      @@Theo_Skeptomai cultural infections have a huge effect on societal health. In the early 2010s, I believe that the nu-atheist moment, whilst well-intentioned, softened the bulwarks on the Quayle/Falwell type of Christianity (which had jumped the shark); intending to guide society on the path of logic, wisdom, and reason. Unfortunately, what the nu-atheists didn’t foresee, was that people in general aren’t rational or reasonable. We’ve seen the rise in intersectional critical theories (queer, race, gender, cynical, and other derivatives) taking center stage in praxis, accompanied by a lot of rage, misanthropy, belligerence, social illiteracy, and histrionic narcissism. For better and for worse, the undercurrent of religious structures in communities kept people engaged, socially, in a positive way. Unfortunately, social media has also given rise to epistemic bubbles. As to what the other dude said; while the Trump election did have an effect on lifting the veil on how unhealthy society actually was, I actually think that the people that reduce everything to “It’s Trump’s fault” make up a significant component of the problem.

      I watched a recent documentary on cloning and how it became what it is today, and the general consensus from the lead scientist that pioneered it is - it misconstrued that cloning creates life from nothing. It BORROWS existing life in order to create/replicate life. It was certainly interesting to see that statement given the complexity behind what they had researched and developed.

      In all your time watching his content have you ever heard him present evidence of a god? (I mean evidence, not illogical things like his "design/order of the cosmos", where he has exactly zero evidence a god was involved with that yet he's treating it as evidence of God -- and that's even if we're generous and assume he shows the cosmos _looks_ designed (it doesn't).)

      @@RonanWestlund Did you distract to those unrelated topics because you agree we don't know a god exists? Or are you saying you have evidence a god (a) exists and (b) was involved in those topics somehow? Well if you had that, *don't hide the evidence, man, out with it!*
      But if you don't have that, then you don't know the explanation for why the sun is that distance, right? In fact if the sun wasn't that distance, wouldn't humans cease to exist? So then 100% of life will always -- by definition -- discover that it lives somewhere life can live. Life lives where live can live -- and it doesn't live where it can't.

      Yeah but he didn't present evidence of a god.
      1a. Design: our universe overwhelmingly _doesn't_ seem designed. (At least not for us, which is his implication.)
      1b. Design: but let's say he could indicate design. Why would that be evidence of a god? It wouldn't. That's why he has to dishonestly present a false dichotomy, offering two choices (god vs. matter/energy) as though they're the only possibilities.
      2. Is god living? If so, god must come from life, according to Cliffe's "life come from life" argument. If not, you already understand why his argument is dishonest.
      3. Did Cliffe provide evidence of moral absolutes (objective morality)? He didn't. Well _Cliffe's opinion_ isn't evidence, only evidence is evidence. Worse, if Cliffe had evidence of moral absolutes would that indicate a god? No. Why would it? So presenting it as evidence of a god is dishonest.

    • @davidmccarroll8274
      @davidmccarroll8274 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@majm9309 Firstly I disagree regarding design In short life is too vulnerable and dependant on so many different factors that without every single one being right we would die within seconds .Moving on I therefore think that there has to be an intelligent mind begind it .The universe has a begining so we have the question of first cause .put it together and we have a designer .The next question is how do we gain the identity of the designer .

    • @majm9309
      @majm9309 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@davidmccarroll8274 Those aren't logical arguments for a god though.
      For "design" to be evidence of a god, you'd need to be able to actually conclude with a god. You don't even have clear evidence of design -- all you have is a universe that happens to support life, without any knowledge of how many failed universes may exist. So the fact that this is an unknown (theists aren't presenting evidence a god designed the universe) is why it's illogical to call this "evidence of god". (And often theists don't even call it that. They immediately retreat to talking about a designer. So even they seem to understand this argument doesn't really satisfy "evidence of god" at all.)
      For causality either (A) everything or (B) not everything had a cause
      * if A, an uncaused god is impossible
      * if B, a god isn't necessary. (Because you'd be saying any given thing might be uncaused.)

      @@davidmccarroll8274 So do you agree we don't have evidence of a god? Because nobody's presenting evidence of a god (A) existing or (B) being responsible for life, or the universe, or fine tuning, or the various other things gods are said to have done. _But knowledge requires evidence._ That means because nobody can present A or B, _nobody knows gods exist._ If truth is our goal, we must only believe true ideas (and avoid believing falsehoods or unknowns). Well _not having evidence means it's unknown._ So do you have any actual evidence of a god, or are you willing to abandon belief in this idea you don't know to be true? I think you should value truth.

      Romans 3:9-20-9 What shall we conclude then? Do we have any advantage? Not at all! For we have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under the power of sin. 10 As it is written:
      “There is no one righteous, not even one;
      11 there is no one who understands;
      there is no one who seeks God.
      12 All have turned away,
      they have together become worthless;
      there is no one who does good,
      not even one.”[b]
      13 “Their throats are open graves;
      their tongues practice deceit.”[c]
      “The poison of vipers is on their lips.”[d]
      14 “Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.”[e]
      15 “Their feet are swift to shed blood;
      16 ruin and misery mark their ways,
      17 and the way of peace they do not know.”[f]
      18 “There is no fear of God before their eyes.”[g]
      19 Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. 20 Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.

    *I'm 70 now and have read only the exact same copy of the King James Bible my church gave me in 1961. (This does not mean I was a King James onlyist but now I'm glad I never read any others or I might not have noticed the supernatural changes as quickly.) I had memorized many scriptures from it through the years. Then in 2014 I started seeing changes in it that I couldn't explain. I have an exceptional memory, for instance I can draw a detailed picture of my baby stroller. I had never owned a computer or heard of the "Mandela Effect" back then. But after being given my first computer on 2016, I finally found out why I had been noticing all of the oddities that I couldn't explain. I then started diligently studying what should actually be called the ''Daniel 7:25 Effect''. That's where God said He would give the antichrist the power to "change times and laws'' which we now know meant (history and scripture plus laws of physics). We're seeing many end times prophecies being fulfilled SUPERNATURALLY! This is some of the "lying signs and wonders" that God told us He would give the AC power to perform which would even deceive His very elect, if it were possible in 2nd Thessalonians chapter two!*
    *God said in the end of days, (NOW!) that He would send us a famine for hearing His word in Amos **8:11** and that He would give the antichrist the ability to do this in Daniel 7:25. In Daniel 12:4 & 12:9 He told him to seal his book until the end days. He told John **_not_** to seal his book because the end time is at hand in Revelation 22:10. One of the Greek definitions of seal in Strongs concordance is “to protect from Satan”. He also told us to write His words in our hearts, which meant memorize, if not word for word at least the essence of what was written, because He knew this was going to happen.*
    *God commanded us to "prove all things", and people **_better_** obey Him, especially on this subject. I urge you to research this. There are many brothers and sisters making videos about the changes with more proof of what was originally written and I have lots more about this in my playlist 👉 which can be found by typing in ( proof of bible change residue junkie )* 👈
    *I've continued to study scripture and have grown MUCH closer to Jesus by learning what Satan has been changing. Soon Amos **8:12** will be fulfilled too, and the only way it can happen is by not being able to see these videos that document what used to be written in our bibles.*
    *_May God bless all who read this with eyes to see this incredible faith strengthener, and how close we are to our Saviour's return!!!!_*
    *P.S. Everyone is going to learn about this one way or the other. I'm just trying to keep as many people as I can from hearing Jesus explaining it to them at the Gate.* ❤✝️💪

Though apparently we have far more ancient manuscripts of the New Testament than any other documents in history and it's been followed since his supposed life. You don't have to literally spend your life wandering the earth as a homeless vagrant spreading the word of Christ to get into heaven. If you feel that you're calling then you need to settle that with Christ through prayer and meditation and be honest with what you feel like you need to do. Don't be resentful towards your calling. Also don't look at others people's calling and take that on as your own obligation. One of the men hung on the cross with Christ is dining in Paradise with him right now. That's the extent of Jesus mercy. This man had not known the Christ well until his dying breath but still he is in heaven. Very powerful guys very powerful. Trust in the Lord and he will guide us all to our destinies which ultimately ends up in heaven with him. How we get there on earth doesn't really matter as long as we pray and obey. ❤️🎉

    Around 23 minutes in the origin of life thing is brought up. Now, back in 1997 Cliffe probably couldn't have known this, but in more recent times James Tour, one of the world's most renowned biochemists have challenged the origin of life community.
    The basic story is that Darwin speculated about some primordial soup, or pond, filled with chemicals and getting struck by lightning and such. This is still taught today, heck in was in Star Trek. Well then in the fifties a scientist whose name I forget mucks about with chemicals in a lab, and manages to create something that looks like the building blocks for life. This further strengthens the theory, and today many origin of life researchers are still going at it. They express much faith that science will eventually figure it out.
    That's where James Tour comes in. On his youtube channel he has issued five chemical and biochemical challenges to the origin of life research. If anyone can answer just one of these questions James Tour has woved to shut down his entire channel. To this date no one has provided any kind of answer to his challenges.
    Anyway, look into it, but the gist of it is that it looks increasingly impossible that life arose from basic chemistry, and that wasn't know too well back in the 90s.

    29:00 But would feeling regret not indicate that there was a feeling you didn’t particularly enjoy (guilt in this sense) that would then lead to the feeling of regret?
    Regret can’t exist in a vacuum, the mere concept of feeling regretful implies there is a different course of action and/or feeling you would have rather taken. So in the literal sense of the word, regret could not possibly be the initial feeling felt, there would first need to be an emotion/feeling strong enough to then bring about regret into the scenario.
    Curious to see if people agree because I don’t think I’m wrong on that
