spoon for light weight or until they make Carbon rims in 16s. That's my ride. Can also check it out in Honda Tuning Feature a few years back or at my FB page Lertsiri Boonmee
Owned by Integra for like 6 months and I loved it. Only regret is that I wish I drove it more. Unfortunately it got stolen, but I’ll definitely owned multiple in life time. Probably gonna buy one early-mid next year
@@IchiBeemoi taped an air tag inside the driver air vent of mine lol. but like deep-ish in it where you cant see it. black tape too so it wasnt visible at all. completely forgot about it til the new owner said he was getting a notification about an air tag in the car. if you also set it off so it would alarm it echo'd throughout the car so you couldnt find it. was my like 5th integra but im on MR2s right now
the integra is so much fun in the canyon. i have a 95 with 16 by 8 wheels, nitto neo gens, k tuned suspension, cat back exhaust and a bucket seat its a fun car and i got it for only $600
Even if I don’t have a manual/coupe with speeed, I love my automatic sedan integra:) - Even semi stock, it still gets people to look at it , and even if it didn’t the car is just fun to drive, each time you push that gas pedal, turn or go in some tight corners it feels great
Facts bro, I B20 swapped my LS lol its fine for me. More torque, still automatic. The b18 was smoking too much and couldn't pass emissions :c so I bought the engine and another auto transmission from HMO
I was reminded again last weekend how much of a car guy and HondaHead I really am. I’ve owned my 94 GSR for 23 years and have put over 300k miles on it. Currently at 390k miles all original drivetrain. Took it to Classic Hondas on the Dragon, and Tail of the Dragon, over 1,200 miles, zero issues, tons of VTEC action, and nearly 35 mpg highway. It was my only car for 18 years. I have other cars now including a NB Miata, but damn I still love my GSR. One day it will get the full respray and restoration it deserves.
I miss my integra, man. Had it built to my exact liking before it got stolen around this time last year :/ been tryna leave it in the past, felt like I’d lost a part of myself but seeing this video feels good. I’ll do it again someday, it’ll be even better 💭
To me.... It's crazy how.. rare it is to see them.. Always liked them.. But from... Everywhere to now.. a rare sighting... Is almost unbelievable.. Cheers from Orange County California...
Only makes sense to have a manual integra but I actually had my steering wheel off at the time too. They had to have had their eyes on my car for a while 😪 they couldn’t have driven it away, must’ve got it onto a truck somehow
Still love my Integra GSR aero kit I have the Optional OEM Kit it's the cleanest kit imo. Currently building a 97 LS for the winter season to K Swap. So I'll have a B and K
Nearly have my dc4 back on the road! Owned it for over 10 years and never skipped a beat 👌🏻 I believe mine is a gs but the guy I brought it off swapped just about everything over from a vtir.
Also, for my intake, I kept the stock intake tubing and box, I just cut out the resonator chamber and kept the black tubing from that to scoop air from under the fender.
I’m about to trade my truck for a GSR. I’m genuinely so lucky with this, the GSR specifically has been my dream car since i was in 8th grade, 5 years later I’m getting one. I’m gonna love this thing so much. And to any worried people reading this don’t worry, she’s gonna be a clean ass build
The R's weren't seam welded, that's been repeated so often it became an 'internet fact', but nope. They did get thicker steel pressings in a couple of areas like the shock towers and extra spot welds in a few places and extra bracing. Upgrades? _The very first thing_ I would install is a limited slip diff. Totally transforms the car(and any other FWD). Second thing I would do is replace all your bushes. These cars have more than a botanical garden and after 20+ years they're almost certainly buggered. I would avoid poly in general and go OEM(or spoon/mugen if you've got deep pockets, or hardrace which are cheaper and very good), but especially in the rear, as Honda patented a design to passively increase toe in to stabilise the car under braking/cornering, which is one reason why they're so good in the twisties. Polys would take that away. Fresh bushes will also transform the car. Then I'd be looking at intakes/exhausts, (actual)cold air intakes. You can actually do a fairly good DIY job using the original air filter housing and some PVC pipe run down to the bumper area. I wouldn't go nuts on spring rates, 8kg in the front, 6kg in the rear sorta thing. That's for more daily driving/more like the original R setup, only more. Thicker anti roll(sway) bars make a difference too, either third party or used JDM ones if you can find some, JDM 98spec on are the thickest. Agree on the 15's. 16's are cool, but far fewer tyre choices and if your roads are any way crappy not a good bet. it's one reason why non JDM Integras stayed with 15's(very smooth roads in Japan). Though for some odd reason USDM(and Canada) R's got JDM Civic Type R wheels. Only go 16's if you intend running upgraded brake calipers like Spoon as 15's won't clear them.
I thought that the headlight lenses were separate from each other when I was a kid. That’s what drew me to Integras in the first place. Still love them.
As a 17yr old owning an integra the platform is good esp if your on a budget for a build you want example is building a track/street build parts are everywhere but every year please keep in mind that parts and these cars do go up in prices rather it’s beat up or not
AFTER having owned a variety of Integra trims of both early to late nineties, including a type-s rsx. My favorite will always be the 93 special edition with its dark Hunter green paint that from a far looked black. Yes stock it lacked alot of power. Though looked clean and amazing. Cable clutch allowed you to feel every shift better then a hydrologic.
This integra experience is a slippery slope. I got a 5-speed GS a year and a half ago and next thing I know, I’ve got a spare donor integra for it and now I have a 3rd integra GSR that’s sucking up funds. Naturally aspirated with new suspension, intake, exhaust, clutch, flywheel, motor mounts, timing belt, water pump, AC, and power steering. Oh new seals across the board. Under the hood looks great, body looks like a hooptie 😂 Very enjoyable driving experience.

I knew we had something in common, the typeR is on my bucket car list. I would help someone kick a bucket for one…..nah. Yeah. Side note: exhaust is all about the resonators and type of materials used to make the piping. Heavy gauge tube, in stainless, with proper resonators and high flow cat is the business for a daily. Rods, bearings for rods and mains, buy thrust bearings too, springs and retainers for valves, and cams. NA school out.
