Taf. Perfect intercept. Suggest you panicked a little with the destroyers but remember they detect REFLECTED sound waves so if you are silent and oriented end on there will be no reflection. Then if stern on you can send 4 prezzies straight up their clacker and have a stern tube ready for any unwanted followers. Please, please keep up the fantastic work you do with this game. Far and away the most immersive and challenging subsim around bar none. Love your work.
That intro was, no doubt, one of the most impressive I’ve seen in a while. It was kind of like a Wolfpack intro: loads of awesome cinematics and nice info about what we’re about to see. Good show!
The dud may have been a bounce , your angle was not great , magnetic underneath may have worked better . No need to rush , pause as required , you are doing the job of several men when you shoot torps.
nice video Taff, not sure what happened to your AoB setting after the log popped up during the first target line up. seemed set back at 0 for the next 3 torps, may have contributed to the miss. (also think you got port and starboard mixed for the first aob you put in of 97degree. think it should of been 97 to port/red). Nice production though, enjoyed riding along for the artic convoy.
Holy hell Silent Hunter 5 is back in action. What happened to the last series that you did Taff? I was getting a bit concerned (besides the game crashes) that i would not see the series anymore.
I have never watched or even seen SH5 so for me this is brilliant, i love SH3 but would love a more detailed graphic sub game and it looks like this is the one, I'm not totally unaware of this game it's just that i never considered it because i heard that it's super buggy, anyway i enjoyed this and it looked great. I love bad weather in the SH3, what i have learnt is that the worst the weather is the better it is for subs? Anyway looking forward to some more of this, thank you

I have a Question i played yesterday and i noticed during my first patrol ( not the tutorial) that my trusted Dieter Epp suddenly hold the rank of Kapitain zur zee lol and my rank is ober luitenant zur zee ??? Very confusing haha is this a bug?

U-437 did 11 patrol’s in ww2 was badly damaged by bombs 💣 and then was cannibalised for parts in Bergen Norway. Sorry Taff I am military historian I check all information on this game as it happens.
I would play more of this game if it wasnt for the bug where you dive past 160m and can't keep up your depth and just sink down. This annoys the crap out of me.

one time i managed to stay undetected while a battle fleet sailed overhead, there was about 10 destroyers and a QE class battleship

But I have had many problems with the mods. For example I cannot see my own u-boat on the map and other things are missing there as well. Can i suggest you not use the map option that allows you to see the sonar range of escorts? also, you put monsun gruppe in the description.
