- After many failed attempts to make collectors without any proper tools i figured out a way to make them with only a piece of wood. The results are fantastic.

At first I was like wtf, woodwork, but then... ingenius!
I’ll just 3D print the jig. A lot easier for me and the angle can be very precise

😂 cut off wheel for the wood. I love it. Good idea for a smooth hardend cut

What about a 2-1 collector? For like a twin scroll manifold running one wastegate.

Hey bean thanks. You could just use a drop saw and select your angle for a 2-1 collector. 😀
@@MattBerrymotorsport i tried that but the pipe moved a bit and it wasn't easy to get the angles the same also the saw wouldn't go right through the pipe.

if i wanted to make a jig for 3 pipes?
what angle do i drill at? 45degrees?
Hey just use a triangle shape and do the same thing on this video. You can drill at whatever angle you prefer. I like between 20° and 30°. The lower the angle, the longer the finished piece will be also so keep that in mind incase you don't have a lot of Room.

Hey Matt, how long did you cut the Black pipe? lenght
I think it was around 90mm... go a little more just to be sure and you can always cut it down before welding it together.

Get a triangle shaped piece of wood with equal length sides , let me know how you go
Cool method but that turbo inlet hole is tiny
Can cut it open as much as you need

Hey Matt where did you find the exhaust manifold flange for the 5efe to build a turbo manifold?
@@xaviSR20 hey i just took an old exhaust gasket to a lazer cutting place and they made me one. Cost $70
