I already slightly feed a mix of kibble/raw with veggies and fruit blended in.
BUT I want to add more variety (on a BUDGET)
I'm in Australia and some of these meats etc can be hard to find
I'm also feeding 4 White Swiss Shepherds (Berger Blanc Suisse), (2 dogs are almost 1 year old, one is 2 years old and the other is almost 3 years old) they range in weight of 26kgs-42kgs.
Can you help me with finding the CORRECT feeding proportions???

I’m right there with you! A product that really gives me peace if mind is “Dr. Jodie’s Natural Pets N-Trail Mix” it’s nothing but tiny chopped up pieces of organs, and it’s got basically everything! Liver, kidney, spleen, heart, gizzard, and brains, from lamb, grass fed beef, turkey and pork. I replace a bit of my liver and kidney with a few generous pinches of that mix. It’s $14 bucks on amazon and lasts a long time!
I don't even own a dog. This is just really relaxing to watch the prep and weighing.
When ur dog eats a WAY healthier diet than you...lol. Kinda sad how we don’t take as much care of ourselves as we should.
Maybe u dont.. but i do. I dont eat any junk or fizzy drinks.. i never eat takeaways.. eat fresh home cooked food daily. Ppl laugh and say oh im boring i dont eat takeaway KFC or desserts.. but i care about what u put in my body and save money too

There's a difference though. You choose to eat unhealthy foods. Our animals don't get the choice. So we need to do what's best for them

I prep everyday and maybe a day out cuz I have a small freezer and what I have is always changing! But I’ve managed to keep a good rotation of organs, muscle meats and work in a meat dpt! I get deals on old holiday turkey parts in the freezer! Which is great because it’s all local/natural/free range. It’s great since I prefer turkey over chicken when possible since it has better omega 3 vs 6 ratio than chicken.
Is there a video on like where to start? I’m so intimidated 😩 everything seems to say something different. I need like a “feed this on day one” video lol

I found using grams instead of ounces made the portions so much more consistent! Though on a weighing scale its relatively consistent, but densities do vary sometimes

1. For the organ meat do you half his daily allowance into the bowls if feeding twice a day?
2. Can you go more in depth about the extra stuff at the end of the video? Why do they need that? How to make the veggie purée, etc.

What do you do with the leftover meats? Put them in the fridge or freezer? There’s so much I wouldn’t want any of it to go bad in the fridge but you also can keep thawing and freezing again?

If you are learning to raw feed a puppy or very active dog, don't forget to add more fat to their diet. Growing puppies, depending on breed, need up to 20% fat, which is quite a lot, and very active dogs - sporting dogs, working dogs, etc, can require just as much fat as a puppy, depending on their activity levels.
For example, my own dogs are working hunters (German Shorthaired Pointers) and they run up to 100km a day, so they require 20-30% fat when in full work.
Once you get started, you'll find raw feeding is nowhere near as hard as you imagined. The best advice I can give you is to never stop learning. I've been raw feeding for 40+ years and I'm still scouring every thing I can on raw feeding to improve my dogs diets.
Hey, i am going to start raw feeding my 1 year old GSD soon and i had a few questions. The ratio i have seen is
80/10/5/5 but this does not take into account the holes in the diet. Is there a more accurate ratio you would recommend, or are the extras in addition to this ratio? also is it okay for the dog to eat sardines with the bones still inside? thanks

Do you have any videos for large breeds? I have an Irish Wolfhound, and this looks intimidating for such a large dog. Currently I feed kibble and add raw on top for extra nutrients, but I would like to go all raw

I had been considering going raw for SO LONG as a diet change had been recommended for my dogs persistent ear problems, but your video made me finally commit!! After your video I binged a bunch more an learned how to properly balance his diet as well as keeping it affordable and easy!! My puppy thanks you!! He has never been more excited for his food and and never had better cleaner poops and ears!! Thank you!!

Thee is no reason to wash ur meats before cutting and feeding,the “water” that comes with raw meat is actually beneficial!
So if I want to make dogfood that's already/ready to cook (like the canned stuff), I can still follow this?
I can see you portion out everything for a week. Wouldn't the food spoil by day in seven in fridge? Not afraid of food contamination? Then you have left over meat you bag up...you put it in the freezer? Thaw then freeze again?

Most people freeze the meals and take them out the night before.
How do you calculate your bone? Do you weigh it and subtract the meat weight from it?

Was it two different herbal flea and Tick powders?
Yeast free herbal flea and tick powder from earth animal, Raw Vitaboost from Kin and Kind (this is to aid in zinc requirements as it has wheatgrass in it, which is high in zinc), green lipped mussel powder from Super Snouts (I didn't have any fresh ones, the powdered is still good for getting some omega-3s and joint support), kelp (for iodine requirement)
This was so helpful! I have a question though. Is it ok to thaw and then refreeze meat?
It is! After a few times it does degrade the nutrients a bit, but it's find to do a couple times as long as the meat is still good.
Generally no. When you freeze something it stops the existing bacteria to develop but you don't kill it.
Shure dogs are more resistant to bacteria but it's not optimal. And if your dog is sensitive in general it wont help if you wanna switch to raw diet.
Cut up all fresh meat and organs and everything and freeze it in portions and your done.

The veggie puree I made myself with kale, spinach, dandelion greens, wheatgrass, and parsley, but you can buy Green Juju from a local pet store if they carry it. Myoglobin can be found in the containers of red meat or organ meat. It's simply the red "juice" that has secreted out of the meat.

Hi! Where do u purchase the Bone Broth, Myoglobin and Veg Puree that you used this video?
I make the bone broth and veg puree! But if you want pre-made, Only Natural Pet and Open Farms makes bone broth that you may be able to find in pet stores. And Green Juju is a great veg mix. Myoglobin is found leftover from the meat/organ containers I have.
What calculator do you use to see what portions they need ?
Put a wet cloth under your cutting board to prevent its moving while you’re cutting the meat!
Do you wash the meat before preparing it to feed ?
Where do you get the proteins?
I can’t imagine what you must spend! Most people don’t eat this well!
Can they eat raw and kibble. Like raw 2-3 days and kibble the rest or does it have to be an all or nothing thing

Duck as far as those bone cuts! Only a bit larger than chicken.
