I’ve recently decided to go carnivore, for the 4 days I’ve stayed away from sugar and carbs; not perfectly! The more meat I ate in each meal gradually I was noticing stuff changing particularly my poop! My dog Buster is starting today on his carnivore diet. I’m so glad I found you! I listened to 3 videos in a row and understand the importance of a balanced meal for our pets. He’s 13 years old, most of his teeth have been pulled, he has arthritis, skin problems and fatty lumps. I’ve done most of his care at home for treatments and prevention using natural remedies. I know that our lives will never be the same. I am so ready to be healthy, and I promised him when he was 8 weeks old that I would always take care of him! The time is now to improve the quality of our lives!!! Okay, first off, how do you not have more views?! i’m genuinely shocked, you do such an incredible job and they’re always so informative and visually pleasing. Second, do you not feed fruits and veggies to your dogs? I’ve always seen them incorporated into the raw meals for dogs, not cats, but i thought that was important as unlike cats, dogs are strictly carnivores? thanks!
Awh well thank you ❤️ and I do sometimes! Just didn't make a veggie puree this time around. This isn't to balance the diet, but more so to add in a fiber source

7 day prep:
1. Meaty bones: chicken wings
2. Secreting organ meat liver: veal, beef goat or lamb
3. Secreting organ meat: pork kidney (beef kidney has a lot of fat)
4. Muscular organ: chicken hearts, green tripe? or lungs
5. Muscle meats (bulk of the meat): pork chops, chicken thigh, ground beef
6. Salmon, Mackarell, Mussles
7. Kelp, zinc, vitamic E
8. Bonus: non gmo Kefir

Love your video. Please NOTE: Beef liver is very high in Vit A which dogs can become toxic. Plese check the amount of Vit A for whichever animal Liver you use.

I know you do mostly whole prey for your ferrets, but would you possibly do an example of how to meal prep a frankenprey diet for them and how you balance out their nutrients? What a great video!! Thank you for making this content. I'm sorry if you already covered this question I'm about to ask: I understand that you prepare seven containers (one for each day of the week). But do you divide each day's container into multiple portions to feed multiple times in the day (i.e.: half of one container for breakfast and the other half for dinner), or do you feed the entirety of each container at one single serving time in the day?
I wish I could get my miniature pinscher/staffy mix to eat raw. He liked it at 4 months old and now literally gags if he tries a bite of raw ANYTHING. He hates the texture. Refuses to eat bones. Soooo we partially cook the meat. Has not been an easy road by any means. We've not been able to afford or get access to organ meats consistently so we've been forced to only feed alternating muscle meats with a veggie and a Meal Mix packet from Dr. Mercola. Trying to expand the nutrition here. You're information is so thorough and well studied. Just feel truly overwhelming.Not to mention the cost is far, far beyond what is affordable for us in "clean" meats. Now that pork are injected with mrna whackzines ( no thanks), it's more important than ever to be mindful of how the meat is raised and if it's injected with anything. Got to do our best, but I know it isn't good enough..

I have committed to raw feeding my dog. She doesn't like tinned food and won't go near kibble, but she has always loved proper meat and organs. I measured her first set of meals yesterday using what was available at the supermarket. Chicken legs, ground beef, sardines and liver mainly (they were out of kidney. I have ordered a BARF supplement that fills the gaps with iodine and manganese, etc. And for the next prep and going to the butcher abbatior where we get our meat a couple of times a year. They do ground organ meat for dogs really cheap. This consists of the tripe, intestine, liver, kidney, brain, heart etc. and will form the base (with added chicken heads, wings or drumsticks for bone).

I found your channel a few days ago and woth one of your videos I also found out about raw diets for cats (I previously had only heard of it for dogs) and since then I'm kinda binge watching your content. The videos are all really well made and informative. I don't know if I will ever feed a pet a raw diet (I don't have an own pet yet and I'm not sure if I'd be willing to put the tine and efford into raw feeding) but it's still very interesting to learn about raw feeding. I'll definitely consider raw feeding once I get cats though

i am trying to transition my 70 lb pit to a raw diet! im wondering do you just feed him once a day or twice? I was told by my dog’s vet to split the portion of his meal into to meals (morning/night) because of his size.

I would love to see a video on preping a raw bowl for the main weight on dogs. I think it would help alot of people that want to feed raw. For example, I have a 35lb dog that is fully grown, and I am having trouble with what to put in the bowl and how much for my 35lb dog. I'm not good with percentage.
Awesome video! Our Bella was ok with raw ground beef at first, but the ground beef has lately caused some gastrointestinal distress...we've swapped to (cooked) chicken (I'm a little leary of store bought raw chicken - I'd rather it be farm fresh) for now....any advice?

Hi, I have a quick question, for the spreadsheet you made can you please have it tell us when we go over the maximum allowance. This is just as important as under balancing and defeats the purpose of the spreadsheet if we have to figure the max ourselves.

Yes, it does tell you that! But the safer upper limits for most nutrients are all quite high, so you're most likely not going to hit a dangerously high intake unless you're supplementing with synthetic nutrients (or just feeding a crazy amount of something). Regardless, you should always try to stay in your pet's daily range as much as possible. Nutrients like protein, fat, sodium, and vitamin A will often appear much higher, but that's fine as long as it's not an astronomical amount.

would chicken legs be good source of bone meat like wings? or the bone that is on thighs? not sure how to measure it unless i debone them then weigh the bone?
You’re videos are amazing I have been binging them since I plan on starting my dogs on a raw diet soon. When you prep the meals do you keep them in the freezer and thaw them out in the morning or do they stay good in the fridge for a week?

This is honestly phenomenal! Been thinking about why we give pets kibble for so long now. If I ever get a cat/dog I will absolutely be prescribing to your methods. By the way, I was wondering, does the diet change much depending on the breed of dog? Specifically, if I were to get a dog, I was thinking about a Toy Poodle, or something similar, aka, something small and hyper allergenic.
The amount fed would only change by the pet's weight the percentages of the food categories would not change. I'm a standard poodle mama btw!
The food that you put away for the week in the containers do you freezer that back as well or ?

Hey! I have a question! I’m starting a raw transition for my malinois, but I was planning to vac seal his meals so it’s easier to store and thaw out, would this still be good? Or would you recommend storing raw in the fridge and using it as you go? I’ve just had bad experiences of trying raw and it going bad from being out for an entire week which leads to me throwing away certain things I don’t freeze in time..
Does your flea and tick supplement powder actually work bc I have a few fleas on my dogs and I keep washing them with flea and tick shampoo but they always end up having some later on 😭

Just switching my cats to raw and it’s difficult because the one is allergic to so many things. Shellfish, fish oil, coconut oil, flax, not sure about certain things but possibly dairy, eggs, duck, beef. I feel so bad for him. It’s really hard. I mostly give him chicken parts with some Stella and Chewy freeze dried to make sure he is getting everything. He gets itchy easy and his bladder gets irritated and he pees on the floor if he eats something he shouldn’t. He’s only 2. He got a bad stomach bug a year ago and ever since then he can’t handle anything
Question regarding raw pork! Do you buy it frozen? I read raw pork is supposed to be frozen first, just wondering your thoughts on that.

How many times a day do you feed your pup?
I'm new to raw feeding and I usually prep bigger containers with 3 days worth of meals. Then I freeze everything and thaw one container at a time which I will have in the fridge for three days and I will take out what I need for each meal. I started doing it because you can keep the meat in the fridge for 3 days but I'm always a bit worried that it won't be so fresh on day 3. Is it ok to do it that way or should I do daily containers and thaw one each day?

Also I was wondering if there is a specific reason to why you buy the meats from different places instead of ordering everything you need online and having it delivered? Is it because of quality or price or because you enjoy the shopping?
I live in germany and I order a month's worth of raw food at a time which works very well and is quite cheap (and the quality seems pretty good), so I was wondering why you do it differently and if you have advice on that :) thank you!
Not an expert, but in my experience, three days from frozen is just fine. I usually take my dog’s meals out of the freezer and let them thaw 2-3 days and never had a problem.
Please, explain, one such container for one meal? So if I feed my dog twice a day I will need 2 containers like that? Thank you!
How do you store the meals for the next 6 days?
I think it's really easy when uh have a small breed dog but it's really hard and messy n expensive when it comes to medium or large size dog but I'm doing one time kibble or one time raw meat but it's still hard especially about the space we need to freeze it

How do I calculate each of my dogs need / amount of each thing in a diy Raw diet I only feed pre maxes at the minute as I have 6 dogs to feed so I’m not sure if diy would be to much hassle ?

Do you only feed once a day?
Great meal prep. Unfortunately, I don't live in a metropolitan area, so most of those ingredients (so far) are not available to me. We only have 2 *very* small asian stores and they don't carry the wide variety you seem to be able to find. At my grocery store I'm able to find chicken liver, gizzards and feet and beef liver. I am in contact with a local person that raises chickens and he will sell me hearts and livers (at $4 lb) and feet ($3 lb). He keeps the necks with the bird for cooking so those are unavailable. I still need to make contact with some butchers, and maybe I'll be able to source some things there.
~ I did want to ask one question since I have not seen anyone address it, can I give my senior 60 lb GSD one drop of Lugol's 2% Iodine Solution since I take that myself and have it available? I'd rather use what I have than buy a Kelp supplement. Thank you!

You don’t have to it gets the bacteria all over the kitchen and it doesn’t make the meet much cleaner

I transitioned my 12 year old dog from kibble to raw and she never had trouble with it. She loves the raw food and her health keeps getting better and better!

It really depends on what I source that week!

I am currently feeding my cat the hill adult cat food. I am trying to convince my parents into feeding him a raw diet they said yes to a partial raw diet with some raw meats and the hill adult dry food. What raw meats should I feed him with the dry food and how much each day?
Any kind of muscle meat or muscular organ is fine! A tiny amount of secreting organs like kidney, brain, and pancreas are also great to feed. Raw meaty bones 1-3 times a week is a good way to keep the teeth clean as well.
That's going to depend on a few factors. Check out her cheat sheets on her website, they do a good job of summing things up. She also has several videos on this exact subject!

I give him a small part of his meal in the morning (usually with a liquid source so it's kind of like a soup) then I give him the rest of his meal at dinner time
