This is what allowed him the ability to have Cavill wear the black suit as originally intended, without the need for Cavill to come back for any additional 2020 reshoots (especially important due to Covid lockdown).

@@TheUltimateWriterNZ not really. Bad jokes are bad. This one and the “my second favorite chair” bit from Flash was kinda dumb. I hated Joss’ humor too. It was at the expense of Wonder Woman like “hurr hurr beautiful woman meets awkward man funny heehee”

It shows how two people can view a film completely differently and both be valid in their opinions. Zack Snyder’s films are super polarising which is sort of why I like them. They don’t try to pander to everyone and end up remaining in people’s heads longer.
I can’t believe Snyder thought we’d like to see Flash reverse time and save everyone, when we could have seen him run very fast and push a truck. Wait a sec...
So... the difference is that he replaced Flash saving people for him running in circles. Yeah, better. Also, now he can go back in time whenever he wants with no consequences.
I don't think James is actually 100% enjoying it... he is just a lot more careful with what he's saying for very, very obvious reasons. Mason on the other hand is completely honest and doesn't give a fuck so... absolute respect to him for that.
By honest you mean "gotta be different from the other reviewers and appeal to the minority that dislike this movie". He does like 100% and that's fine because its clear everyone else on TH-cam does as well. The dislikers are the minority this time 🤷
@@yonsetv5223 How can his opinion being that he dislikes a lot of this movie not be in the minority? Have you seen how people talk about this movie? This is somehow the magnum opus for DC fans. I absolutely respect Mason for his opinion and his honesty. James was so so so incredibly careful with what he says and how this video even started and became a lot more comfortable around the end for reasons like either not caring anymore since it's like way past the 30m mark in an 1h long video or because Mason on the other hand has no worries of how this is going to be taken. Something that A LOT of channels did not do. And no, James literally shat on the future parts of the movie, rightfully so... he doesn't like all of this movie... completely normal since it has so many flaws.
@@darkphq Don't think so at all. If you actually listen to what are his problems with the movie, they're totally normal. James half the time was sweating from worrying how this video is going to be taken for obvious reasons.
The way you solve the slow motion problem is to speed up everything that doesn't have the Flash in it so that when the flash is in slow motion it serves a narrative purpose meanwhile the editing serves the functional purpose of making the movie three and a half hours which is basically the same length of bvs director's cut and coincidentally the length of this run on sentence.
As someone who didn't watch the first one, I enjoyed the length and character depth. But I also treated it like a TV series on a streaming service with the chapters. Probably would be unbearable in the theater.
There’s a lot that could’ve been cut out, obviously, but as another person who never saw the Whedon version I really enjoyed most of the 4 hr version. It’s the best Snyder movie I’ve ever seen.
PLOT TWIST! Martian Manhunter was actually every hero's parent in disguise! Or even better, his name in this universe isn't J'onn J'onzz but M'hrtha, wich explains why Batman and Superman moms share the same name, they it was the Marthan Manhunter all along!
I really appreciate Mason's lack of enthusiasm for this movie. The amount of equivocating that "hey this four hour movie is better than the two hour one!" instead of asking "Is it a good movie?" on TH-cam this week has been painful to witness. Mason is a breath of crotchety air.
See, this movie in my opinion was better than most avenger movies, but most of you like those forced cringey jokes and unexplained time travel holes so I guess I get why you guys hated this
@@MissHardmode It's cute that you think this is a DC vs Marvel thing. I don't recall giving you my opinion on anything but Zach Snyder's Unfettered Hubris.

32:15 "there's a guy in it who I'm not sure is an actor" That's Zheng Kai, kind of big deal in Chinese theatre and film. This is his first English-speaking role
the representation is also a big thing that snyder doesn't get as much credit as you'd think he would given how much it seems to matter nowadays. seems like he puts a lot of care into casting and picks non white actors in situations where other ppl wouldn't have, cause they could've easily used ray palmer and maybe more ppl would've recognised him cause of the routh's version, but still it was nice to give kai that opportunity. i think patty jenkins herself even said she would not have thought to cast a woman with an american accent if it weren't for zack, and nowadays it seems like dc is more pushing wonder woman to talk with a non american accent

“Faith, Alfred. Faith.” I love Batfleck’s character arc from Batman vs Superman to Justice League. In BvS, he was broken, hateful, and alone. But, Superman’s sacrifice showed him that there’s still good in the world. In Justice League, he’s rejuvenated and enjoys the company of others. He believes in the team, the people around him, he cares for all of them. The final scene with Bruce standing outside, smiling and looking at the sunset, that was brilliant. He knew his parents were proud of him, and he finally found peace.
Looked somehow even more uncomfortable in the suit compared to the 2017 version and I'm not too sure how it even happened. Overall speaking, I was hoping for much more from Batman, sadly and ironically Batfleck's probably best performance will remain the warehourse scene from BvS where he demolishes people left and right.
Wait, didn’t Superman immediately fly up to soak up the sun after he put on the black suit? I understood that to be an explicit reference to him trying to recover his strength
Yeah probably the shittiest line in the movie. It doesn’t even make sense. You want him to remember his past? Call him by the earth name - the name that means something to him. Stupid lol
@@shubhamdhaybar9962 Isolating yourself from the world makes you see extremely little of it. And being old doesn't make you omniscient. She didn't know who he was at all in Batman v Superman.
Realtalk the way they set-up his time travel powers is actually really great. He has to run past the speed of light to start reversing time, and run fast enough to turn back the explosion. The imagery of the world reforming around him, its a brilliant moment. Its crazy that Barry is just unlikeable in the Joss cut, but he's actually solid in this version. He comes off more as just awkward and not meant to be a comic relief character. Just a dork.
@@Gino565 that’s not what I mean. Of course people can like it but people are saying it’s the perfect movie and shot on anyone who says anything bad about it. Kinda like what they said in the video about people shitting on anyone who doesn’t like Snyder
I kind of get the black suit. It's established in both MoS and BvS that Superman get power from the sun and black absorbs light. I get it, you probably need a bit of a recharge after being dead for a bit. Though it is weird that no attention is given to it and he's still wearing it at the end when he opens his shirt.
But that's also coming with a lot of scenes that should just not be there, this movie has no rights being 4h when there's so many long scenes that don't add to anything. One example... very long scene of Batman going to wte town Aquaman was at. Going to his horse, before that drinking tea and putting off the fire. Then the weird lady sniffing Aquaman's sweater thrown at the ground while ppl behind her were singing... ??? Character development for Cybord should have happened in his own movie, just another mistake from WB.
@@rorschach9604 so just because Cyborg didn't get a solo movie that means JL shouldn't take the time to develop his backstory? The MCU has fooled people into thinking everyone needs a solo film before the ensemble film. Hawkeye and Black Widow had no development prior to The Avengers. Neither did Hulk seeing as the Ed Norton movie is basically redundant. That film still took the time to flesh out their characters. It's the slower moments that allow the film to breathe. Bruce riding a horse through the mountains might not add anything to the story, but the connective tissue helps make the film more cohesive as a whole. Also the Junkie XL score slapped in that scene so I didn't mind it.

Why tf would Batman walk out to a floating green guy, in his pyjamas and say ‘can I help you?’ After he literally just witnessed an alien guy lead an army to conquer earth.

Yeah... Mason wouldn't like the movie no matter how good it would have been.
At least u acknowledged it was a long ass run-on sentence lol, reading that with dyslexia was a complete and total slog
Or just not put so much damn slow-mo in these movies to begin with. Zack Snyder can't get off to his own films without it tho.

I love Batfleck’s character arc from Batman vs Superman to Justice League.
Well, he at least found the road to peace, since Darkseid is still around. But yeah, it's nice to see a happy bat.
Looked somehow even more uncomfortable in the suit compared to the 2017 version and I'm not too sure how it even happened.

@@darkknightrises3875 it really isn’t hard to hate somethings that’s 4 hours long. Example go watch a 4 hour video of a Justin Bieber song or a 4 hour video of baby shark. Yeah it’s not that hard to hate that. Plus I never said I hated it and everything I said in this comment was just to prove a point but like I said I never said I hated it I just don’t think I could waste another 4 hours watching a movie that I already watched.
1. That’s just a waste of time when I could be watching another movie or show in that time.
2. I have a life to live and I can’t just waste 4 hours nonchalantly sooo...
@@ImTrj i watched it as mini series. 2 parts at a time. Telling someone who works 10+ hours 6 to 7 days a week that he has life is pretty silly. You want to hate just for sake of hating. Have fun hating ;) and you are naming baby's show that shows how old you actually are kiddo
We ever got mullet for Superman, what’s the point
Take his mustache and just slide around the back of his head...it practically writes itself!
My favorite part of the Snyder Cut was John Krasinski's surprise cameo in the Knightmare sequence
