I can't believe no one's mentioned this yet: HMS Dorsetshire was the ship that delivered the killing blow to the Bismarck. U-552 has avenged the Bismarck. Now if THAT doesn't earn the crew a MUCH-deserved vacation, I don't know what will!!
For clarity cruisers were designated light or heavy based on the size of their guns rather than displacement. (Nice and confusing!) Generally 6 inch guns=light 8 inch=heavy. Most "light" cruisers built during the war displaced more than the counties.
Great episode taff, looks like the new hunting grounds will provide you with a bounty of Great victories to enjoy. Another Warship added to your tally along with more merchants, if this was real you'd be a tonnage king by now.. or at least close to it. Excellent episode and series, keep it up mate.
@@markwaynewindle5848 I believe it was a couple of torpedoes from the Dorsetshire that also delivered the coup-de-grace to Bismarck on 27th May 1941, so a bit of revenge achieved by U-552!
As the Game ist now you get better results with sinking Ships If you use contact fuse with deep run, half Meter higher as ship deep, as with magnetic fuse below the ship. But it has to run deep.
LMAO.. It's been all quiet tones as if they could hear you talking then COME ON TUBE FOUR WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Back to the hush tones......... LOL

The New Year is off to a good start Captain! That sure was some combustible tea. 🤔
Lovly sinkings Taft
Maybe refresh the crew in the front loading torpedos. It might speed up the process...
Great episode Taff! Happy Times indeed! Made my afternoon, thanks!
That cruiser had nearly 1000 men on board😅

What a nice sortie, thank you Taff. Fun episode
Great episode Taff. Thanks

Calculations have been done in regards to the Dorsetshire's typical full load displacement of 13,640 tons.
Ships sunk: 70
Tonnage sunk: 486,464
But ironically, the Dorsetshire, in the real world, was sunk in April of 1942 by the Japanese, so U-552 beat the Imperial Japanese Air Force to her.

HMS Dorsetshire had a main armament of eight 8-inch guns, Taff, so she was a heavy cruiser.
Loved this episode! :)
Love this series so much I’ve just bought the game 😊
Yeah me as well, it's on sale for £9.99 atm
Beware, the tutorial is garbage.
Really enjoying this series!
First comment! I'm looking very forward to this new episode.
Okay! Medical supplies and other things sunk is acceptable.
But TEA! Yiou had to sink a boat load of tea!!? You bastage!!
👍
Making the world's biggest cuppa for the crabs and eels to enjoy
What??? No way the escorts could possibly be THAT clueless about where you must approximately be in SH3 or IRL 80 years ago...
46:36 Wait a minute, the Baxter was exporting tea from England to Sierra Leone? Wouldn't that actually be the other way around in real life?
If you keep cleaning up RN capital ships, maybe the surface units of the KM can have some fun.
It's a shame that the game parameters doesn't take into account military tonnage sunk. You'd probably be touching 500k tons by now.
What are the two guys doing, who sit next to each other, both constanty turning large wheels in alternate directions??
I find that i only need 1 torp to sink even the boggest cargo ships. Just do magneto det and 5.5 to 6.5 meter and they sink like a stone.

I keep wondering, do ships actually sink that fast after a torpedo hit? I always thought they would take atleast 10 minutes to fully go under
What is the music at the start of the video?
Question how do you bring up the actual targeting computer in the conning tower? Every time I do a torpedo attack I don't seem to have that option?
There is a mod for the TDC.
@@davidwilliams1097 thank you
Question, how is this game nowadays, i played it long ago and it was quite bugy and lacking features, how it is right now?
what can do you do with money in the game?
What a horrible waste war is.

I just saw for the first time they are doing a nuclear submarine version
