I think Syndrome is the best of both the sympathetic villain and the bastard villain. His backstory is relatable but there's still that underlying ego he's possessed since he was a kid that made it impossible for us to truly sympathize with him. It's easy to see why he's mad but it's even easier to see how he goes way too far with his anger. He's perfect!
John Silver from Treasure Planet is the best. Everyone knows he’s bad from the start, but then he spends so much of the movie being the father Jim never had and a genuinely good dude only for him to tear it all away right in front of Jim. And then right at the end he has one of the best redemptions since Darth Vader and still manages to get away with at least a little bit of loot. And on top of all of that, he’s got the swagger of a badass pirate and an incredible design that flawlessly blends 2-d and 3-d animation
In my opinion, one of the best animated villains is Scar from The Lion King. He also starts with zero power, manipulates everyone and in the end, his arrogance and betrayal of everyone are his doom.
Claude Frollo without a doubt. He doesn't have an extravagant, over-the-top plan to take over the world, but is more rooted in reality. He disguises himself as a pious, virtuous man -- a man of God -- though in the same vein he lusts after a teenager. “Dear Virgin Mary, make Esmeralda mine or let her burn in hell” will never not make me squeamish, and unfortunately we all will encounter a person like him in our lives.
Coming to the defense of Ming Lee because I was extremely receptive to this storyline where you grow up very self conscious of being a bad kid because your mother seems so strict and then you learn later in life that she was such a larger problem child than you could ever be.
I still think Hades could've won much earlier in the film had he used pragmaticism, if his entire plan was to dethrone Zeus and he has a potion to turn a god into a mortal, why didn't he just use the potion on Zues by mixing it into his food or drink? Then when Zeus becomes mortal, Hades could just kill him and become the new ruler of Olympus. It sounds like Hades just waited 18 years for no reason when he had the tool to dethrone Zeus from the start of the film.
The worst villain I could think of in recent years is Bowser from The Super Mario Bros. Movie, due to him being incredibly inconsistent where he is either treated like a complete sadistic threat or a comedic relief who spouts the incredibly cringe worthy and unfunny jokes. The worst aspect of Bowser’s character in the movie is mainly on how they flanderized him by making his love with Peach the only major character trait and joke that they shove down your throat every possible moment they could get. Seriously, the only reason why people actually think this version of Bowser is good is just because of Jack Black lol.
Loving the channel so far this is the second video I’ve seen after watching the Finn video. Definitely looking forward to more of your stuff. Next you gotta talk about Avatar the last airbender the og lol. So nvm it’s literally your third video lol, talk about an anime.
There needs to be a Part 2! Bc seriously, how do you put Dr. Facilier here but not Claude Frollo from The Hunchback of Notre-Dame. He is the one of the true GOATS of Animated Villians right beside Syndrome!
I wrote a whole comment on this, too, lol. I think what stands out the most about him, in comparison to other villains, is that he is way too rooted in reality. A corrupt man who presents himself as virtuous. He always rubbed me the wrong way.
Yeah for Turning Red makes sense given it is a terrible film and doesn’t even know who it’s audience is and clearly has no idea what’s appropriate for the film and clearly has no idea how people talked back then (seriously as a guy who grew up in the early 2000’s I would know! No one ever behaved like they did in the film!)
It's not a bad film. I like it. It's got good emotional resonance. Even though I was born in the 2000s, so I don't know much about how people then acted, as a girl who was once a preteen girl and knew other preteen girls, the cringe behaviors are accurate
@@eway44 All evidence to the contrary. In fact I can say this film is unnecessary. We don’t need a film covering periods. What do you think sex education is for? Singing kumbaya?
@@hetaliangarbage Oh yeah? Tell that to the execution of it. Or are you willingly ignoring those particular scenes? Sorry but all you're proving is that you have no idea what you're talking about
@@MrWill9002They made two jokes about periods because Mei’s mother didn’t know she turned into a panda and now the entire movie is about periods? The movie was about the women in Mei’s family pushing expectations on their daughters which forced them to conform. The panda was a representation of the repression that comes from trying to conform. When Mei accepts the panda, she rejects those toxic expectations. Like I thought the message was obvious? Did you even watch the movie? 💀

Mother Gothel is the darkest villain I've ever seen in Disney movies ever
She had no hesitation when she stabbed Flynn. She was ruthless and nonchalant about it.
bro CLONE WARS MAUL was an amazing villain
When bro first came back to get back at kenobi
“You would not believe the depths I went to, just to stay alive
ALL FOR MY HATRED, FOR YOU”
Plus Faciler got a peak voice actor, Keith David
Lord shen from kung fu panda is goat for me.when iwas a kid when i saw what he did to po village I was like this shit is dark😮😮

Honestly, my personal favorite is the Spot in ATSV. Bro was on demon timing majority of the film
I'm a need a part 2 👍
Jack Horner from Puss in Boots The Last Wish is an all-timer. No redemption arc; just evil through and through for the fun of it.

Horde Prime from She-Ra is def a fave villain
Mob of the dead reference. Nice!

The teacher from Leo, isn’t really a villain
She is an antagonist that served her role
@@sjoerdderks4731 antagonist, yes but villain is more like… evil
6:45 funny
Evil was 😮 in the past, In the Future 👎
What about Scar from lion king
I'm your biggest fan...
How dare you disrespect my girl Ming Lee😠
