for the second tip, you can just press guard before pressing dodge. that way you will have a drawn weapon roll and you can do your claw attack directly from a sprint roll and the backstep too ofc.
I actually feel kinda proud of myself for having learnt to do all of these on my own. Great guide for mid/advanced sns players that want to learn some cool tech, would be easier to follow if your character didn't have so much... personality... Yeah, great vid as always. Keep it up 👍

You're fighting big monsters and dragons with these big swords and hammers and guns! Little me didn't get used to the timing out of impatience however, so I went knife and shield for my play. Course I didn't play any monster hunter game beyond that when I saw World was coming out.
i'm late to the party as always. i've found it's much easier when trying to go from sheathed>roll>backstep. instead of guarding after the roll, guard right before the roll then backstep after rolling. i've found it's far more forgiving and more consistent at least for me
My first game in the series, the result of arm-twisting, was an import of MH2 Dos, so I'll point out that drawing with guard was a thing back in 2nd generation as well, I never played original to know if it applies there too. It's been a great technique since forever. I'm going over videos to retrain my mind for Iceborne all this time later. (Did it on ps4 but it's fresh for my PC character, got it on sale to join the new wave)
I’m pretty sure you can press guard before rolling which will unsheathe your weapon but with no animation and you can even go immiediatly into backstep

During the reversal frame cant you just push the stick in the direction you want to attack and aim a back hop into perfect rush or charged slash that way?
why do most of mh content makers have drag queen characters its just weird. creepy at some point when i am in the gathering hub surrounded by half naked females knowing their not females, all that while the game has some of the sickest armor sets in gaming i jave ever seen.
@brambazelmans7753 alot of it has to do with rather looking at a female or a male the whole time I've always played male in mh but world I went female specifically for the armors cause alot of people said the female armors are nice but world has better male armors

Yea every time I get back into mhw I try to master a new weapon to learn something new and now is sns time

You can backstep from the guard and back step from the roll. You dont need to make the back step into three actions when it can be two.
The idea is Wyverian is giving you the tools, you use em as yoh see fit.
