I’m glad y’all still playing this game, i played a year of vanilla MHW. I stopped and came back a month ago for ice borne. I’m glad to still see hunters still answering SOS flares. This game and community is amazing keep it up hunters!
Definitely agreed! Bought base game with a huge discount at a convention, but only actually started playing last november, roped in my bf, we jumped into iceborne and master rank only after doing every single stupid quest in base game (screw you, winds of the new world). We are at the very first velkhana encounter and I'm well above 500 hours of game play, none of which were poorly spent! Love this game! Wish I could have played some of the previous ones as they came out.

I know these are technically Event quests, but the quests "SDF: Silent, Deadly, and Fierce" and "The Assassin" might be worth noting for the Assassin's Mantle.
It's also the longest duration and shortest cool down of all mantles, if you make sure to wait until the monster aggros at you before hitting it (otherwise the one-time attack buff triggers). The plus version is essentially free gem slots
Tbh just do all the optionals. You’ll get all the mantles and boosters, upgrade them all, maximize your botanical garden efficiency, unlock tons of canteen ingredients, get a few other goodies and lots of materials, and most importantly you’ll have the sweet, sweet satisfaction of that big red “COMPLETED” banner next to everything. Edit: also new weapon workshop series when?
Absolutely agreed! Canteen ingredients are more important than garden efficiency, imo. I went and got every one of them (bless the wiki for the one of a kind ones) and all the friends I play with thank me, because they can use mine as "guest food" and consistently can use the best abilities while also having atk or def large.

If there's no quest in the list that's still unfinished, then there's still someone you need to talk to or some requirement you've yet to meet before it's unlocked. Try checking Astera and Seliana to see if there are any exclamations points indicating that there's someone you should talk to, and check the Research Base too.
@@cronusoceanus6087 that means you have some quests not unlocked yet, but you have completed all optional quests available to you right now. Some quests may only be unlocked at a certain MR level, e.g. MR 150, 175, 200 unlocks certain quests
Is MHW:I coming to the end? Well, there are STILL gonna be Arch tempered ruiner nergi, Blackveil Vaal, Shara Ishvalda, Alatreon (probably), Safi'jiiva and of course, the flagship, Velkhana at the end.
Ya but Arch Tempered is lazy and easy content to make. Iceborne is definitely coming to an end and they are no doubt ramping up development for the next game
Definitely would like to see a follow-up with the special armor pieces & special layers. I'm currently working on them during the anniversary festival.
Small side not for the Quests that upgrade the Apothecary and Immunity Mantle. You must fully research (all 4 stars in your hunting guide) Black Veil Vaal Hazak and Savage Jho to unlock the quests. Once the research bar is full the Quests will become available.

Well we still have at least one returning monster left. Then we will probably grind a little to get some master rank layered armor. It's been a good run, I'd rather the game comes to an end rather than a painfully slow drip-feed of content.

@Big Nigga it's not necessarily at safi. The dracolite very well might be important to fatalis' armor as well seeing as how they kept it a secret from us and how they only did implied that we'll have some ability to control the skill caps. We also still don't have the largest fuel option for the Steamworks which is supposed to give 1000 fuel instead of 500.
I feel a little bit overwhelmed just remembering how many things you gotta do in order to unlock all the tools. I still don't know why people do all the "optionals" but this video helps a lot.

I just started playing mhwi yesterday again, and btw I have 300 hours on the game, and there is one quest where you had to fight a tempered furious rajang that I could never do without dying once, but as soon as I came back to the game I beat it first try without dying, I am a happy man
Hey I seen you were a recent comment and I have a problem so I don’t have the vitality mantle and I can’t find a this heres big horned country do you know any solutions
Start with story, then the villager request ones(the ones with a text balloon next to them) and every quest to upgrade the kitchen, botanical research centre and mantles. Complete the deliveries for the research centre. Then once you finish the story for world. Then finish the remaining optional ones for low rank and high rank to unlock white winds of the new world for early acces to research commission tickets for say upgrading charms, some weapons and armor. Hunt 5 threat level one tempered, 5 level 2 tempered monsters. Then move onto iceborne and start the same thing all over again.

I think they nerfd him a little, because I felt like he lacked health and speed, it left too many openings, if he at least attacked in tempered barioth speed with those ice freezing attacks, it could have been a great battle

@Kuma what I mean by nerf is that by a tempered monster standard, it wasn't even aggressive or powerful or fast, it felt like regular history mode barioth, even tempered nargacuga or tempered brute tigrex are a fun fight, but this fight for me was nerfed in terms of what a tempered monster should be
I think Barioth is there for people with a bit lower gear to be able to farm up and upgrade. For people who are decked out for endgame, of course he's easy. If you like a challenge just solo him. If you need to farm him to gear up, group/sos it to make him easier. Alatreon is supposed to be the endgame battle for a while.
Thanks for this video Arrekz! I realized that the quest for the Thermae layered armor is not an event quest but an optional. I've been trying to find it in the event quests 😓
Also if you complete all optional quests, capture all monsters and reach hr49 you unlock a quest to kill a tempered Kirin and gain a rainbow pigment for armors
What about the razor sharp charm (and I think there is at least one other charm)? I feel like they are not displayed clearly (as a quest reward) and you should’ve went over these as well.
There's 2 or 3 charms you can only get if you do the quests that are called 'The Purr-fect Roome:stone' then 'dark iron' 'iron' and 'silver' You get tese quests from your housekeeper. You have to be MR 10 for the housekeeper to give you the first quest in the chain. The Razor Sharp charm comes from the 'Light Iron' Purr-fect room quest and you have to be MR 15 for it to be available at the housekeeper. To receive the charms just talk to the housekeeper after you've done the quest. Hope this helps everyone who was unclear on this! (personal sidenote the only useful charm in this quest chain is the Razor Sharp one so don't worry too much if you're far away from master rank)

I am actually mr 200+ and I’ve got 400h+ in the game and therefore I’ve completed all the side quests but I have the feeling, he could have touched on these as well, since they are not clearly displayed as quest rewards and many of the bowgun builds do use the razor sharp charm.

This game has so much content its insane! I just started iceborne and didn't even finish all of the content in the base game. Iceborne might as well be a second game in and of itself!
@@resevil2396 They always have expansions, and it's always more than worth the price in terms of content, the main difference is that usually the expansions are entirely seperate games, but with Iceborne and Generations Ultimate they were nice enough to let people carry on with the same save file

My hunter is retired from hunting. Got all the possible gold crowns from large monsters, and completed all assignments and optional quests. Now, I’m just researching on endemics and trying to get gold crowns from them.
I dont why, but I dont get the Quest for the rocksteady Mantel Upgrade. I have the normal one and im already MR 140+ but I still dont got every Quest Like the rocksteady... Anyone got some ideas?
I think the fifth title update is gonna be the final one. Maybe we will have couple AT elders after it but I think that’s gonna be it. After that we will just have to wait for gen 6 monster hunter. Might take couple years for that to come.

I tried finding upgrade rocksteady mantle mission but it doesnt anywhere how do get the tempered black diablos mission
Make sure your higher then MR17 and if u r try looking at the Seliana armory
You must upgrade some other mantles to unlock the tempered black diablos quest. There are some guides available

I think the fifth title update is gonna be the final one. Maybe we will have couple AT elders after it but I think that’s gonna be it. After that we will just have to wait for gen 6 monster hunter. Might take couple years for that to come.

@@ancientgaming1098 Yeah. At least thats how the main series monster hunter games were released in the past. You get a new mh game that stops at high rank, then a g-rank (master rank) expension, and you wait for the new game.
